did anakin teach all of his apprentices to wield a lightsaber wrong on purpose?

As a joke

Daily reminder that the Venator-class star destroyer is objectively the best capital ship

this but unironically

>the day we stop believing in democracy is the day freedom dies!
>oh my god, they want to be INDEPENDENT?

>instead of Commander Bacara we get Commander Jet a literally who
A missed oppurtunity to introduce Bacara and sand marines.

Valid question OP.

In TPM we saw that the Republic wouldn’t lift a finger to help slaves on Tatooine and their credits weren’t even accepted as a valid currency. I’m not one of those edgelords who defends the Empire, but credit where credit is due: by ANH there didn’t seem to be slavery -at least it wasn’t as prevalent, and the Stormtroopers weren’t afraid to actually enforce order. TPM also demonstrated how easily the Trade Federation could take over a planet while the Senate sits around playing with their dicks.

In AOTC, Dooku spells out how corrupt the Republic is to Obi-Wan and he’s not even lying. The Senate is controlled by a Sith Lord at worst, and they are a bunch of spineless fucks at best. The comics expand on this too, there are senators who take bribes, gamble, do favors for their buddies, etc.

The Jedi have become the Republic’s bitch, Dooku was right to leave.

They fight their wars with an army of slave soldiers, bred to just mindlessly agree and with shorter lifespans.

Why were the separatists in the wrong for wanting to leave such a bloated, corrupt, hypocritical and easily manipulated government?

WHAT THE HELL, GEORGE?!

>using weapons to win a war
Jesus how inhumane

THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A KID'S SHOW, GODDAMN IT!

MY KIDS HAS NIGHTMARES NO THANKS TO YOU, GEORGE!

What about all of Jabba's slaves in Jedi? I'm not saying personal slavery hasn't subsided with the Empire, but there's clearly still exceptions to that rule, namely the Hutts. The only Stormtroopers we ever see on Tatooine are the ones sent down from the Executor to recover R2 and C3PO, there's no reason to think the Empire is exercising any more control over the Outer Rim than the Republic.

pottery

I'm pretty sure the Hutts were actually outside the empire. Like, that's why they had to negotiate access to their hyperspace lanes for the war in the Clone Wars film.

>ywn see a story about the undersupplied imperial peacekeeper fleets attempting to patrol the outer rim with hand-me-down clone wars tech
>ywn see the stormtroopers put down the last remnants of separatist resistance like gizor delso in battlefront 2
>ywn see the separatists and the remaining droid army form the initial stages of the rebel alliance
>ywn see the struggles of grand moffs and admirals of the imperial remnant playing off against each other to try and inherit the emperor's throne
>ywn see the kamino rebellion and their attempt to clone clone troopers to fight the empire's clone troopers
i miss legends

>Jedi were ok with war crimes

I guess Sheev was right all along

>>ywn see the separatists and the remaining droid army form the initial stages of the rebel alliance

They almost did this in Rebels

Why didn’t he just hyperspace it with a smaller ship instead of wasting a star destroyer

And this kids is how Rian Johnson ruined the established lore on all previous Star Wars.

Tatooine in TPM is controlled by the Hutts, which is why credits were pretty valueless and slavery is commonplace. The Empire certainly seems to crack down on human slavery, but enslaves alien races quite happily.

The Senate being fucking useless though is a genuine point of contention.

The Clone Wars does a better job of showing this, but by the end of the Clone Wars people across the galaxy are heartily sick of the war and just want order and peace restored. The Empire does exactly that, and the increasing militarisation of society also means that people are fine with the military suddenly being everywhere, since they've been doing that anyway. Plus the Jedi, as the generals of the military and its primary leaders, are seen as the ones prolonging the conflict.

And then there's Windu literally over-riding the Senate and marching into the Chancellor's office to demand he step down, on quite literally no pretext (a guy he doesn't trust has told him Sheev's a Sith Lord, but try that one flying in the courts) since the Senate is totally fine with Sheev staying on past his term limit.

There were heroes in both sides

It was a more civilized age. For over three decades the Star Wars fans (Dave Filoni) were the guardians of coherency and logic in the old canon, before the dark times, before the Soypire.

A young producer Kathleen Kennedy who was a pupil of Goerge Lucas before she became CEO, helped the Soypire hunt down and destroy the Star Wars fans. She betrayed and murdered the franchise. Now the Star Wars fans are all but extinct. Kennedy was seduced by the dark side of liberalism.

Kill me

wtf Padme just killed that guy!!???

dooku was using the force to turn her blaster and pull the trigger on the dude

No, Dooku used the force (get it) to force her to shoot that guy.

sure m8 wasn't her is Dooku using magic, gosh you republic shitters are the worst

t.

How long did it take you to convince captcha you weren't a robot?

two seconds

H-he's fast!

I know you're memeing, but the star destroyer was already pretty much destroyed and had no chance standing in another battle.

MuJedieen, motherfucker.

Hmmm....monkey droid.

Man, this movie is still shit for other reasons but they really nailed the visual aesthetic/color palette in creating something that was suitably unique but still felt fitting and authentic for star wars.
That's probably my only compliment for it.

>wyn see this again

Why, why, why?

>Andor's weapon is literally just an AR pistol.

he taught her the right way, but she adapts her own style

Ah yes the lightsaber, a weapon from a more civilized age, where Jedi were on the same team as the guys using flamethrowers to burn your insectoid enemies to ashes.
