Hi /trek/ I have a couple of grievances:
1. None of you told me /STD/ was back on.
2. None of you told me about Super Sexy Captain Tilly.
My friend wants me to watch Star Trek 2009 this weekend. I know main timeline Spock's in it, and I also know he shows up in the later shows too. I'm only on Season 2 of TNG, should I watch/skip to episodes with Spock in order to understand the movie better or does it not matter?
NOTE
Star Trek 2009 has nothing at all to do with TNG. You can go in blind and still enjoy it.
There better be not any Cardies in this thread
*dabs on the Klingons*
STDfags please go back to your containment thread
*oinks loudly*
This
*calls you a pinkskin*
So I'll understand Spock's story without watching his episodes in TNG and VOY?
People might hate how Klingons look in this, but I think the Tellarites and Andorians look pretty good.
>Official Cake Inspector!
Yes. Are you trolling? ST 2009 takes place before all of that stuff.
I know it's a reboot universe of TOS, but doesn't Leonard Nimoy Spock show up, ie the TV version?
Yes and it doesn't matter if you've seen any of the other stuff or not. Are you seriously this dense? You're asking the same question over and over again.
Ok thanks.
>Are you seriously this dense?
No need to be an asshole, was just curious that I wasn't missing anything.
Cops do love their donuts
You missed out on your question being answered the first three times you asked it, but sure. I'm the asshole. Yeah. That makes sense.
>Kes is back onboard Voyager, and more powerful than ever. AND SHE'S PISSED
and skipped
>it's a Riker eats episode
Dude, that's EVERY episode
...
Only because they look pretty much the same since the last time we saw them
Why does the back of his mouth look like another mouth?
I absolutely believe that he worked food into most of his scenes as part of a deal to stay on the show.
Did he actually put food in his mouth in any scenes besides the Klingon food one and pic related?
>Did Riker ever eat on TNG?
Are you actually a retard?
Can you name more scenes besides the ones listed?
Oh I forgot about this one
>Go to Googe
>type in "Riker eating"
Holy shit, I was actually enjoying Enterprise but it hit a brick wall with the Risa episode. How is it this bad? They even bothered to build up to this shit for multiple episodes. Everyone's fucking, it's like I'm watching Discovery.
Conspiracy
>Jonathan Frakes stated that during the dinner scene, grub worms did "cross" his lips
Nearing the end of DS9 now. I'm glad they stopped doing episodes of the holodock trying to take over the computers. Please tell TNG is the only series to go nuts with that.
Voyager does it.
Is it as often as it is in TNG?
More often, there is even a full arc about it.
It's eventually revealed that all of Voyager is a holodeck simulation
Discovery ends with it all being a holo simulation
God fucking damn it.
Too be fair, the arc was almost interesting. Almost.
You mean Enterprise?
Does the Orville get better? After 2 episodes I am really mehhhhh on it.
Yeah almost all the images are him eating Klingon food in that one scene. There's also this but I don't think they actually show him putting food in his mouth
That's not a mouth it's a black hole
...
Gonna take a break for a few days. Miss you guys.
Voyager's holodeck malfunctions were all from specific external influences.
>enjoying JJ Trek
The true pleb filter
Except that time the irish village became self aware
Wait until Liam Neeson appears. That's when it gets more TNGish.
Yeah but there was no danger, they just felt bad about killing those """people"""
Does it actually? Like, half the time I just want to punch the captain in the face. Some of the crew is okay so far, racist robot in particular.
>You can go in blind and still enjoy it.
probably the preferable way to "watch" it to be honest
McFlarlene humor goes out the window for the most part after that.
Does it really? Don't lie to me user please, I've had a bad day.
Look up an episode guide and skip to the episode where the robot is lost on a planet with the kids, that's a good bench mark.
First page shows at least 5 episodes with him eating food, user..
>So, I've done those scans and discovered both your brain and body have been severely modified by Klingons
>This means there is a high chance you are some sort of spy
>Knowing you are likely a spy, I deceided to confront you with this information, alone, in a part of the ship that doesn't have anyone else regularly visit for some reason
>Didn't bother to report my findings to the Captain, First Officer or any other relevant party beforehand by the way
yeah the show is garbage. go back to your containment
All right thanks user.
Starfleet Medical has a rich tradition of dumdums

All relevant results on the first page are from a single episode, A Matter of Honor
So we've got
>A Matter of Honor
>Conspiracy
>Frame of Mind
>The Vengeance Factor
Any others?

Why is Profit and Lace so hated?

>All relevant results on the first page are from a single episode
Except that isn't true.
>not examining every single screen grab on Trekcore for every instance of Riker eating
newfag

Transfobia
call me ronnie mervis cause I got diamonds
Because it isn't Star Trek
It is. Deal with, motherfucker.
Just because they slap on the title Star Trek doesn't make it so. It's a completely different show
Hey man, the other guy is actually kind of wrong. TNG gives some context on older Spock's interest in Romulus, which is directly related to his actions in 2009. So it's not necessary, but watching Spock in Reunification is certainly directly related to the events of 2009.
Are your results somehow different from mine? Googling, "Riker eating" I get
>A Matter of Honor on Memory Alpha
>Irrelevant Reddit thread
>article on gagh referencing A Matter of Honor
>Irrelevant clickbait article
>a review of A Matter of Honor
>Irrelevant clickbait article
>implying I haven't
Slightly updated but not crazy different.
Google Images, user.
>Good Idea: Watching the prologue of DS9's first episode between Best of Both Worlds Part 1 and 2
>Bad Idea: Watching These Are The Voyages halfway through The Pegasus
The real question is how he never got scanned at any point since being rescued from his imprisonment and torture. you'd think a quick health check up would've been required to become chief of security out of no where
The last number of your post determines the amount of lights you see. Those who get the right amount get released back to the Federation under the accords of the Treaty of Algeron. Dubs gets the remote control.
Even so, it's not at least 5 episodes. There are pictures from the 4 episodes already listed and nothing else (there is also the screenshot from Sins of the Father in which Riker isn't actually shown eating, screenshot of Geordi and Worf eating Riker's cooking, etc.).
Got a light, mate?
Don't let it end like this.
He was, it just wasn't thorough enough to pick up on this. The doctor told him that because he raised the same point.
what episode is this from
>best idea watching trials and tibbleations in the middle of trouble with tribbles
I'm going to give you some homework, but won't leave you completely in the lurch.
>Worf's in gold, so it's not Season 1
>No collars, so it's not Seasons 3-7
Time Squared

Sorry for spoonfeeding user. I didn't see the post before mine until after I replied.
Tilly is pretty damn hot. I can't find any revealing photos of her unfortunately.
there are lights
fuck i really need to watch babylon 5 and farscape
More like Captain Titties
It's nice that both STD and The Orville are bringing face warts back into the limelight
It’s such a cheap and painless thing to fix at any dermatologist. It bothers me that her and Palicki don’t get it corrected.
Just watched the episode, forgot how much I liked it. Pulaski bringing beer to breakfast, gangsta
