So this show has to end soon, right?

It's ending around the time The Simpson, South Park, and Sesame Street are

Did Mickey Mouse end?

...

Is Spongebob even relevant outside of the internet? I rarely hear my friends talking about it anymore.

Not gonna happen, he's like the mascot of Nickelodeon. And we know mascots never die.

>one eternity later...

>I rarely hear my friends talking about it anymore.

Why would your friends talk about kids shows?

Are you talking about with regards to Hillenburg? I feel like they'll still keep doing it after he dies since they did it for so long without him anyway.

What was so appealing about a talking sponge with pants, anyway?

The humor was fresh when it started

I work in a high school, I'll occasionally hear some kids referencing it. Mostly things like "are you feeling it now Mr. Krabs?" and 24

It's kinda crazy how deep old Spongebob sticks with you. I can hear
>"Art thou feeling it now Mr. Krabs?"
perfectly in my head despite it being years since I've seen that episode.

For the first 3 seasons it was filled with funny well timed gags that both kids and adults could like

It's already ended, the Movie is the Canon ending.

This is just Nick puppeting around it's corpse to keep milking it for money.

It's like watching a man whore out a corpse to necrophiliacs and then wash it off and sell it as a sex doll to the poor bastards who've never seen one.

Imagine if they all end in 2019!

>it's been 18 years
Yep, just like the Simpsons ended in 1998.

>GET YOUR FEET OUT OF MY EYE SOCKETS
>I'm trying, but my cleats are stuck in your corneas!
every fucking time

*2008
I should go back to school.

I wonder if the voice actors are tired of it.

The Simpsons ended in 2003. episode 300 is the point of no return.

Another user said it best. It's the looney toons of our time. It's never going anywhere

Probably, but not as much as The Simpsons'
But bare in mind they both get absolutely massive paychecks

No, the Simpsons ended in 1998 with the episode "Bart the Mother", the last one to feature Phil Hartman before he was shot by his crazed bitch wife

has it ever been hugely relevant outside of the internet? it's not like nickelodeon cartoons are a thing most people care too deeply about

Real question is, how's season 9 and 10? I don't expect them to reach the quality of the first three seasons though.

They're both a lot better than Seasons 5-8 are overall

Season 9 has some stinkers but it has some pretty great ones.

I've been working on a list of recommended post-movie episodes to watch
