Holy fuck this movie made me so stressed

holy fuck this movie made me so stressed
what are some movies where the situation gets more and more fucked as time goes on?

green room

home alone

I like those movies, too.

No Country for Old Men
Oldboy
Drive

Victoria

>No Country
more like what are movies where it gets more and more boring as time goes on

What movie, OP?

Anything by Michael Mann fits your description but especially Collateral.

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead
Wages of Fear

'71

Eyes Wide Shut

watch Bomb the System. it's very similar in tone to good times, to the extent i wouldn't be surprised if it was a direct influence. it's about a grafitti writer in nyc running from the police. refn's Pusher trilogy is also very good, it's about drug dealers & addicts & gangsters in denmark.

Good Time, fucking retard learn how to image search.

Collateral is the only Mann movie that fits OP description.

Can't, I have a dinosaur phone.

After Hours is kind of like that, but it's also dark humor rather than outright horror or anything. Most Lynch films I've seen have some level of a drug trip that goes to hell about 2/3rd through.

The Game

>The Wages of Fear
>Fail-Safe
If Good Time made you stressed out you'll die when watching these two films then

Hyena 2014.

Why be a prick? You feel like a big man now? Pathetic.

Where the fuck do you think you are faggot

Not your personal insult playground, you immature cretin.

The Foreigner
Collateral

...

Do you want this place to turn into a safespace for idiots?

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead
Phillip Seymoor Hoffman kino

when people say stupid shit you're allowed to be mean towards them
it also keeps them from saying stupid shit again

it really is not that hard to recognize robert pattinson and then search what movies he's been in

tbf it is a bit hard to recognize him looking like that

Seconded, put off watching this for way too long and regretted it.

...

it all turns out ok in the end though

Watching this now and what the fuck

What website did you come here from you stupid nigger also great job being a hypocrite and dismissing throwing around insults whilst also using perjoratives faggotron

This.

Also,Blue Ruin

Fucking back to Sup Forums

>It's le 4chanz so I'm gonna be a piece of shit to everyone XDDDD

Fucking newfags, man. Lurk moar, imbecile.

Das Experiment

Dunkirk desu

Real life

>t.16 year old

It was originally gonna be spongebob

Lone Survivor

Kill List

well Mother actually fits your description

the Butterfly Effect.

back to r*ddit retard

Dunkirk gave me the same feeling as being on a long flight
>fuck this is boring
>man I'm uncomfortable
>I wanna sleep but I can't
Would not recommend. It communicates the suffering and lack of control a single person has in a war, but not in an enjoyable or entertaining way.
>hurr it's meant to be uncomfortable
Nigger I could get that by getting drunk with my family, but I ain't doing that. Why do so many people on Sup Forums actually like it?

The Coen brothers' filmography.

>It communicates the suffering and lack of control a single person has in a war, but not in an enjoyable or entertaining way.
Please reread what you just said. Why would anyone portray "suffering and lack of control" as something enjoyable?

The whole movie is just
>man this beach sucks
>man this beach reeeaaally sucks
>man I sure am sick of this beach
Enjoyable is the wrong word. Compelling would be a better choice

What about the boat narrative? What about the air narrative?
I found it more than compelling, it was the first time where I actually felt vulnerable in a theater, those Stuka beach bombing sequences, the disorienting drowning sequences, the dogfight sequences. A single bullet here has far more impact and imposes far more threat to every character on and off screen than thousands of bullets flying left and right in any usual Hollywood flick, it was a tension filled ride right from start to the end.
Also first time where Nolan told the story visually instead of having characters spew lines constantly about what's happening into the camera.

Honestly it's actually posts like yours that make me wanna check it out.

Out Of Time
Certified Denzel kino where he plays a cop who gets framed for stealing a large amount of money and must cover his tracks and find out who stole it. Very stressful movie lol

I really did try to like this but I dunno, I wasn't feeling it for some reason. I want to try to watch it again

I had the same issue with pic related, after everyone was giving it accolades

t.pleb

Jeremy Saulnier really has a knack for intense and violent movies. I hope that Hold the Dark will be just as good as these two if not better

Victoria starts really, really slow. For the better half of the movie nothing really happens, just a lot of mundane talk in broken English. But then it starts to build up. You won't expect the ending if you go unspoiled.

Phone Booth

fucking loved this movie.

Irreversiblé is kinda the opposite but technically it isn't.

Found the underage

didn't realize it was him until I rev searched the pic, does it turn out that he can actually act?

I can attest

Buried.
Bonus points if you're even slightly claustrophobic.

Yeah

>it also keeps them from saying stupid shit again
It's actually the opposite if you've been paying attention to society since...well forever I guess

>The Rover
>Cosmopolis
>Good Time
>in the next Claire Denis film
Yeah he can

Tired of mumblecore shit like this. Plus, one take movies are neat, but when you keep pushing it like you did it just to get the movie more hyped it gets annoying. The whole reason it got buzz was because it's 2 hours of a single take.

The only thing this movie felt like it missed out on was the MC's obvious drug issue. They never really go into detail about it or even show him doing anything.

>that ending

green room
blue ruin
pusher
pusher 3 i'm the angel of death
drive
blue velvet
prisoners

I, Tonya

Just watching my waifu’s life get pulled in every direction by idiots her whole life was so cringeworthy (in a good way), really hit home

Saying cretin like your some sort of smart as nigger. You gone the wrong site faggot

Animal kingdom.

I hope you mean the australian version

Of course.

Kanji. That show makes me feel awful

the safdies probably browse Sup Forums, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if one of them started this thread

Running Scared I think

That movie where four people are stuck in an elevator.

After Hours was a massive influence on this movie - even its poster is a direct nod to the film

Dunkirk was garbage. Nolan gets progressively worse with every next movie he makes. Well, alright, Interstellar was something of an exception, it was definitely better than TDKR.

>Pusher
Great choice. 3 is my favorite. Conveys the feeling of accelerating stress and headache like nothing else.

and true detective season 3

sympathy for Mr Vengeance is also good at this

>kanji

>Kanji

I can't believe I never thought of that, After Hours is one of my favorite movies. There's definitely a strong parallel between the two, Good Time is sort of like a spiritual sequel taking place in a slum rather than the posh and artistic setting of SoHo in After Hours.

It really does. Ramps up the intensity to pure absurdist levels and it’s honestly a wonder that it even got made.

I don't know about that, I'm not seeing too many direct parallels. GT has none of the nightmarish feel or bizarre plot of After Hours. I've only seen that once but I don't really get the connection you guys are making. Some influence or references aside, they seem like completely different movies.

I’ve never watched After Hours, but I’ve heard about it. Apparently a short script I wrote back when I was in high school (it was kinda garbage but fun) was somehow similar.

Would it be a good double feature?

Invasion thrillers are a good example generally.

Panic Room
Se7en
Training Day
Scarface

>Kanji

The "bizarre and nightmarish" plot in After Hours only made sense because of the setting (SoHo), and would've felt out of place in Good Time. Good Time is in it's own right nightmarish and bizarre, but in a more gritty and ghetto way.

>no one has said The Purge yet

Idc what anyone says, that's a great movie

Locke

>Good Time is in it's own right nightmarish and bizarre
But not really. It's just intense. Nothing outright bizarre happens, it's just a series of fuckups of increasing intensity that culminates at the apartment building.

an excellent double feature

are you retarded? If you don't feel like GT has a nightmarish feel or bizarre plot then you fail at the human condition. Both films take place predominately in one night, both films are a result of both characters bad decision making along with the bizarre curve balls the universe throws at them, both films incorporate strange, neurotic characters. Both films endings are nihilistic as fuck. Good Time is more of a crime thriller and drama but both films share the same blood.

is this the one where the jew directors wanted pattinson to suck a dog dick?
