Every time you hear about shit going down in Riverdale she's always the catalyst

When did Jughead Jones become a pretty boy?

...

...

...

Wow, this comic's pretty anime-looking now, huh?

...

He was always the patrician choice

THAT'S RIGHT KIDS, JUGHEAD GOT CANCELLED. THE FUCKING STATE OF ARCHIE COMICS

...

...

jughead died and went to hell

Wait, what the fuck?

Sonic is dead. Mega Man is dead. Jughead now dead. Does Flynn have the kiss of death?

That said, for fuck's sake Archie. Flynn wrote for you for ten goddamn years. Couldn't you throw him a bone with a Mighty Crusaders credit?

OTP

I can really tell Ian's writing here.
That's not a compliment.

The book doesn't appear on their July, August or September solicits. And since Josie and the Pussycats got canned, and Betty and Veronica might as well be on permanent hiatus, that means the only book from their relaunch is the main Archie ongoing. Everything else got cut

>no issues of Jughead solicited past #16
>flagship Archie title already resorting to cheap shock tactics

Holy fucking hell. Is Archie Comics going to fold soon?

Sonic was out of his hands.
Mega Man was absolutely his (and his editor's) fault, combined with the apathy for the title from the bosses.
He was put on Jughead as a courtesy two months' paychecks so he could job hunt, he has no role in its death.

They actually seem to have nothing left at this point other than a relatively successful show on the CW.

Apparently it's making a killing internationally, I wonder if that'll float them enough for a while

If push comes to shove, the people in charge will cut ties with all freelancers and just publish more reprint digests put of their garage.

The company is so small and their product is so evergreen that they can't actually die.

>Betty and Veronica might as well be on permanent
is canned too

That's been confirmed? I remember reading somewhere that Waid was gonna take over it since they had signed him on a creative contract or some shit

Mega Man was holding steady Sonic Universe numbers, which is impressive given how Capcom was bungling their PR at the time. Then Archie pulled the plug on it and the Sonic books to fund their Archie relaunch after the kickstarter fiasco.

Mega Man was a good read, even if Flynn and Kaminski were fighting over the direction of the book.

>Mega Man was holding steady Sonic Universe numbers
It was about 30k below, actually, based on both direct and retail sales. Ian made it pretty clear: the book did worse than Sonic, but was on the good side of the cancellation threshold.

>Archie pulled the plug on it and the Sonic books to fund their Archie relaunch after the kickstarter fiasco.
This is almost correct; Archie only pulled Mega Man and Sonic Boom.

>Mega Man was a good read
Can't agree with that. There were a few good issues, but the game adaptations were done poorly and the pacing and choreography were pretty awful. I feel like it would have sold better under a different writer.

Reg looks like Brock.

>game adaptations were done poorly and the pacing and choreography were pretty awful
The game adaptations were hit-or-miss, I'll give you that. MM1 and the Ra Moon arc were really damn solid. MM2 was carried by the art more than the story, and MM3 was good for the first half, then ruined by the art in the second.

I do have to wonder how things would've paced out if Flynn didn't lose a third of the book to forced events.
>Capcom demanded anniversary issue
>Both Sonic crossovers
>Editor demanded non-crossover with X, four-part arcs

Not read anything archie in the while; What's up with "Afterlife with Archie" and the sabrina horror book? They both seem on indefinite hiatus / quietly cancelled.

Ian certainly seems unlucky with all that's happened.

tv show synergy.

I'm pretty sure that the guy in charge of them was also in charge of the show, so they got delayed for a while.

Does Waid read reverse-rape hentai now?

I just want that Sabrina reprint to finally come out
fuck everything

goodbye

Sabrina #7 is next week and #8 is out in december.

Better than telling Waid's writing

>Everybody hates Jugs

>Reggie puts his arm over Jughead
>He blushes
Cute

Which one?

Bump

the black & white version? that's the only new reprint
Or maybe he's too stupid and meant the chilling adventures

But this has already come out. It's even been ripped. I was thinking of storytiming it but dreaded having to go through three threads for it
