Wednesday Storytime

Going to post comics that threw me through a loop. Either in terms of characterization, style, or story. These are comics that wow'd me.

Wait, wasn't zazz canonically killed in year one?

First intro to Plastic Man. Shattered all expecations.

I took a peak through my Year One issues and didn't find anything. Could still be wrong though.

Plastic is really too pure for this Earth.

God bless you, Taylor.

This is my favorite page.

It's in Injustice 2, in a flashback he gets killed by Robin in year 1.

Of course you have an extra notebook. Of course you do.

I know the series is fairly knew but Tomasi's Superman run is going to be one of the greats. the art is jaw dropping and Tomasi's handle on the entire Super family is something to be believed. It is seriously one of the best comics I've read and that isn't an hyperbole.

It was in Year 4/5, it was retcon'd to Year 1 in Injustice 2 for whatever reason

This comic really has some nice covers
Sook, Jimenez, Gleason, Rocafort...

...

It has been a long while since a comic made me smile like this one did.

I actually owned this comic in paperback. Pretty sure it's somewhere in my parent's hosue but I remember being a kid and reading this and being awesttruck at the mature material within as well as the astounding art.
