The final two episodes of Ule Gapa are being burned off in thirty minutes, after being abruptly cancelled by CN without even notifying the production crew a year ago.
It is survived by the rest of CN's shit line-up, which is separated into two piles: "on hiatus" or "also being cancelled".
It was literally just a cartoon, it didn't pretend to be deep or meaningful or anything but a fun cartoon.
Easton Wright
I think at first it was because some anons just didn't like the art style, which is a shame considering how much the art and backgrounds and such have improved over the course of the show.
Zachary Lee
I think it's because people are just sick of lol randumb shit. People want something that's genuinely funny without needing to turn your brain off to enjoy.
Benjamin Hall
Unfunny and boring.
Ian Flores
Won't be miss.
Liam Scott
They made a pony episode
Josiah Green
That was nu PPG
Anthony Wood
Goodnight, sweetest prince on TV
Charles Anderson
hot dog person and beary nice was the worst skit i saw, after that, dropped it like an acme anvil.
Adrian Morales
And nothing of value was lost
Asher Price
Last episodes of the series. Last time will ever be able to discuss this show as its airing, let's do this.
Exquisite Grandpa >Uncle Grandpa has bizarre night terrors
Uncle Grandpa: The High School Years >Uncle Grandpa and the others remember being in high school together.
Jace Turner
>TV Guide says Clarence is on >It's Teen Titans Go >Countdown for a Teen Titans Go special that is on air in an hour
Sebastian Gray
>literal donald drumpf episode
why
Levi Anderson
Worrying intensifies
Noah Mitchell
It's okay it's on next.
Justin Torres
>after being abruptly cancelled by CN without even notifying the production crew a year ago. That's not qutie what happened what happened is that some higher up at CN (who got in trouble for doing so) told the crew that season 3 was gonna be their last. When the season 4 and 5 announcements for UG and SU happened, the crew got their hopes up, but as it turned out that the 2nd half of season 2s of both shows were being advertised as season 3 while the season 3s were being advertised as seasons 4 and 5
Juan Brooks
>teen titans go Remind me again. Who are the retards who enjoy this shit?
Jace Jackson
>doesnt even advertise its the fucking finale of uncle grandpa, just that it's "new" uncle grandpa
Benjamin Ortiz
It's time to say goodbye.
Nicholas Thomas
>literally everything is about muh trump
Ayden Jones
Even CN knows UG is shit.
Jason Turner
So SU and Sonic Boom are also shit since they handle them poorly
James Nguyen
is this an actual finale? or is it just another show where they cancelled it out of nowhere and the final episode was a random one? Like billy and mandy
Leo Flores
>Sonic Boom Was the new Transformers.
Blake Bailey
Exquisite Grandpa is the actual finale, while High School Years is a random episode that they're premiering afterwards for god knows why
>nuPPG shoved under the rug, if not CANNED, it will be soon
>any show that isn't directly by CN studios shoved to Boomerang or saturdays at 6 AM with no promotion
JUST
Charles Turner
i don't care for the show but it makes me fucking angry that this finale is airing as a "break" during a day long TTG marathon and isn't even being advertised as a finale
Kayden James
Personally I never thought it was particularly funny or interesting
Luke Perry
regular show, gumball and adventure time had to go. they stayed way too long. clarence and UG should stay a bit more.
Christian Wright
>What the UG crew are doing now >Nick Edwards boarding on Clarence. Seems like he moved onto Apple and Onion after that >Chris Allison boarding on JG Quintel's Close Enough >Andy Gonsalves linkedin mentions he was working on developing a show for disney >David Gemmill boarding on Country Club (the upcoming disney show from the Houghton brothers) >Andres Salaff working on some unknown CN studios show, wouldn't be surprised if it was Close Enough >Myke Chilian Rick and Morty (he and justin go way back, and he was involved in the pilot) >Ryan Kramer unknown, but most likely either still on the Ben 10 reboot or with Chris on Close Enough
Wyatt Cox
Don't worry, Cloudy and Mightyswords still exist with TTGO.
Isaac Gray
That's fucked up
Camden Lopez
Cloudy burned off its episodes already, it's Canadian import garbo.
Magiswords is already beginning to be swept under the rug like nuPPG.
Ian Baker
Children.
Although the episodes themselves are basically Teen Titans crackfics (the Oregon Trail episode, especially, or that one episode which was an Abridged Series version of the original show). Always struck me as weird, but I guess my age cohort do have 6 year old kids by now.
Isaiah Phillips
Magiswords is coming back this weekend actually
Isaac Wood
What the fuck is wrong with this goddamn network
>Magiswords is already beginning to be swept under the rug like nuPPG. Pretty sure Magiswords was being swept under the rug for a few months now
Connor Fisher
glad to see them working on other things
Austin Perez
I don't even like it but did it get screwed over.
>Got the crew false hope by ordering more seasons but they split on up >Not even primetime slot just at 4:30 >Not advertised >Channels forcing on a random TTG episode
Aiden Williams
That was weird. Guess that's the point.
Bentley Rivera
the only show that looks good in the future for CN is ok KO, and those first 6 episodes where, ironically, just ok
Brayden Murphy
Least you got Lego Cartoons.
Jose Lewis
as for the people who left during the final season prior to the finale >Zeus Cervas boarding on billy dilley >Ryan Jouas boarding on the new ducktales >Kenny Pittenger boarding on billy dilley >Jason Reicher boarding on the new ducktales >Casey Alexander (who did come back to co-board Uncle Greedpa and Exquisite Grandpa) boarding on Billy Dilley
Joseph Lopez
It's funny, they're promoting the shitty MagiMobile app and inserting it in otjer shows while treating Magiswords like it doesn't exist. Hell, the new episodes are even being aired this Saturday at fucking 4 PM.
Brayden Rodriguez
thats because the only shows that are actually popular are steven universe and teen titans go. all the other shows aren't as popular. Granted,it's also because CN doesn't give them a chance, but i ain't dying to see new episodes of magi words,or gumball,or adventure time or any of those shows.
Evan Evans
Besides OK KO what other new shows are there supposed to be?
Christian Bennett
craig of the creek some ugly animal show from AT people apple and onion thats it
William Kelly
Summer Camp Island Craig of the Creek Apple & Onion
Blake Sanders
Mega Man and Unikitty.
Dylan Sullivan
OK. are any of them good?
Jonathan Roberts
for CN Studios we have: Summer Camp Island (created by Julia Pott, who became a writer on adventure time with Elements, and has a bunch of adventure time people on it) Craig of the Creek (created by SU story editors Matt Burnett and Ben Levin, known crew members are mainly from Clarence) and Apple & Onion (created by Gumball boarder George Gendi, known other crew members are RS boarder Benton Connor as director, and UG boarder Nick Edwards as a boarder)
WB animation's giving us: Unikitty DC Superhero Girls
Tyler Nelson
uncle grandpa outstayed his welcome
Chase Davis
HOLY SHIT LIBRARIAN AUNT GRANDMA MY DICK
Adam Butler
Will CN shit on DC Superhero Girls next, or be the next TTGO because of DC?
James Walker
only Apple and Onion's pilot has been released and it's okay we have a few clips of Summer Camp Island's pilot (which was aired at film festivals), but all we have with Craig of the Creek's pilot is pic related
Hudson Sanchez
Reminds me of those online c section games for girls.
Isaac Butler
Villainous and OK KO somehow getting better legitimately and not just being "meh" like it is now is the only way to save this network
>Hell, the new episodes are even being aired this Saturday at fucking 4 PM. Let me guess, they're not advertising this at all are they?
>Summer Camp Island Looks like it's made for extremely young children. >Craig of the Creek No idea, the one screenshot I've seen makes it look like Clarence though. >Apple and Onion A watered down Regular Show with worse animation >Unikitty Looks like a soulless licenced show but I could be wrong. >Mega Man Absolutely no idea.
Benjamin Reed
You know just as well as I do that Mega Man is getting Sonic Boom'ed. That shouldn't even be a consideration for a new cartoon
Thomas Gonzalez
god i wish villainous gets greenlit
Colton Miller
rip in pepperoni uncle grandpa
Ayden Martin
Im getting tired of colored protags made by wite people t. black
nope but they are advertising that all of the Cartoon Network shows will have exclusive Magiswords in the app game that kids can collect as they watch throughout July. youtube.com/watch?v=EzqMDJKkVg4
Adam Cooper
Least you can see it in the weekend mornings.
Matthew Ross
please YES
Aiden Foster
>Pete Browngardt's Chowder episodes The Sleep Eater The Heavy Sleeper (with Greenblatt; not credited under story by) The Moldy Touch (with Cindy Morrow and Greenbltatt; not credited under story by) The Thousand Pound Cake Shnitzel Quits (with camp lazlo boarder Mark Segurson) The Broken Part The Garage Sale Chowder's Babysitter Shopping Spree The Deadly Maze Big Food (with creative director William Reiss) The Blackout (a rare episode where greenblatt's not credited as a story writer) The Belgian Waffle Slobber-Barker
he's also credited as a story writer on Certifrycation Class and My Big Fat Stinky Wedding
Logan Moore
The first one where they get eaten by the fat fuck is the true finale
Christian King
Bland.
Oliver Harris
Look, fujo appeal aside, Villainous is the only show recently that made me think "Oh this could fit in really well with the CN of old".
Yes it feels like an updated Evil Con Carne that fused with Gorillaz, but that's why I like it! I legitimately think it's really funny and has potential
Jacob Torres
Well i have to give the show this. Of all the ways it could have ended, a breakfast club parody was an original one.
you can tell The High School Years wasn't the finale because it had both Casey Alexander and Ryan Kramer as directors instead of just Kramer
Joshua Cruz
He seems a retard on twitter but nice then
Jace Peterson
>Harley Quinn is a super hero Fuck off
Andrew Reyes
On the upside, at the very least Mighty Magiswords and OK KO have one thing in common with Uncle Grandpa: they're post-post-modern cartoons.
Unlike UG, they have as much visual influence from anime as from western cartoons, but they don't seem to secretly have DEEPEST LORE like Adventure Time, Steven Universe or even Regular Show by the end... they just want to explore their weird, cartoony settings without justifying them.
Michael Young
>He seems a retard on twitter just like Matt Burnett then
Wyatt Price
then the previous weird one was the finale?
Julian Lewis
technically OK KO does gonna have some lore (as hinted in the 4th episode), but Ian mentioned its overarching plot will itself be a "goofy parody" rather than something serious
Christopher Allen
yep, 10 different boarders doing it like an exquisite corpse
Angel Young
>but they don't seem to secretly have DEEPEST LORE Yeah but those shows are actually popular
Luke Nelson
Good night.
Blake Powell
The ending basically condenses that Unky G and crew were eaten by the kid in the original pilot and died, I think that's meta as fuck
Connor Mitchell
i wonder what new show i should record next
Dylan Fisher
There's literally no version of her left that's a villain at this point.
Carter Lee
Blame Injustice. Your clown waifu is ruin
Austin Sanders
Upload season 4 to Kimcartoon please for the love of god, someone already uploaded season 5
Xavier Cruz
Assuming that the order the names of the boarders on the opening titles is the order they boarded it in, the the scenes from each boarder on Exquisite Grandpa is: >Pete Browngardt the beginning and ending >Audie Harrison stuff before the stinky socks song >Chris Allison Stinky Socks song (he's credited for composing it in the credits) >Andy Gonsalves Tortoise and Hare Race >Myke Chilian uncle grandpa genie >David Gemmill UG in the woods >Andres Salaff Gus and UG saving pizza steve (it's clearly his artstyle and he's credited in the credits for composing the song) >Ryan Kramer UG in the desert >Nick Edwards throwing hot dog person to the birds and it turning out to be a simulation (pretty obviously his artstyle) >Casey Alexander Uncle Grandpa Tea
Asher Perez
"Exquisite Grandpa" was kinda random and all over the place, probably due to 10 writers on this episode. "The High School Years" was more focused and a good episode in explaining how the RV crew came to be.
Hunter Gutierrez
>sound effect plays when UG slowly morphs from on model to the way Nick Edwards draws him it's the little things
Anthony Ortiz
Injustice is the only thing that did hero Harley right desu
Charles Wright
The true end of an era would be the end of Cuckventure Time, whenever that garbage rolls around.
Landon Green
The era will be over for me when SU finally gets axed. Kind of sad, nothing coming out looks all that great
