Knock knock

knock knock

who's there?

my husband

Ruins every episode of QI

literally only ever good in the horrid henry movie

>that one QI episode where the forfeit was "my husband" and she got it

How is post-Fry QI? I stopped catching once that nonce took off

>steals money and makes a perfect imitation of a Great Grey Owl

every fucking year on jools hootenanny with a my husband joke

Sandy does a fantastic job desu, but I think she isn't as crude as stephen fry.

American here, it's my understanding that he didn't even break the law, and wasn't the queen even caught doing a similar tax dodge? Why does he get so much shit for it?

>Fry presenting

>Panelists are Alan, David Mitchell, Bill Bailey, and Sandy

this is the best lineup possible and you know it.

replace Sandy with Rich Hall

>it's an Alan and Bill on the same side episode

Or Sean Lock

She's great, but I think she won't top Fry in the "little moments"
( ie : the "would that it were" et al that always crack me up)

Anglos are all communists that think 1984 is an instruction manual

>Why does he get so much shit for it?
It was a mildy scummy move and he's a celebrity.

Umm, no sweetie. We need at least 1 woman on every panel show. Women are funny. Get over it.

How is it scummy to take advantage of the law to keep more of your own money that you earned?

I literally don't understand.

Well, ok.

If you can't understand why *some* people may be upset at a celebrity paying 1% tax I don't know what to say.

I think you meant et cetera, because et alia does not fit there at all, friend.

>female comedian episode

>Earned

Yeah okay. You realize there's a point where you get so rich you aren't earning it anymore.

That and in society people pay taxes. Paying less when you have more while watching poorer people pay more when they have less is a dickhole move. I mean by all means do what you want but don't act indignant when people call you shit for shitty behaviour.

Actually it does: et al. (et alia) means "and others". He just assumed you'd be smart enough to know what it actually means instead of how it's normally used.

I bet that happened to you at school a lot too, you'd confidently speak out trying to show off and the teacher would have to shoot you down to prevent you making the other children stupid.

Tax dodging isn't a good thing to do even if it is legal. The difference is in Britain they shame celebrities who dodge their taxes instead of electing them President.

>No Dara O Briain

>that episode of would i lie to you where theres her and a hot girl and she keeps making snide remarks

its like a beta male being rude to a handsome alpha except for some reason people are less willing to call it out because

>all women are wonderful XD

haHAA

Get rid of sandy and add a funny smart guy. Gyles Brandreth is my favourite in that category.

Nah mate, alan, sean lock, rich hall and that one guy who roasted the airhead brunette

It's not scummy.
But by skimping out on your taxes you are forfeiting the right to complain about police or police response times, firefighters, road repair, any long lines or shitty service you ever have with the government (including DMV and Postal Service), any public education, lack of small business loans and tax breaks... etc etc.

Cause that's what taxes do. That's what you're paying for.
So when you opt out of paying for public services and then still want to use public services, that's when you're a leech (and scummy) on society.

...

Because he criticised other people for doing it.

t. Owen Jones

No, that's not even irregular usage, it's just totally incorrect. You're speaking to a Classics professor, child. I know Latin.

A classics professor that doesn't know et al means and others? Lol I hope you got a reciept with your diploma.

Your just an idiot. I have tenure, I know what the usage of et al is, I know for a fact what alia implies, and I know the historical usage. You don't.

Et al is only used to refer to persons.
