Is this movie actually good or did white guilt cause it to get nominated?

>white guilt

where exactly was the racism in this film

It's good, watch it

I liked it. Made fun of libtards.

Every time a white character appeared or spoke.

It's only good if you don't really know much going into it, which was the case for me. I thought it was gonna be about a white neighborhood terrorizing the black dude and forcing him to leave. That's what it looked like from the one promo I saw.

I would say it's not very rewatchable. It's largely based on a mystery and twist that is made explicit to you in the third act. If you know where the movie is headed, it isn't fun.

The premise is about percieved racism.

OP, it was nominated because it's a new gimmick. Like Blair witch.

It's a good movie. It deserves a nomination, but doesn't deserve to win.

I mean as in, it was only nominated because it was the "black" film of this year (like Moonlight, 12 years a slave etc)

Both honestly.

I liked it in the same way I liked Thor.
Not the same way I liked Phantom Thread, Sacred Deer, Three Billboards, Song to Song, etc
So no it doesn’t really deserve anything

It deserves a nomination. Just because I liked this movie does not make me an SJW. I honestly think Get Out is pretty great. It kept me on the edge of my seat. All the characters were unique: the crazy brother, the strange maid, the mysterious groundskeeper, the blind man, etc… Very good acting, original story, and I was entertained from beginning to end.

Is it true that it's a documentary?

I hope it sweeps the Oscars so I can relish in the neckbeard and beta butthurt

No.

It was leagues better than Moonlight, but no it didn’t deserve to be nominated for Best Pic. Deserves a nom and arguably a win for Best Original Screenplay, though

Btw, Moonlight wasn’t a “token” black film last year. There were also Hidden Figures and Fences, the latter which was actually a good film and far, far more deserving of the win

Spooky Maid Grandma carried the fuck out of this movie
No nom
Nah, Diversity Hire as generic boring photographer doesn’t deserve best actor

Wait, wouldn’t they be happy if it won?
What are you even talking about?

Ah, but those movies weren't about a GAY black person. That's two victimhoods instead of just one.

Pretty good. Solid thriller that derails into another genre near the end but in a good way.

I don't get why the main actor got nominated for an oscar. He's completely forgettable. The only people giving a worthwhile performance were the maid grandma and his friend from customs.

LMAO they nominated the lead for Best Actor?? Hahahahahahahahaha no one can defend this
