netflix is too afraid to show black people committing crime
Watched the first episode. Thugs are not anything like the ones I see in real life. Muslim feminist woman accusing white males and the west and defending some muslim shithole where goat fuckers got assblasted. Punisher barely punishes anyone. Nothing like my favorite comic book. Didnt try episode 2.
i liked it. the marvel netflix universe gives these street level heroes a more realistic backstory and development and i think they did a good job on frank, giving him proper motivation.
bernthal played the part really well, and his performance would've been overlooked if it were any old generic marine coping performance. people will appreciate the distance he went because it's frank castle.
i liked what they did with russo. made him one hell of a son of a bitch.
desu their could've been more punishing but there at least was the subplot with the crazy ex army guy blowing people up which led to some good action.
i hope to see a season 2. personally frank is the next best character over daredevil since it's devolving pretty fucking fast into ancient chinese mysticism shit. frank is relate-able to a lot of people and so is his world. no bullshit, no magic, just willpower, skill and unbreakable moral code that isn't as boring as red batman's.
...
I didn't finish it because I realized I don't care about him or those two FBI retards
Not what I was hoping for. I wanted Punisher MAX, but of course Marvel would never have the balls to make that. The Slavers or Up is Down and Black is White would both make for amazing seasons/movies.
My man... I was hoping for MAX too... Or any punisher approach that would have been less gay than this one... Not even a grenade in a case...
It's a shame that the best Punisher will never get proper movie/series. I think Terry Crews would make a great Barracuda.
Best Netflix Marvel show.
Same as all the others. Too many episodes.
Needed to be much tighter.
Mileage varies on the PC shit.
I thought ultimately it pushed the agenda too hard and I won't be bothering with season 2.
This.
this shitty combo of godless psychopathy, terrible choreography and engagement, and bottom barrel stereotypes/tropes to keep things artificially moving
just awful
this, it feels like it was written and directed by some misanthropic robot
>the marvel netflix universe gives these street level heroes a more realistic backstory
>removes Luke Cage's backstory about growing up on the streets and then getting framed for a crime he didnt commit, only to become a Hero for Hire
>makes him into a countryside, former military and ex-cop, MUH CIVIL RIGHTS LEADERS character
The face against the glass scene was kino

What we got would've worked better as a second season. first season should've been Frank Franking the remaining Hell's Kitchen gang members, followed by him calling it quits and going into hiding until Micro finds him.
It's a series about The Punicher, user
You obviously didn't pay attention. He was never in the military, and he got framed and sent to jail where he was experimented on and became invulnerable.
You're just retarded
It should have been 8 episodes instead of 13. Other than that, it was great and probably my second favorite behind Jessica Jones
6/10, a selection of good casting choices produced good performances but the whole thing is weighed down by obvious Netflix tier writing. Dragged on for too long, they could have cut a good three or four episodes worth of trash. Castle is great, Madani is ok, Lieberman is trash but his wife is pretty fantastic. Rawlins is atrocious, it's like they knew he was a shitty character and left most of his scenes on the cutting room floor which somehow makes him even worse because we never really understand anything about him. Billy Russo is the highlight, I loved every scene he was in.
I knew it was going to miss the mark when Castle chose not to shoot a criminal at the end of the first episode.
It'd be good if it weren't bad.
It was bad and it made me very upset.
he was in the Marines
i loved almost every minute of it, and i hope we get a more traditional punisher story next time, with the same quality.
they already used too much kitchen irish stuff in dd s2, that was my dream season.
Pretty shitty. I was expecting something among the lines of MAX or at least similar to the tone of the videogame.

jon bernthal playing shane version 2.5
This, unironically
I really hope Daredevil really gets back on track
take that, stefan, you white supremacist
I did pay attention, and he was nothing like the comics. Felt like a PC version of Luke Cage.
Im a big Luke Cage/Iron Fist fan so I know what Im talking about.
i hated almost every single minute of it
eventually i just fast forwarded to the end fight and it was just as bad as i could have imagined
It's amazing that they were able to make the show more liberal than the show about a woman super hero
I got so bored I stopped watching at episode 4. Really sucks that every Netflix Marvel show is somehow even worse than the last one
except for every episode of luke cage.
it was garbage, the only good thing about it? it wasn't as bad as iron fist or the defenders
