great movie but the profitability went down the drain

you wouldnt trust a non professional to do your medical surgery or to fight your court case
you wouldnt even trust a non professional to fix the wiring in your house
so why would you trust those here?
cringe
Because film critics don’t go through 10 years of research or abide by the scientific method
neither do Sup Forums posters, your point being?
THEY RUINED A ONCE GREAT SAGA FOR PROFIT
>the critics must be paid if they disagree with my plebian sensibilities!!11
you forgot your tin hat mr alex jones
Simple, youre paying them for a service. Disney is paying critics for theirs so theh are biased.
>spinning a narrative for a Jewish mutli-billion dollar company FOR FREE

wew
Because it boils down to opinions.
>professional
Look up most these critics. Some are literally just faggots who post on Youtube or some nobody in a newspaper no one's heard of. Fuck all of them have any real experience of making proper movies or studying the craft.

TLJ apologists are actually proud of kissing the ass of critics who are coerced and bribed by companies.
>watching star wars
Your garbage no matter which side you agree with
You understand that good movies don't need a defense force, right?
Do you even get how pathetic this campaign looks?
OP you're free to keep watching Disney's terrible SW flicks to your heart's content regardless of the opinions of others.

I think the problem you're having is that you think those "professionals" are vetted for their knowledge of filmcraft, or that their seasoning makes them better critics. In reality, very few contributors are selected or vetted based on their actually abilities. They're hired because they're willing to write entertaining articles that will get page views without rocking the boat or upsetting the advertisers/parent company. In an age where 6 media giants own every media outlet, it's hard to be a critic since your boss' boss likely expects a glowing recommendation for their products. Seasoning in this system merely creates people who know how to bullshit and are willing to do what their told.
Oh wow another thread about defending a shitty movie. Mouse:give up

This is the most damage controlled Star Wars movie I've seen since any of the Prequels. The Disney shills are in desperation mode, and it's hilarious what lengths they'll go to. I haven't seen this much shilling since Hillary's failed campaign.
No amount of self-reassurance will EVER "fix" this movie. It was a complete abomination, and the defenders know that deep down in their hearts.
Disney's nu-Wars was made to pander to SJWs/baizuo and it is this very pandering that will ultimately destroy the franchise at some point in the near future. Deal with it.
>what is the top critics tab
it's even higher with the filter on lol
The ones telling you the movie is shit because that's what it is

How braindead do you have to be to be incapable of understanding that a shitty movie can make a lot of money?
Neither man, it's art, form your own opinion
Russia, DC Comics and Trump
If any IP is enough to create a Pavlovian response in people, it's Star Wars.
Fuck, even Attack of the Clones wasn't enough to get people to stop showing up.
Most people just want to take their kids, and most kids just want to see spaceships and laser swords.
>best looking polack is actually black
wtf pol?
frankly, I only care about my opinion, which is that TLJ was a pile of shit. I don't care if critics are retarded.
Those are Prussian and pre-WW2 german flags
>being this retarded
Well seeing as the movie was fucking terrible Id go with the bitter fanboys
No one. I just copypasta whenever a nuWars defense thread goes up.
You could always form your own opinion
>vetted
That tells you right there that they are selected to do a specific (((job))).
Vetted, seasoned professionals? based on what? These are not soldiers carrying their dossiers loaded with missions, certificates, training regiments, and successful operations. These are people who live behind a computer screen and get their jollies off citing shite words like 'nuance' and 'subversion'.
I remember reading Freakonomics many years ago. Good book, but the best thing it had in it was to look for who has incentive, and how strong that incentive is. Fanboi's as you call them, have no incentive that serves them. They can degrade the movie, but they pay to see it either way and Disney doesn't care if they like it as long as they are going. Critics on the other hand have their entire fiscal well-being and reputation on the line. Who has more exposure here?
Essentially, your statement is true, just not in the way you think.
>biggest drop in the history of movies
>not shitty
Pick one
BASED COPAST!
Hey you. Yeah, you with the ugly mug. I'm talking to you. Yes, you.
Fuck yourself. You're a blight on humanity. Fucking racist nigger.
whoa, it's almost like there's more than one way to make a terrible movie
>vetted, seasoned professionals whose entire job is to watch, sort and score all sorts of movies
LMAO. Please tell me that you are trolling?
...
> it was a complete abomination
Franchises are designed to make audiences fanatical. The very existence of a movie is propaganda designed to submerse you into a fictitious world and trick you into believing in it's constructed reality.
For the purpose of **?**
> this has been debated for over hundred years and will never have a settled answer
Self assurance is something that happens after the fact, so you are correct in saying that it can not be 'fixed'.
What I find interesting about this situation is that the hippocracy of the internet is fully exposed by this particular example. Because you really do not know the real demographic psychology of 'on-liners'.
Corporations attempting to control criticism have no choice but to go into "damage control" and question everything when this happens. It doesn't matter where the source of the criticism comes from, weather its one angry fan filling in multiple survey sheets or a bureaucrat in an office or that one loan wolf that became radicalized. The point is - the criticism is violent. And violence leads to extremism.
> it was a complete abomination
This situation is the same as being in the 1800's and having the audience throw rotten vegetables at the show on stage, and the produces backstage claiming it's all just some political conspiracy!
> shills will always shill
And it has one of the most moronic plots I have ever seen in scifi, let alone any ordinary movie. I mean how hard do you have to work to mess up Star Wars? That is an accomplishment!
>this
Getting the wrong impression of a movie from opinions and reviews aren't life threatening
>makes 1,300,000,000$
It’s better than nothing.
Reminder that Star Wars was meant to be a beefed-up 40s sci-fi serial. And those serials had some pretty stupid plots
Reminder that the only difference between killing yourself now and waiting 5 or 10 or 15 or 20 years to do it is the amount of Anguish you'll experience between now and then.
Nice one.
People who paid vs people who got paid.

Yes, people just don't understand the genius of say, the first 4 Transformers movies and the whole Resident Evil saga
but i actually watched the movie. So I know its not 8/10
