What was his fucking problem?

omnipotence makes you do crazy things

...

He was just bored

>Star Wars-Feminist agenda

>Discovery-Gay agenda

>Blade Runner 2-Overrated flop

Tfw Sci fi is finished

oops

A few thousand millenia of pic related and you would be desperate for entertainment too

Phillip K Dicks electric dreams is REALLY fucking good.

>getting bored of petting the dog.

Is that the anthology on Amazon? I saw the episode witb the vr in the vr. It was breddy gud

No it's not, black mirror is better (excluding the most recent netlifx series). And that's not great either.

Immortality is boring so he adopted humanity as a pet and people like to play with their pets.

I don't understand the BM hype. I enjoy it but there's like two episodes that do good in the dread department.

But electric dreams is pure UK TV mediocrity. I'm a brit myself, and the show was a bland, poorly written, low budget show that did not stand out from all the other fictional tv in this country.

just having some fun, theoretically he could have been responsible for the human race existing in the first place

Did Q ever fuck with any other species?

Yeah tons, the episode where he's turned human has one of them try to kill them. Humanity is his pet species though so it's the only one where his torments have good intentions.

his problem was you, shitty human

*try to hill him

Friendly reminder that Dukat did nothing wrong.

>not rewatching /trek/ and /gate/ kino until the end of time

>Joined Bajoran cult
>Fathered a child with a Bajoran woman
>Lost Terok Nor to the Bajorans
>Sold out Cardassia to a foreign power
Face it: Dukat disgraced himself and Cardassia many times over.

don't The Q do these test to test ethics and morality of other species to determine if they have reached a plane that matches or is near their own?
I could of sworn the only reason he doesn't outright fuck them over every time he shows up is because he senses a small form of what they are looking for in humanity.

>it's a mrs davenport episode

why include this god awful shit?

They just did the trial to humanity because humanity's desire to explore and learn for the sake of doing it interests them since they have nothing them to do in their immortality. That and humanities habit may lead to them evolving into a race beyond the Q. De Lancie does it to have fun and help them grow. Thus the early Borg warning, saving the planet for the Federation when his powers are restored, saving Picard and having him get over his doubts about the path he's taken, then helping stop Picard from destroying Humanity.

He's bored. All the time. He can do anything but he's already done everything so he became a cynical asshole with godlike powers.

So the Q have stalled their own evolution through apathy and humanities desire to evolve or "learn" has the potential to help them develop again if they have equal peers?
If i'm reading your post right.

Makes sense, if you think you're top dog you'll never develop without an antagonist to push you.

Janeway had the worst fucking tastes in holodeck programs:
* Pretending to be an English nanny
* That stupid Irish village
* Hanging out with Leonardo da Vinci so he can call her smart for "inventing" flight or whatever

...

Black mirror sucks in the mind fuckery department.

I don't know, I love this godlike entity. He just wanted to have fun and help humanity along (although he didn't admit that openly, the intent ultimately becomes clear). There's also a hint that humanity's strive for discovery is something his species is lacking currently, and thus humanity may help them rediscover something they have lost. Who knows.

Check out the episode with Brian Cranston ass in the love scene.

he was a guardian of the galaxy

...

I take it to mean feminism is science fiction.

lol

He didn't lose Terok Nor to the Borjis, Cardassia pulled out of that area. Also he fathered at least two rinkle nose bastards.

>Cardassia pulled out of that area
>He fucked up so badly the Cardassians were forced to end their occupation

Adding to this, he also launched a successful recapture of DS9 and held it for a long-ass time. Even stifled a resistence effort and only fucked up because he had dad guilt and overlooked Quark. In his defense, everyone overlooked Quark before s6, except Odo

Not one of mine

>Not the "Kes wants to die" Edition

>Not liking the Da Vinci simulation.

He was a god; they tend to be assholes.

>That stupid Irish village
Even the actress herself hated it.

>garak plotting in the background

I wish we had a series devoted to these 2 based lads

>Woman accused of stealing and hooking up water meter

What?

>no Ferengi series
>no Worf series
>no Cardassian series

>strange Captain, this planet bears a strong resemblance to Southern California

>The Quarks
>Worf Knows Best
>Keeping Up with the Cardassians

I'd like to see a series based on the Federation-Romulan tensions. It doesn't have to include war, I think we got enough of that in ENT and DS9, but it could focus on a starship crew like TNG being sent off to covert missions to gather intel in Romulan space. Most of the show would include your random "slice of life" one-off episodes where the crew handles a certain problem, but they would routinely be called to investigate Romulan activities with the meta-plot slowly escalating towards the series' finale.

jej

I've only seen STD and maybe one episode full of the original series.
I should definitely watch TNG, right?

Why wasnt voyager cancelled

I'd love to see a Romulan/Federation/Klingon crew post-Dominion War trying to work out their differences and expanding in the Gamma Quadrant in the void left by the collapse of the Dominion with Changeling Odo as a main character

I'd really like to see a series from the replicator's point of view

DS9>TOS=TNG>STD>VOY>ENT

Choose your own path my friend

I

wrong. DS9>TNG=TOS>ENT>VOY>>>>>>>>literal shit>>>>>>>>>>STD

>still puts Voyager over Enterprise
That was an emotional roller coaster

Despite the poor reception, it was still watched by a lot of people. Kinda like how nobody in the history of anything enjoyed Full House, yet it's one of the most successful sitcoms of the 80s.

Yes. If you can get beyond the 80s camp factor and the weak start of the show (although the pilot isn't bad), you're in for a treat. The show gets really good towards season 3.

When you're done with TNG, it's time to become a man and watch DS9, literally the best Star Trek show there is and ever will be.

ENT is good too, although hardcore fans won't stop reminding you how bad it handles the Star Trek source material most of the time.

VOY and TOS... who cares. VOY is so shit that it's kinda comfy again, but TOS is just outdated trash (trekkies will LOVE me for saying that).

>std

Don't even bother.

t. contrarian

enterprise was so shit I gave it up after one season and just rewatched DS9

does anyone know the Star Trek: Enteprise episode where the ship's crew gets infected with a funguslike thing that connects all their nervous systems and they star to be able to share thoughts?

Yes cause you need to watch best comfy trek.

what's it like to have such a shit opinion?

You tell me

I couldn't even finish the first season.

>That feel when we are never going to get a Star Trek show that actually gives a single fuck about the spirit of Star Trek, Star Trek canon or be based around an ensemble cast ever again.

Almost right user

DS9>TNG>ENT>VOY>TOS>>>>a weekend in south africa>>>>STD

>people I don't like are contrarians

No, you're just shit at handling criticism

There are guides of watch/skip of each series that get posted from time to time. For the most part, you skip s1-2 of TNG, watch s3-6, and skip to All Good Things. DS9 is skip season 1 and most of 2, watch the rest except Ferengi episodes (2 are decent). Voy is skippable with Scorpion, Year of Fun, every Doctor episode, and late s6-s7 Broken Janeway kino. Skip Endgame and headcanon an ending.

Ent is skippable minus the Xindi arc and whatever is left for s3-4. Also, Final episode is shit and skippable

>Sword of the Stranger

Muh man

i asked you first

You would know, bitch.

I think a general theme of Q and the Q is that they're a metaphor for God if he exists. The crews struggles with what God (Q) challenges them with are an excercise of humanity trying to comprehend the intentions of an omnipotent being (god/Q) and like God Q's intentions are ultimately shown to be benevolent despite causing the crew a lot of distress and loss.

How do I get a trekkie gf?

so what's it like?

>waited nearly two decades for a new Star Trek show
>turns out it's just a political propaganda vessel with awful cast and aesthetic design choices
>B-B-BUT DUTCH ANGLES!!!!

dumb roastie its on the wrong side of her face

What was his fucking problem?

he was too smart

Be attractive enough to match with one on tinder and talk about Star trek.

It's a camera so the image is flipped

>not reading the classics by Heinlein, Clarke, Asimov, Forward, Halderman, Egan

>Ops has a replicator
>People shown with drinks.
>Sulu drinks on bridge on Voyager
What did le casual fun black guy 1st episode shitty orville "fan" jokes mean by this?

The De Lancie Q wasn't actually that benevolent. We're being told a couple of times during TNG that he's not just mischievious to Picard & Co. but to pretty much everything and everyone he comes across. The only thing holding him back from fucking up the entire universe is the fact that the Q Continuum is holding him back with a lose code of ethics. If it was for him, everyone would have a much worse time than they already have.

All the Ferengi episodes are GOAT faggot

lol wut you went full retard

Can't you see the two images are mirror images?

Couldn't you say the same about at least the judeo Christian god? In the old testament god was a vindictive son of a bitch. He killed an entire man's family and ruined his life to prove a point to the devil.

>skipping bad episodes

If you don't suffer as everyone else did, you cannot become part of the brotherhood. Also, you cannot partake in the HILARIOUS MAYMAY posting about particularily shitty Trek episodes.

What's so great about DS9?
And what's so bad about enterprise?
>t. TOS&TNG viewer

this. you can't skip on first watch. if you skip you are a little bitch

Would absolutely watch a Ferengi sitcom.

ENT is better than VOY and STD. DS9 has the best stories and character progression

>skipping the DS9 character development

Shiggy diggy

DS9 has
>best characters
>best series-spanning plot
>second best cinematography
>best character arcs

Enterprise has
>people playing Star Trek in mechanic shop suits

You tell me

I don't know about Voyager so... maybe just like a few bad stuff about it?

How well would you handle ascending to God good?

>Skipping on first runs

They must suffer. Skips are for repeat viewings.

80's camp factor isn't an issue, plus I'm aware how comfy the show is.
Despite the fact that I've never really watched it I've looked up a lot of information from it (the Borg, Species 8472, Cardassians, Q, etc). I know exactly what the show is, I just haven't seen it yet. I think it's just been released on UK Netflix (or I've just noticed it's on there) so I'll probably start it sometime soon. To give some vague idea of where else I'm coming from, show-wise, I'm a Sopranosfag

I didn't expect to be skipping episodes but in that case I'll look us those guides before I do.

This guy knows Trek
