POT ZOMBIES (2005)
What is acid like?
Like nothing you can possibly imagine
Reminder that the "bad trip" is reality, and this is only the briefest of dreams.
What's that like?
Not bad
Fun for a little while but gets old when you still feel like a crazy person 2 days later.
schizofag detected
Imagine if normal consciousness, like you feel right now, feels like the color blue.
Acid in comparison feels like a color you have never seen before.
Enter the void
Like a blind person asking what a vanilla sky sunset looks like
Like being a different thing.
Scanner Darkly
My "bad trip" wasn't seeing weird spooky shit. I always loved just putting on the blacklight and staring into the mirrors while some heavy industrial was playing and just lose myself for hours. My bad trip ended up being all psychological. I was convinced all my friends and everyone at this party I was at hated me and were out to get me. I think it was the closest I got to knowing what schizophrenia is like.
Not that user, and each person may vary, but I've done acid three times now, and the effects were fairly consistent. First time was 100, then the other two were 125.
>Strong desire for novelty
>People you interact with kind of feed off you and you off them, your emotions and desires usually synchronize
>Changing scenery after staying in one place a while was like an emotional reset
>You should do whatever comes to mind as something you'd like to do. It's important to keep your "vibes" (general mood) good.
>I had a desire to have in-depth conversations, though the topic didn't matter a great deal
>Had some very minor visual hallucinations, but they were largely easy to ignore. Breathing surfaces, stupid ideas about what was in my peripheral vision.
>Music was better
>Watching stuff can be alright, but you often get caught up on stupid or insignificant details
>Strangers seemed like they should be avoided
>Perception of time is way off, trips were a little under 12 hours
It was enjoyable.
>First time was 100, then the other two were 125.
>knowing exactly what ur getting down to the mg
damn dude i want ur dealer. i can't trust tht i won't b getting a fucking research chem instead, let alone a proper strong hit of lsd.
The Trip (1967). Here,

I drink your blood
Blood freak
Bitcoin, TOR, buy that shit online
i saw 2 of em but it was bad mush trips.
forget the names.
one of em had a couple of hicks in a cabin and it was like a slasher.
the other one was trippier, like, they were stepping into some weird zone like a spooky portal or some shit.
both were happening in the woods.
the wolf is by far the most accurate of the two
>Music was better
I feel thats really an understatemrnt
It wasn't anything revolutionary for me. Maybe if I took a higher dose.
the first one was named "Shrooms" and its sort of shit...
the other one is "TOAD ROAD" ! heh. i think i will rewatch it, it was ok. a bit mumbly maybe but ok. they went for the weird vibe so i have to respect that.
I usually take ~200gs and of all of my trips, I NEVER thought music was as spectacular as other people hype it up to be. I even say that as a music lover.
Nothing to be ashamed about. Acid effects everyone in different ways
What kind of music did you listen to? I find that the the best acid music is harsh and abrasive stuff like this. It gives you the best visual hallucinations.

Watched Moving Art on acid, blew my mind couldn’t understand the colors I was seeing.
Ween
MGMT
Animal Collective
The Beatles
Also a few songs that were more personal to me.
How similar is acid to mushrooms?
I couldnt post it here because of the size limit but here is what acid is truly like
...
Altered States
>MGMT
>Animal Collective
>The Beatles
Yep there's your problem user. Everyone thinks that when you're on acid you have to listen to delicate little fairy music like AnCo or Beatles. That's the stereotypical "psychedelic" music. But that kind of music is so soft and weak. Of course you're not going to get strong effects from it.
You need something with more noise and heaviness. You will get very strong visual hallucinations.

Or something weird and crazy like this.

This is what the visual aspect od acid looks like, watch the letters in the middle and the look away.

Of course what acid "feels" like is a completely different beast, you cant really tell someone because we have no point od reference to compare it, a close comparizon would be child like wonderlust
the day after was the longest day of my life
After my first bad trip I was shellshocked for the next week and a half or so. Nonstop paranoia like I was going to die no matter where I was or who was around. It was genuinely horrific and my life for a solid week had an underlying feeling of terror. Even if I was having the best day of my life, I still had an underlying feeling like nothing was ok
>Emperor
Mah nikka, good memories
...
Mr Hyde looks like a pepe shitpost
>A childlike wonderlust
Accurate. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this.
...
For me, acid feels oddly familiar. Even the first time I did it it felt familiar somehow. It's like going home after a very long time and you forgot about it but now you remember.

You dont 'have' to do anything on psychedelics. Every consciousness is different so don't act like you're some kind of supreme authority.
this plus Wake in Fright, Demon Seed, Wicker Man, Seconds, Daisies... there's plenty true psychedelic cinema.
yep. familiarity and the concept of time and space and dimensions of space are looked at less "human" when the psys can help you strip away your social conditioning and just rawly experience reality and the information infront of you. Language is also a cool subject to ponder on doses.
Bump
Wake in Fright is so good because that is exactly what rural Australia is like. It is a hellhole full of the lost and aimless detritus of society, descended from miscreants and outcasts, with nothing but alcohol to occupy their time. It is the sordid underbelly of Western Civilization. Alienated and disenfranchized.
Like you're in on a secret that everyone else is also in on but they don't seem to realize it. Like your wavelength is synchronized to the wavelength of everything else around you. Like the answer to everything is so simple and it's just on the tip of your tongue, but you can't quite make it out but you understand even so, and you're okay with that.
This. Weak faggoty music like that is so aggravating. People like that'll never know what it's like to trip to Nine Inch Nails. It's about dense and detailed production. Not the fruitiest music you can listen to with the most colorful album art.
Calling The Banshee Chapter "good" would probably be a stretch, but it's a competent horror movie about psychadelic drugs.
altered states
>listens to NIN
you're in no position to call anyone a faggot.
lol go outside type faggots
It'd probably put me in the position of accurately calling someone a faggot going by your judgement, faggot

>>Had some very minor visual hallucinations, but they were largely easy to ignore. Breathing surfaces, stupid ideas about what was in my peripheral vision.
yeah you were sold bunk dude
No, that sounds about right for 100ug. Visuals don't really start to kick in (at least for me) until about twice that.
Cooties
Agreed, the stereotypical trip music trips me out. Last trip me and a roommate ended up listening to the 90s station on the radio, perfect blend of nostalgia and energy
I mean they're both hallucinogens but have very different feels to them. Hard to explain, mushrooms always make me feel very happy go lucky and adventurous and things feel cartooney, while acid makes me really high strung and anxious, like you're trespassing in the in-between moments of thought and total ego obliteration is a constantly looming threat.
I don't know, different substances, different trips, different interdimensional ayy lmao's that show up.
...
How are online dealers any more reliable?
>Language is also a cool subject to ponder on doses.
Language loses its meaning to me on acid. My thoughts become more visual and pure and primal, less watered down with words.
You ever have those dreams where it makes sense while you're dreaming it and you feel as if you've awakened some kind of profound knowledge or genius idea and then you wake up and realize it makes absolutely no sense and is in fact stupid? It's like that except you keep believing it's smart afterward because your inhibition is lowered to zilch and you become far more malleable to suggestion. It's similar to what happens when you smoke weed and you become more open and flexible to different ideas while your high lasts.
Hallucinations aren't actually very vibrant, but it feels that way because you're fucked up.
Shrooms
second one's A field in England
sounds similar to a weed high, minus the hallucinations
Not exactly. It feels a lot more complex than a high from THC. When I've taken acid, only the first half hour or so do I feel anything like a weed high, and it's much more intense. After that, it's an entirely different feeling. Watching a movie or talking to someone are very different things on each.
user its like the difference between watching a movie about being high, and actually being high. Though I have been out of my mind high.
jesus fuck that image almost gave me a heart attack
Source?
Give us a moment.
There was an 80's movie I saw that was literally about a group of people, who a decade later, start having flashbacks from a batch of Acid they took and kill each other or something.
Lots of fun and not at all like I was expecting.
Ketamine is better though.
Jacob's Ladder.
Hang on to your shit.
>Strong desire for novelty
>tfw first time I did acid it was me and a cloes female friend
>We stocked up on movies, music, other shit and made the house really comfy
>Plan on just watching movies and seeing how it feels
>Obviously worried about "bad trips" paranoida etc
>literally an hour after it kicked in cannot stop giggling and both of us are desperate to get out of the houe and get into the city and DO STUFF
It wasn't what I expected at all.
Also - no one bothered to tell me about the fact that you can't sleep. I was up for 2 days.
I've taken LSD several times. The only time I had a bad trip is was when I combined LSD with a drug called Methoxetamine (similar Ketamine and PCP). I became incredibly disassociated but, unlike with Methoxetamine or Ketamine on their own, I didn't also become retarded, my brain was working fine, and unlike those two drugs I didn't snap out after 45 minutes or so, I instead basically stayed in a waking k-hole for 2 hours or so.
Anyway - I've done LSD a bunch, never really had a problem.
On the other hand smoking weed affects me REALLY strongly. I get intense anxiety, paranoida and my thoughts become incredibly erratic.
It affects me far stronger than LSD and in a really negative way.
Here you go
Never had a problem sleeping once I come down. I've also known old heads who have slept through trips.
>Whoah maaan... I had the CRAZIEST DREAM!
>tumblr_mykahlPvHO1sa6tkbo1_500.gif
The tried and true ones from the silk road days are still out there.
I took two hits the very first time I did acid and I would say my experience was quite mellow despite being extremely fucking high for 16 hours.
This of course was probably the benefit of being at a cabin on a lake on a beautiful summer day. I laid on the deck for about 4 hours playing a fucking kalimba. It was like that episode of star trek where Piccard lives another life in a few moments and learns to play the flute. Drinking a bit during the trip will also ground you a bit I find.
I dunno, it probably has more to do with your environment and previous state of mind.
>try adic
meh pretty good shit but nothing special
>try shrooms

Ignore all these bozos posting wacky mysticism user. Acid trips have a very describe-able and have a pretty definite arc.
Acid works like this:
>first 30-mins to an hour you have a body high. You may feel goosebumps, minor vibrations etc. and a feeling of warm pleasantness.
>next you'll have what I call the kino phase. Perception is still fairly normal (some minor visual hallucinations may be present such as superimposed undulating patterns of circles), but you perceive "deeper meanings" in everything. Sorta like your highschool english teacher did for whatever dumb books you read, but not just for books but for everything - every action, relationship, situation etc. Your buddy next to you may strike a heroic pose, and all of a sudden to you he is embodying the very archetype of heroism. This phase is by FAR my favorite part of a trip.
>About 3-4 hours in you will "peak". This is the point where your brain's information filtering mechanisms have broken down to the point that the outside world is overwhelming. Picture being lost in a shopping mall for the very first time as a little kid. During this phase it's quite possible, though not strictly guaranteed (you can practice techniques to avoid this), that you will get stuck in thought loops where you continuosly repeat the same series of thoughts and actions because your short term memory is fucked. The peak is also where you are most suggestible (because you're basically a little fucking kid) and if you're tripping with buddies the "themes" and "ideas" of their trips will bleed into yours.
>After peaking you have 6-8 FUCKING HOURS of come down where you alternate between being a sober, rational, and put together adult and being a kid overwhelmed by the world again in roughly 15 minute intervals. This part fucking sucks, lasts way too long, and is the reason I don't do Acid anymore.
Also add copious amounts of laughing, altered time perception (usually to make it seem longer), and a general sense that objects are "elongated" (see mannerist art for an idea) to the mix throughout.
>How much did you take.
alot
id say this is pretty accurate, and i agree about the comedown's, its a cool experience but its not one you need to feel for 8-12 hours without break, also I'd emphasize the visual aspect a bit more I remember seeing everything moving like the wood-grain running like a river, patterns and walls morphing in and out of themselves or breathing as people call it and the outside edges of things like the branches of tree's flickering around like snakes (but not in a menacing way), was pretty cool at the time especially the mental experience(kino's a good word for it) but in hindsight lots of the hype about psychedelics is 90% bullshit or exaggeration.
They're insightful to an extent but its important to realize lots of the things you think or experience aren't literal truths or particularly meaningful even though it feels like it at the time, ive seen people who don't make this distinction end up as very lost people.
Holy shit that's accurate. Natural light make it more vibrant though.
>extent but its important to realize lots of the things you think or experience aren't literal truths or particularly meaningful even though it feels like it at the time,
Can't emphasize this enough fellow user. Theres a reason I compared it to a high schools teacher's dumb analysis. It's because psychedelic "revelations" very much suffer from Everyone is Jesus in Purgatory syndrome.
