The Atlus Shrugged trilogy is the biggest clusterfuck in film making that I have ever seen. Why was it more than two hours long, and why didn't they have the cast under contract once they decided it needed to be six hours long.

Most philosophers have almost nothing to say about Rand. The problem with her is that her philosophical arguments are so amateurish it's hard to know where to start critiquing her. It's also annoying when her proponents say "it's all in the book" and can't point to specific arguments. Even Kant condensed his arguments enough that you could read 5 pages and roughly understand a concept.

She does really frustrating stuff like say "A=A" and then uses it to reach conclusions about metaethics. Nothing follows from a tautology besides itself so it's hard to figure out what she means by this.

I then speculated she's using "A=A" to make a transcendental argument (Namely, the fact that we know a=a presupposes the possibility of rationality). I then argue that this is odd because she hated when Kant used transcendental arguments to determine the preconditions of knowledge.
