If you could make a film/tv series, with unlimited budget. What would it be about?
If you could make a film/tv series, with unlimited budget. What would it be about?
Pluto Nash 2
A Chris Chan trilogy.
A movie universe that is completely different make cues, but each one still takes place in the same timeline.
First movie- simple artsy movie about 5 girls being held captive about to be sold into sexual slavery. We follow through the events of Tanya and hailie.
Second movie-a movie that will have sequels but it’s in the same universe as the first one. The story would be about a black mafia family in New Orleans. They are involved in many criminal enterprises, including sex slavery. The father is the boss, and he’s trying to groom his son so he can retire, but his son is such a fuck up he can’t trust the business to him.
Third movie- a whit Middle Aged guy who follows the event in movie number 2, is suddenly made off from his factory job, worried he won’t be able to provide for his family, he turns to a friend who has him sell drugs. The story follows him and how he spirals into a bigger pit.
It would be a world where the land is all irradiated and poisoned, and the only surviving humans live in canoes up and down the rivers, and since they can only leave the safety of their canoes for a few minutes a day to swim to the bottom and bring up vegetation to eat, or the odd artifact in the sandy riverbed, they cannot build anything, cannot forge tools, cannot scavenge the wasteland of civilization, and live their entire lives merely encountering each other in their canoes, trading stories and ideas, occasionally making love, but never more offspring than can be accommodated by 2 in a canoe. Over the generations, they have worked out an efficient way of life gliding down the rivers, in and out of the fog, keeping the useful knowledge of the past that can be recited orally alive, deciding what history survives and what is forgotten, and what philosophies are explored and are useful in their unique environmental and social situation. In that setting, there is still discovery of new ideas, there is still romance, there is still loss and death, and there is still hope, not for a reckless repeat of the past, but of that unique existences own priorities.
Basically you could shoot the entire thing from the banks of a river. Good thing it would be cheap, because no one would ever go to see it.
A travel docu that shows different countries attitudes to a list of topics (religion, family, success) through an Attenborough style
An ensemble blockbuster staring all of Sup Forums's guys

Masters of Rome
the jq.
making a film without unlimited budget.
I'd make a film based in Kowloon Walled City
I'd fund Jodorowsky's Dune
Where an American teenager on a exchange to Japan in the mid 80s meets a beautiful Japanese girl and they fall in love, only to be constantly whisked away by teachers/friends whenever they bump into each other. It would be very slow paced, minimal dialogue and lots of city flyovers/scenic shots
Where I hunt and kill idiots who think romantically about the mid-80s.
The belagariad, scene for scene, word for word from the novels.
Thankfully David Eddings has said he will never allow an adaptation of his works (because they're always manipulated by some cunty director that thinks THEIR vision is more important than the fucking authors), and instructed his Trust to ensure his wishes are kept forever.
Adaptation of Aztec by Gary Jennings.
Picture Rome, set in Mexico just before the Spaniards showed up. It's the fall of the Aztec empire as told through one man. Raised by modest means, scribe, soldier, merchant, translator.
It would hav to be, say 5 seasons. Game of Thrones type money.
Like Rome, you get the lives of the lower class, and the ruling class. Tis story has everything, love, unrequited love, gay love, revenge, evil, Underaged incest, pedophilic slavery, lesbian rape, blood sacrifice, dismemberment, flaying, fucking on psychotropic drugs, high adventure, classic racism, burning at the stake and religious prophecy.
All the intrigue of Rome, but the aesthetics of Apocalypto, but with a lot more opulence.
you can call it "soy boy's fantasy"
I dream of making good Witcher adaptation. To make is as close to the source as possible, with fighting scenes being copied down to the T from books.
Star Wars
I'd make a live action sitcom that's like the Simpsons written like All in the Family
A short film where the protagonist dates a single mother and they live together and he bonds with the kid. They split up and years later she starts working at the bikini bar he frequents. Awkward seeing her there but he takes her under his wing because she s on drugs.
seven of one hour long episodes of bryce dallas howard sitting on my face
I'd make the most faithful adaptation of Transmetropolitian possible no drumpf stuff
A sequel to The Power of Myth but which operates under the assumption that the audience already has a grounding in anthropology.
I mean, I loved the original but it was way too accessible to really dig into the historical and philosophical meat behind so much of what it touched on.
I create a spin off of the Harry Potter world but much grittier ,an elite team of wizards and witches hunt evil wizards and witches, lots of mystery and intrigue and magical action
homosexual
the entire bible but done well
a documentary on the life of the average Sup Forums user
A black guy and a white guy are forced by circumstance to work together, and due to clashing culture differences, hilarity ensues.
The old testament, complete with b movie special effects, a fantasia night on bald mountain like hell with a Kiss and Iron Maiden soundtrack. Think Doom style visuals
epic drama about world populated entirely with nudist asian women.
it'll have a cast of millions
And then the economy crashes and they lose all of their savings, so she ends up eating him.
Written and Directed by Sion Sono.
why would you need an unlimited budget for that?
you could do that for what you have now.
I want extremely accurate 80's Tokyo flyovers, would have to edit in/out buildings and shit.
5 seasons of Bismarck - Blood and Iron with 13 episodes each season. Opening shot of him in 1862 standing in the throne room in Berlin looking out of the window and contemplating his recent rise to prime Minister. The throne is seeable in the background. The king enters and sits on the throne. Only when Bismarck turns around does the throne and king come into focus.
First season is the conflict with the liberals and the onset of the unifaction wars; loads of political intrigue and discussions and the beginnings of his plan tonuniteall Germans. German Danish war takes place parallel to have nice action that is incredibly visiceral and violent
Lily Collins frolicking through grassy fields, adventuring through the city and dancing in the rain. These montages would be interlaced with her doing asmr and looking cute in front of the camera, whispering that she loves you every so often. Think Terrence Malick's waifu shots but the entire film is like that. I would never release it, just keep it for myself.
>seeable
Mission Hill season 2
why no nude scenes?
clerks the animated series season 2
I want it to be romantic, not lewd. If it's tasteful I might be ok with it.
Unlimited budget? An inter-family drama about the colonisation of the moons of Jupiter, filmed on location.
It would be about me spending money and living a life of luxury and I'd spend my entire life shooting it.
Three hours of nonsensical dreamlike surrealist imagery but with capeshit like levels of effects, think Jodorowsky/Lynch/Bunuel/Dali but with a budget multiples that of your average Disney/Marvel flick, providing the most state of the art special effects(both practical and digital) to the most out there visuals.
An HBO series about the Greek pantheon with all of the murder, rape, incest, body horror, bestiality, unnecessarily dickish divine retribution, and pansexual orgies kept in and played absolutely straight. Each season would adapt one of the big, well known myths like Perseus or Hercules as an overarching storyline with the lesser known stories worked in throughout.
Would watch /10 user, good pitch.
that sounds so fucking good
Rumpf is more The Beast, Smiler is a hillary type.
I'd adapt Ready Player One properly
Spielberg is gonna make it too flashy
Trips confirm it's the next GoT
>well known myths like Perseus or Hercules as an overarching storyline with the lesser known stories worked in throughout
lovely, literally my kind of formula
The western. Aged bounty hunter who is on the verge of hunting long lost son in order to clarify his debts. Only to find out he is lured into the operation of assassination on G.Washington.
Cape shit but all the roles are played by women with massive tits in fetish outfits.
A retelling of multiple pagan mythologies set in the best and most outrageous kind of futuroarchaic space opera interwoven by some overarching story element. Probably get jodorowsky on board because he has an eye for aesthetics judging by his comics. 200 million dollars per episode.
Sopranos season 7 Furio's Revenge
add a city pop soundtrack and I'd be OK with this
The backstory premise is a standard fare slasher horror, but the last guy to survive did so by winning the heart of the monster (female slasher). The story itself is him trying to acclimate to as relatively normal a life as he can have with her, while obviously trying to keep her true nature a secret from friends, neighbors and family. Some black comedy from situations that arise, but it is itself not a comedy, more like a dark romance played straight.
this is always my ultimate fetish
What others have said about mythology or The Old Testament sound the most appealing idea to me must be:
>The Emigrants-series by Moberg as a multiple season tv-series so long that you'll optimally see the actors age
Either the full 4-hour cut of BR2049 or a HBO series based on the movie/universe, with unlimited budget and artistic freedom.
I'd also fund the creation of real life replicant waifus and holoJois.
Wait, unlimited budget? With so much money, I’d probably try to do social experiments then and film it as reality/documentation purposes.
The first thought to my mind was like, get 100 people, with go pros or something, gather them to a building and tell them there’s a locker with 10 million dollars on the other side of the country. Straight up IRL cannonball run, filmed all the while with go pros (and probably drones too) and with the unlimited budget be able to afford to pay for all the damage the contestants could do.
Thinking about that though made me realize you could probably do really interesting experiments too. Like get a warehouse or something, put a bunch of people inside, change stipulations and rules around, and film how people react/live through the situation.
I figured it could be a neat idea, though looking back and considering the point of the thread now, obviously an unlimited budget isn’t needed for it.
I should have added that, that’s the plan ;)
I'd make a kino where staceys are forced to take virginities of r9k khv's and chads are forced to watch. Kino of the century.
This sounds like a movie you'd start watching with your dick in your hand but then you just feel depressed or grossed out
My Series' Pilot Episode would go something like this.
>An Alien planet, far out there in Space. inhabited by human-like/humanoid Aliens. They Society, Moral values and such are eerily similar to ours.
>Those Aliens live in what would seem to us as an Utopia. Perfectly peaceful. Advanced Technology. Healthy nature. They even managed to colonize and terraform some planets within their own solar System. But they don't have warp drives or other sci-fi shit like that. It all seems pretty based.
>Just like us, they think they are alone in the universe. Just like us they wonder: Is someone out there?
>Until one day, they get their answer, when aggressive Aliens invade and go full on Independence day on them. The aggressor's weapons and shields are far too superior. They kill billions - it's almost a Genozide. They burn their world's atmosphere, glass their planets and salvage waht's left as loot for themselves before leaving - never to be seen again (in the Story).
>Millions of the Aliens managed to escape in space ships, they all regroup in space. Forming what is basically a rip off of the quraian flotilla from Mass Effect. They can't go back, all their worlds are now inhabitable to them.
>They decide to put as many of them as possible into cryosleep. Those who don't get a place in one of the cryo-Chambers spent their remaining day on board their Spaceships.
>They program their ship Computers to set a course to the nearest sun. Then to the next, and to the next - until they find a new, habitable world for them to live on.
>Timeskip: XY Thousand years into their future.
>Location: Earth. The year is 2130.
>Earth has become a dystopia. It's war torn, highly over-populated, natural resources are dwindeling. Another 100 years at most and earth would become Mad Max Fury Road 2.0
>It is at that time on earth, that on some space-Radar thousands of signals appaer.
>At the same time in space, millions of Aliens are woken up from cryo-sleep.
>Shot of Alien Ships approaching earth
New Miami Vice series set in the 80s
This would be fucking good, the original still worth seeing? How does it hold up?
I probably wouldn't even make a TV series. If I had unlimited money (implied by unlimited budget) I'd just become the next Harvey Weinstein and bang aspiring actresses all day long.
Silmarillion tv show with basically no changes from the book
Remake of The Warriors, made by the people that made The Raid movies. No fancy martial arts but brutal, sloppy brawls. No guns(except for the Lizzies scene), just fists, bats, chains, the occasional switchblade, etc.
id make a movie about the muslim invasion that happens all over europe since 2015. it would be extremely graphic, focussing on the sheer masses of the hordes, and on the extremely violent crimes they commit (murder, rape, childrape, the bombings, the acid attacks etc.)
it would be high class propaganda, but everything would be the truth.
since i have literally UNLIMITED budget, i would use only A list actors.
all those lefty faggot liberals in hollywood would be in it, because they just cant say no to the sweet sweet money. and nobody can ignore a movie with all the big actors in it.
nothing will ever come close to it.
How do I come up with original story ideas guys?
>flyovers
pleb
Live action Gundam.
What’s pleb about flyovers?
warhammer 40k
then I would have the time and resources to focus on everything, all the races, all the major and minor conflicts, history, lore, FIGHTS, EVERYTHING MY NIGGER.
By going out to experience life.
This. Also make the ending grimdark, no happy ending Hollywood bullshit. Not like Empire Strikes Back, but put a little victory and struggle in there as a bait and switch fooling the audience into thinking that stupid shit like the Empire will reform or the Tau would be peaceful only to have it subverted.
that is the opposite because that has all been written about already. you need to close yourself off from stuff so you're not influenced by outside sources
No, that's just called being lazy and you know it
Nah, you just have to use sources that is not on the mainstream radar. Go to a library, have conversations with someone older, visit a quarry.
Well yeah, but i'm saying it's more likely to come up with something original since you won't be influenced by things you experienced
Animorphs, Hard R version. Graphic fighting. Full freaky transformations.
Basic premise. A group of teens are gifted the power to transform into any biological life form that they 'acquire' by a alien warrior. He does so to give them a fighting chance against a rival race of aliens, parasites that infest hosts. Who want earth for its large numbers of adaptable, all rounder hosts. What follows is a gorrila, guerilla war as they fight a secret war, hoping that they can slow the invasion long enough for the hero aliens to save the day (and finding out they won't)
I would do a animated version if I were constricted by a budget, but unlimited means a live action version with all the animals and CGI would be totally possible.
The books could vary, some being single episodes, while others are turned into multiple issues. A few of the ghostwritten ones would be skipped.
A man spends his life stealing the DNA of celebrities, then uses it to make clones, and he raises their clones as his own children.
I've always wanted to see a slasher film where the victims are the smartest people in the room. How does a killer lure and trap a detective and a psychologist and a survivalist. Let's say you put these people in the same room - what plan would they come up with to identify and stop the killer and how will the killer be several steps ahead of them?
And as the killer murdered each of them one by one - how will these people react knowing the ambitious and dedicated lives they've led can't help them. In the end, death comes for all and can't be cheated.
Berserk.
Just to see the reaction to the eclipse.
Pay lots of femal celebrities, that are too good fro nudity, too much money for nude/sex scenes that are a 12 hour trilogy movie with some bullshit metaphor meaning for love.
i bet hulu would fund this
I think HBO just stole your idea.
Fund it. Decrease the pool of supreme gentlemen.
This looks nice
I would remake Valerian.
And would make some new Star Wars films. The first one would be shitty, because you've got to clean up the mess. The later ones will be untainted by women.
Heist movie but they're not robbing a bank or a casino. Information is the treasure and a data centre is the target.
>How do I come up with original story ideas guys?
How do I ___ up with original ___ ideas guys?
Fill in the blank. Now try doing it 100 times. Brainstorm. Then you pick your favorite ideas.
It also helps to have a jumping off point. Like taking the titles of James Bond movies, then making them all about food.
Most stories are variations on certain storylines. While some people think this book has ruined movies, you could check out:
tvtropes.org
>In the book Save the Cat! The Last Book on Screenwriting You'll Ever Need, Blake Snyder categorizes movies into ten basic plots.
>Monster in the House
>Out of the Bottle
>Whydunit
>Golden Fleece
>Rites of Passage
>Institutionalized
>Buddy Love
>Superhero
>Dude with a Problem
>The Fool Triumphant
You could also hit Random Trope again and again on TV Tropes for inspiration.
You can also "write what you know." Although Nathan Englander said that's about emotions. It's been said that the 6 basic emotions are anger, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness, surprise. If you know about being lonely, write about a character who's lonely.
Or, Don’t Write What You Know
theatlantic.com
Buddy cop show where they're corrupt cops but every time their scheme fails they and somehow end up looking like heroes.
OR
Origin story for a bond type supervillain, starting from nothing to becoming super rich and powerful head of Spectre-type organisation.
I watch it
the perspective of life from an internet addicted NEET. no bullshit fluff love interest or turns his life around garbage.
7 hour long Dune
and end this era of star wars and startrek shit tier sience fiction.
a documentary following the life of me and my loving gf emma stone until we both die 80 years from now
