the series was pretty dull, but it was worth it to get the background episode on ted. that was one of the best episodes of a tv series i've watched in a while.

Man, my thoughts exactly. I told my buddy he could just watch that episode and he'd be good. I thought the last two were pretty great as well

You mean like the Harvard flashbacks and whatnot?

yea the harvard stuff. they really fucked him up with that.

That was so fucked up. I was getting chills throughout that episode, especially at the end when he was imagining himself with a wife and child

>especially at the end when he was imagining himself with a wife and child

i know this feel ted, i know this feel

Is there anyone as boring as that avatar guy? jesus

could someone explain or summarize this, im intrigued and i love paul bettany as an actor, he’s pretty f’in good.

such a shame it wasnt spread over two episodes

I fucking hated that part. It's shitty that they try to imply there was no ideology nor principles and the issue is that he never fucked.

But I love the trial, my inner conspiratard screamed CIA when I first saw the lawyer offering the reese's bar to Ted. I really doubt that was the intention, but I like to believe that the writers implied that the trial was a final mind fuck operation to Ted.

bump

how big is kaczynski in american popular culture?

Small, but most people have heard of the Unabomber, even if they don't know what he did. Mention the Unabomber and people will either not know anything about him or will think you're talking about McVeigh.

I should clarify, it depends on the age of the person you're talking to. Older people will probably confuse OKC bomber and Unabomber and younger folks will be a bit clueless.

Pretty much just the sketch is a cultural meme

Professor at Harvard was using students in his studies on psychology and manipulation. May or may not have been part of a CIA program. Probably influenced Ted's later actions as the Unabomber.

I was born in 85 and am not so retarded as to confuse the Unabomber and the OKC bomber. My parents knew the difference, my grandparents knew the difference.

I'm primarily speaking of my own experiences as a student discussing the Unabomber's writings with my professors and classmates. Most responses I get when I first mention him are "McVeigh? The Waco guy?" The few I've met who can properly ID him aren't familiar with his ideology, either.

which ones are those

Just one, it's episode six.

I have never even heard people mixing up the Unabomber and Tim until this thread.
