Doesn't have the OST that Genocyber has, but the art style is obviously very similar given the period. I'd say it's better in most respects. Not as much violence (though there is plenty of violence), but lots of sex. And like I said, bizarrely similar now that you brought it up.

Legend of the Overfiend is actually an amazing film. It's notorious because of all the demon sex and rape, but strip that out and what you have is a phenomenally visually inventive horror fantasy movie with action scenes that are unmatched by any big budget CGI I've yet seen. Every other Urotsukidoji anime is dogshit, but the first one is a genuine classic that would be regarded almost as well as Akira if it wasn't for the repeated scenes of teenage girls being sodomised by giant tentacles so hard their heads explode.

Channel 4 named it like number 72 on it's list of all time greatest cartoons, lel.

Channel 4 were kind of right. It certainly pushes boundaries. Imagine being a kid in the early 90s, when people couldn't access unlimited porn and gore on the internet, and watching the VHS of this for the first time. Every single scene is like "OK... surely they aren't going to.... OH SHIT THEY JUST DID IT". It would've blown your mind.
