Superman or The Thing

Probably a tie between Agent Venom and Carnage. Agent Venom because he's probably the most realistic interpretation of a modern hero, with intriguing characterization and life choices. He's had a lot of history to get him where he was before he was undone by shitty writing.

And Carnage because he's so throughly broken and outright pathetic at points, but you can sympathize with him in places. Everything happens for no reason, so he wants to inflict that on others because that's what he felt happened to him. He's a guy who gave up.

C.C. Beck's Captain Marvel.

Unironically Scarecrow

Punisher

Howard the Duck

Unironically one of the best comics Marvel has ever produced.

>one of the best comics Marvel has ever produced.

That's not putting the bar high.

Guy Gardner or Hellboy.

The Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Idol O' Millions.

Either of these two

Jughead. Classic Jughead, not the nuArchie one. Tell me he isn't the greatest character of all time. You can't.

Atomic Robo
The Maxx

Star-Lord. Literally my guy.

Superman or Swamp Thing

I've only read a few comics, a dozen trades, mostly Rebirth. But I genuinely loved Manteau from the Dial H series.

I'm sad they won't appear again.

Hal Jordan

Nightcrawler

What is an ironic favourite?

this

...

Corto Maltese.

Guy is still fucking underrated I swear, he's my favourite too.

In fact, most of the original JLI are great characters, barring Maxwell.

Seconding Hellboy.

Good old Spider-Man.

Gotta go with Agent Venom. I just fell in love with the character.

The Punisher.

It really bums me out that he was so wasted under Bendis.

muh OTP

Definitely Jim Corrigan as the Spectre. Ostrander/Mandrake's run on the Spectre is a god-tier run on comics.
