I think this is the right board to ask so is worth paying for netflix?
I think this is the right board to ask so is worth paying for netflix?
Why don't you get a free trial and decide from yourself.
Don't listen to this redditer
Not really. My wife's son watches all the kids shit on it, but that's about all its good for besides the occasional watching of old trailer park boys.
It's $10 a month. Pay for a month and decide for yourself.
Depends, which country are you from?
USA has a lot more content than Australia.
lolno. their netflix originals are pretty shit. stand up specials are meh. occasionally you get some good movies/documentaries added to the selection but thats about it.
>paying for netflix in current year
>not browsing account leak dumps daily
>is it worth it?
it's already too much if you have to ask, fucking poorfags
no
If you like their series, maybe. Their movie collection is trash.
but of course, go-i mean, user. netflix is the way of the future and great value for money.
Not at all. You're better off running Terrarium TV off an android/kodi box.
where?
>paying
A bunch of shit you've already seen and a hundred mediocre netflix originals. Imagine a video rental store from 2005 and also it has Black Mirror.
>spoon feed me
It's not even hard to find. Try google.
What fucking kids shit?
The irony is you get pissed you're wife's son watches kid shit yet here you are watching the trailer park boys something us canadians stopped watching after highschool.
There's nothing on Netflix.
just make a free trial with every card you got; i used it for free for 7 months
>2018
>paying for moving pictures
No. Only a small fraction of the catalogue will appeal to you and they rarely re-license any titles ever.
Search a movie you actually want to see and chances are you'll only find "Titles related to [kino]". You will never see that movie show up on Netflix again.
I think they're way over the hill at this point with competing streaming services funded by actual studios starting up. They've already begun preparing for this by licensing a shitton of substandard shows and movies from china, korea, and india in order to diversify the audience paying for this. But not even the good shit a casual fan of those country's media would care about.
They also show no interest in improving their fucking hardware either. It is a bandwidth sucking inefficient service and will always be that way.
>my wife’s son
Been cucked by Tyrone, have we?
I got it for Mad Men, it was worth it
Stopped paying for it after 5 years or so in december. Since then they got Black Mirror but dropped Always Sunny, and probably a lot of other good things. It was barely worth it even then. They really make sure to offer you the shittiest shows and take away anything that is "too good."
It had Frasier when I dropped it which was easily the best thing they had.
how new
it's only good for old tv shows with tons of episodes
No.
>they removed any good animated shows
>removed most of their Top Gear seasons and the rest will be gone in a week or two
>will be losing most other shows since everyone is doing their own streaming services
The only thing decent left is an occasional documentary and theyll put a good movie on there once a month.
I dont even use it anymore. I got Hulus HBO app and it blows netflix out of the water.
Netflix is just putting a bunch of their own politically driven PC crap on their service and everything else they make is just terrible.
I used to think amazons prime streaming was bad but its better than Netflix now.
Ill be getting rid of it soon, sad really, it had a good run.
It's worth the free 1 month trial just for castlevania
>go to recently added
>10 holocaust docs, 8 docs about neo nazis and the kkk, 5 docs on how terrible wypipo are, 12 obscure cooking shows and some really weird bollywood crap "Shakir Ballam and Rufufu must dance their way to victory against the witches of the toilet cult"
Save your money
Siege of jadotville and 6 days were pretty good, user. Rest is trash, I agree.
no
Every time I have thought "oh, I should watch X tonight" and search it on Netflix, it is never there. Not once have I found the movie I want.
Luckily I just use my friends account and he just uses it to watch wildlife shit.
The number of originals is becoming so large that this alone could justify the price.
Things like Autoplay, progress sync and downloading on phones makes watching super comfy too.
But in the end it's your decision if it's worth it, sure you could pirate but then the quality is varying depending on the popularity of the show
>He values quantity over quality.
>He thinks Autoplay, progress sync and downloading on phones is a reason to get a subscription.
HAHAHAHA.
to be fair it's quite difficult to get things like that via piracy
Which is best?
Amazon video, Hulu or netflix?
I had a subscription for a year or so. Felt it was worth the money for the duration, and it works pretty good when you feel like watching something but no idea what exactly. After the ~year most of the interesting content to me was exhausted and I barely watched it so I felt no reason to pay them any more. Now I mainly pirate my shows and movies whenever I feel the urge to watch something specific instead of browsing for something to watch.
always depends on the things you want to watch, feature wise they're almost identical.
Amazon has a small price benefit
Also the movie selection is broader and better than on Netflix and Hulu, but not the shows
>implying it's worth the cost for a minor inconvenience.
>minor convenience
pirating became so difficult and fragmented, I don't want to dick around for half an hour just to watch a show and in another language than English or with subtitles if I feel like it
If you live in a first world country torrents are almost a no go, except if you use a VPN. But then again you're paying either way
>difficult
DDL sites are pretty empty if you want something other than Game of Thrones and Marvel movies and other free streaming sites have awful quality (and also page design, everywhere fake buttons and countdown timers)
Why would torrents be a no go?
copyright lawyers, not just ISPs, depends on your country. When you get those letters in my country you have to be extremely careful and you're ignoring them they open a lawsuit against you. This did and does happen. I got out without paying fines, but I had to get a lawyer to write the replies to them, because you can fuck up there really quick
And the court recently declared streaming as illegal and the government raided and arrested Usenet servers owners and users, private trackers are even worse since the details you put in there are damning evidence if they get confiscated by the police
Germany? Doesn't sound very first world country to me.
Ja.
its worth it for all the stand up specials for me. (except for all on the "black people are like THIS" comics, but theyve got thier own audience)
American vandal is kino too
>watching Netflix
>actually paying to watch Netflix
>Terrarium TV
Sure if you want Yify quality movies you fucking retarded cock gargling faggot
>he has 7 credit cards
Good luck owning a home ahahhaha
It's 2018 and people still haven't gotten this meme memo
netflix is the new cable tv. not worth it.
however they have produced decent shows, exceptionally.
I get a free trial everytime my debit card expires and a new one is issued and I'm always disappointed in the choice of movies they have
>Paying for streaming
Their selection is bad anyways. They could have something good and then get rid of it never to return.
