Ha, it keeps the cynicism.

I smiled a bit.

First I've seen Rocko since the 90s, never realized the B52's did the theme.

Looks good.

Animation seems so flat and ridged (which is expected)

>Starbucks is everywhere joke
>Iwhatever joke
>3D glasses
>Dubstep
These jokes would've been outdated five years ago

>in b4 Slammo girls become somebody's waifu

I'm surprised they didn't attack modern comic books/fans enough

...

based

...

They DO have a lot to catch up on.

Shrek 2 made that exact joke 13 years ago.

>"We're not in the 90's anymore"

>Everything still looks 90's as fuck.

This is awesome!

I think they just did it all in about two minutes to get those low hanging jokes out of the way at the beginning.

So it's like the first season where everything just constantly tries to kill Rocko?

I actually liked the later seasons that cut all that out.

This is EXACTLY what I would expect a modern Rocko's to be like. Love it.

Dammit, I enjoyed that more than I thought I would.

Kinda weird seeing it with a cleaner, more vibrant-colored style, somewhat missing the old style of the show.

...

>All the backgrounds are hand painted, just like the original show. So thankful Nickelodeon let us do that! - Cosmo Segursen

The idea of a 90s guy getting Current Year Future Shock is an interesting idea for a book/miniseries but Rocko will not show the full potential of the idea, due to Rocko still being a kids show (no matter how many Risqué moments it has) and Joe Murray's Liberalism

I mean yeah, they got all of the obvious jokes out in 2 minutes, so at least that won't be the total focus.
Animation here generally looks very good, just like it should now. Nothing to complain about, honestly. Even the iPhone 10 joke was kinda funny.

>We're not in the 90's anymore
>immediately does the most tired 90s Starbucks joke

>Computer eating Rocko's brain

I'm surprised they went with Conglomo owning everything in the future instead of having a huge economic downswing in 06 and outsourcing all their jobs to another country.

>theres always one neg here to ruin the vibe

But yeah a liberal can't truly understand whats wrong with the modern era, luckily it is changing.

Looks good. It still has the charm of the old show.

It's the company motto, "We Own You"

Link to the panel please?

I can't wait for them to find out about 9/11 and ISIS.

Wew, I'm surprised it looks almost exactly like the old show. Fucking surreal.

Even those tired jokes can be entertaining with the proper delivery and spin on it, and I did get a laugh or two out of it. I'd actually look forward to more. Just, for the love of god, no memes.

I guess Rocko is about to find out his Life was never that Modern after all!

>expect shit
>receive reboot that feels like the original

So the movie/sequel is what would've happened if they come back from space?

Fuck you, you got a chuckle out of me

...

I HAVE REASON TO LIVE ONCE MORE

Ahead of it's time.

>not calling it Rocko's Post-Modern Life
Ya blew it.

>due to Rocko still being a kids show
>Rocko
>kids show

it looks fucking amazing
theres allways one...

Was hoping for the new motto to be something about bailouts or too big to fail

wait so conglomo is out of bussiness?

...

Perfection isn't something you actually achieve but always try to reach.

>HEY GUYS THE 90'S WERE WAY BETTER THAN TODAY LOOOOOOOOL DAE 90'S?????

I like it, it's like they never left.

Thats not the point asshole. Filburt and Heffer love it, Rocko doesn´t. It shows both sides.

but the whole trailer is about all the cool things since the 90s
what did shitposter-kun mean by this?

vocaroo.com/i/s16fOsDYuDnp

Needs a
>Heffer discovers internet porn
episode

At least the 90s had a style to it. Everything these days feels like it's designed by committee.

I think the point of that montage was to make all the dated jokes to get them out of the way.

>20 years have passed, but I do not age
>gotta get back, back to the 90s
>Rocko's modern life

How abut one where Filburt meets hipsters who pretend to be nerds because being nerdy is trendy

I am looking forward to all the new smut

But why is it called Static Cling?

It's weird seeing Rocko in a modern widescreen format and 1080p, so much of its 90s-ness was tied down to its presentation. Not complaining though, it looks absolutely bang-on

I hope they have a gag where the aspect ratio increases when they wake up in the present or some shit

>Animation seems so flat and ridged

Looked perfectly fine to me.

kek

The 90s was the last decade America actually felt hopeful about anything. The internet was taking off, the economy was better, 9/11 hadn't happened yet and race relations were better than they are now. It had it's problems too, of course, but my generation watched first hand the country's morale go to shit.

>Everything these days feels like it's designed by committee.

The second half of the 90's was basically this, though.

this will probably be better than the new season of samurai jack, considering they have less chances of fucking it up.
>It sucks: We still had the original, the show never had an overarching story
>Its great: Rocko is still amazing 10 years later

Right with ya, Rocko; I also miss the 90s.

Now that was a quality reboot.

A+

Rocko's clinging to the past?

would be better if RRBM had more tacticool lines all over his costume

...

I loved Rocko and Im glad they are bringing him back. I genuinely want to see the new episodes. First time I have looked forward to anything new in the entertainment industry in years.

>That grimdark Really Really Big Man

I went into this skeptical, certain I would hate it like most other reboots. But I kinda dug it. It managed to dig under my wall of cynicism.

Or if they removed his shorts.

The name comes up in an s1 episode, think it was a product advertised on the TV Rocko was watching or something

>reboot
>when the footage feels like it picks up where it left
wut

Snapping Really Really Bad Man's neck

>tfw BvS was the first thing that came to mind.

you fools, thats not really really big man. thats really really REALLY big an

Or if he had some kind of body armor

NANI?!

It's a tv movie. Though I imagine Nick isn't trying out all these 90s revivals for just some quick views on their network, they're probably floating the idea of some modern continuations rather than reboots.

Most other cartoon reboots have come from CN from what I can tell. I'm willing to give someone else a chance.

pretty much

thats exactly what they where making fun of tho. How comics have turned way too serious nowadays.

Oh sweet summer wallaby...

>10 years later
I wish.

...

...

Youngfag here, how did the show end?

I did watch the show thanks to reruns, but I don't think I ever got to see the way it ended

IIRC, it never really had an ending.

I can't say many of the 90's nicktoons had much of endings. From what I can tell, execs wanted kids to keep tuning in so they didn't want to tell them the shows were over.

Angry Beavers wanted to have a proper finale, but weren't allowed to.

>Cosmo Segurson
I wonder what other Camp Lazlo people that weren't on the original rocko were involved

The final episode was Rocko, Heffer and Wilbur ending on space or something

>Angry Beavers wanted to have a proper finale, but weren't allowed to.

Wasn't that because they were going to go full meta about it?

I think i speak for everyone here when i say the animation/artstyle is DISGUSTING. It doesn't fit Rocko at all

ye. i doubt they actually planned to air it, it was more of a fuck you to nickelodeon.

Where's the Tumblr Hippo.

It was a fun clip even if the animation did have those vector-y lines I'm not too fond of. I only hope they're holding off the original jokes for later since a lot of this already felt like tired punchlines.

I can't really imagine this being longer than a 2 minute revive clip. What the hell are they gonna putz around with for 60 minutes that isn't just references?

>rocko somehow ends up on hippo's ass
>gets sued for rape

I...I think it's done with Cell animation.

>vocaroo.com/i/s16fOsDYuDnp
dammit this got me hard, good show, full points, get into show business right now this minute
