Twin-Pack Storytime of Pain: This SDCC Weekend is Not Complete without EXTREME

SDCC Storytime of Pain Series Day Three is ON!

Every 2nd and/or 22nd day of the month in the calendar, there will be a storytime of the first two issues (each) of two random semi-ongoing comics and/or miniseries.

Previous storytimes: desuarchive.org/co/search/subject/Twin-Pack Storytime

This is the first time a Twin-Pack Storytime has a participation in an SDCC SoP Weekend. Today, the focus is on EXTREME STUDIOS, on the obscure side. Oh well, last Thursday, notable personages from that studio including Rob Liefeld held a 25th anniversary panel at SDCC.

Remember to bump for readers/while reading.

Any storytime requests that are not 2-issue series must be done somewhere else. Thank you.

Did you know that Battlestone, ex-Youngblood and ex-Brigade leader who emphasizes the "anti" in "anti-hero," has his own solo series? That's about his brainwashing after he was recaptured by the government. It is set before the "Extreme Sacrifice" crossover.

Oh, and the artist for that series, Marat Mychaels, proposed to his girlfriend in the same Extreme Studios panel!

Man, this art is so bad

The 90s were a bad time

Yet it was the highest grossing time for comics until the bubble burst in 96-97. I still do not understand how comics sold so well back then.

Amazing

>Two years later...
Prophet & Chapel? They are the two most well-known EXTREME STUDIOS male characters whose names have to do with Christianity. And yes, they got a standalone team-up book!

He seems to be that guy who just plays lolrandom edgy characters.

The only time I ever played DnD had one of those. Just a complete psychopath. Killing hostages, cutting people's heads off as trophies (in a modern day setting), etc.
