Seems allright so far.

But my EXTREME storytime came first user.

...

...

So there is some sort of super strong projection he can make around him.
I would say this should be interesting but it's a storytime of pain so I would probably be wrong.

...

M E N A C I N G

...

...

>no background on the text boxs
I get what they were going for but I don't think it works.

...

>main character meets foe in a staircase
>stand user
this reminds me of something but i cant quite pin-point it

...

...

>Black
>has a lightning stand

What did Joe mean by this?

...

...

...

I am guessing the projections are stands.
I think the later parts of jojos I have yet to watch have something called stands which would explain.

THIS MUST BE THE WORK OF AN ENEMY 「STAND」

doesnt know Jojo

...

...

>villain is a blind man with a cane who can manipulate liquids to kill his enemies
Im starting to see some similarities with some other work i've read

...

...

I watched the first two parts. Haven't watched the rest yet.

So where's the Pain?
Just because something is a JoJo rip-off doesn't make it bad.

...

...

Dragon Ball?

...

...

Oh I like the idea here.

So when does the dog die?

>Violence against dogs
This is what really proves that this is a Jojo reference. Araki hates dogs.

>No similarity to any character(s) and/or place(s) intended, and any similarities are purely coincidental.
>purely coincidental
The fucking audacity of it.

...

>master of dragons
the fuck does this has to do with dragons?

Never mind, shoulda refreshed sooner

Was this written before part 6? Cause I'm getting soon Jolene vibes here.

The justification that he was just trying to bring Jojo to the west is the cherry on top to me.

Part 6 started in 2000, Diesel was published in '97

3 years before Stone Ocean. The stand in gave me Stone Free vibes.

So I am getting the feeling this is a giant ripoff of jojos.
What part does it rip off because I have watched up until the defeat of the pillar men and none of this is familar to me.

Diesel rips-off Part 3 - Stardust Crusaders, after the Pillar Men. More specifically he's ripping-off the OVA adaptation of Part 3.

Part 3. The fight with the stand-user at the end of this issue is an almost 1:1 rip-off of the N'Doul fight from about halfway through Part 3.

Yeah. Would explain why I could not understand how this was deserving of the title.

Oh Antarctic Press, you bring shame to all Texan weebs.

>We will never find out what Ronnie James' stand was

First interesting design yet.

As someone who's read and watched more JoJo than you, I don't understand why this is a SoP.
The art isn't terrible, the story actually is a little different from part 3, and it does a good job of setting up an arc.
If being a rip-off would be enough to qualify for a SoP then break out Squadron Supreme, Supreme Power, Countdown Presents: The Extremists, Prowler, Watchmen, Supreme, and the entirety of Image's cape comics.

i wonder what would people prefer more:
this or the egg baby

yeah not to suck nuts or anything but if this was a fully completed thing I'd totally read it maybe not unironically or anything because of how funny it is but still I'm into it.

what is the egg baby?

was waiting for this

>the egg baby
CLAMP was a mistake.

NANI?!

Thanks.

Stand is written as "ghostly dragon" in bootleg. The series that came before Diesel used dragons instead of stands.

The egg baby gives us material for jokes.
Diesel not so much.
Doujin were Kakyoin lays an egg. And Jotaro is the father.

>Sequel never

OBOI DAZE

>Tfw gotten to the point where I've built up several concepts of Stands and ideas strongly related to JoJo and want to implement them into a story
>Don't want to because it would basically be a JoJo knockoff in of itself
How do I be original?

You gotta message Antarctic Press and try to get them to do more stealing.

nah, they are way busy with "Steam" Wars

Just write fanfiction.
At least it'll get it out of your system and out into the internet world.

Hahahaha these guys still find a way to amuse me.

Take the jojo ideas and give them a distinct spin.
Instead. Instead of punchy ghosts that are a manifestation of their psyche. Make them separate beings that latch onto people with similar ideals or ambitions.
And yes it's a pun.

maybe if you ask Antarctic Press to revive Diesel
Or Marvel buy Jojo

I don't know why, but I have this gut feeling this totally unrelated music fits somehow

>What a Cheap Trick

ZA WARUDO

Surprised Dale Keown did not sue the fuck out of this publisher.

Do crossovers.
I hear /mlp/ has a jojo thread.

>Watched

Get out

That bottom pannel is silly as fuck.

This coulda been good.

I'm actually fascinated by what a western publisher would do with the concept of stands. I've had some ideas for a more amero-centric arc myself and I think it would be really cool to see other people's ideas.

He does seem rather okay with the direction his life is going there

Yeah, I almost wish this would have had more issues just to see if he went in his own direction or just kept copying.

Yeah, this isn't bad to tell the truth.

To be fair, a lot of elements of JJBA isn't typical of a shounen fighting manga, espeically the later parts.

SBR is set in America and I think western comic readers would probably like it (apart from maybe near the very end where it became obvious he was rushing to finsih it to write the next part). It's still the best part so far but JJL might end up being better than it depending on how it ends.

Sorry for your shit taste.

Dammit I really wanna find this online to storytime this weekend.

Because artists rarely sue for blatant tracing of thier original work.

[BUMP]

Are we saving the best for the last day-
The comic with all the naked women running around eating people and shit. The fuck was it called again?

Where I have I seen this character and almost all of the art relating to it before....? Hmmm...

Girls

Girls.
Surprised it hasn't been posted.
It's one of the longer stories for SOP.

Parts 1 and 2 are literally miles better as anime. You get out.
