Also haven't seen Altered Carbon yet but I was intrigued when I saw a new sci-fi series. Not sure if it's for me though if this is the kind of message they'll be pushing throughout.

Bump

women are useless and incapable of being leaders

am i supposed to know who this is? idc

>(((Goldsberry)))
Every. Single. Time

no it's good, that isn't pushed, she just happens to be a warrior woman type. At least I thought as much

Actress in a new Netflix show

basically fantasy shows?

I love supposedly inspirational quotes that you can adequately respond to simply by asking "why?".

in my opinion scifi/ cyberpunk is the only genre where "strong womyn dont need no man" work

Mama's boys don't grow up to accomplish anything.
Only boys who grow up in a stable two-parent household have a hope of making it in life.

Woman don't have missions. The idea of having a goal to work towards is inherently masculine. Woman don't work towards a goal, they demand the effect of the goal from men.

Well we need more fantasy. LotR and GoT are great, but we need more.

Oh? Real world you say. Well no. That's just stupid :D Like something women would say.

Watching the first episode now. My eyes rolled at the portrayal of "Spirits not sleeves"

women can’t be leaders

She basically described Holdo, if you think about it: undeservingly pushed in role that belonged to a straight male, the plot makes it obvious you cannot question a social justic female warrior just because she looks like a fucking clown.

I wish that were true

It's true, them being put in positions of power doesn't make them leaders. Can you actually trust a secretary of defense that has never fired a gun with the intention of murdering a human being? No.

Alright I've reached the bit with the blonde milf and her visible nipples

They're good at other things. Not everything about life revolves around murder you know.

Why are all women so filled with an unearned sense of entitlement?
I will never understand this. If you want more movies with mary sue women saving the world make them yourselves.

Feel free to make such films, but I won't watch them.
-- A man

I'm finding the liberal use of the word fuck in random sentences to be extremely edgy so far

Me on the right

We don't see that in real life, ever, so why see it in fiction? You think it will happen if you push it hard enough in tv shows and movies? Go ahead, it won't change a thing.

Except war is about money and murder. Women know nothing about making money, even less about murder.

>Women know nothing about making money
Tittystreaming says otherwise.
They will always be able to make money for as long as weak men want their vagene.

I'm just tired of race/gender baiting

What's with women and niggers making dumb demands like these?

Movies tend to be grounded in reality insofar as they reflect the society we live in. We'll see the movies she speaks of when women actually apply themselves to the degree that men do.

The idea of this show seems decent and interesting but there are so many things that take me out of it and it's trying to hard to be like Blade Runner without any of the understatedness of that art style

Maybe women should be more competent leaders so they aren't so unbelievable in that role.
I hate this forcing diversity in media until you trick people into thinking it's normal narrative

>it's trying to hard to be like Blade Runner without any of the understatedness of that art style

>We want this
>But we don't want to do the hard work and make it ourselves

Nah.
Given that a lot boys are being raised by single mothers, they see first hand that women are incompetent at any type of leadership.

How hard is it to not have a kid our of wedlock, jesus fucking christ.
How horrible do you have to be for a man to abandon his son just to get away from you?

No, because if you're limiting movies to one goal and one purpose then you might as well give up on it being an artistic medium in general and just admit you're making propaganda.

>The only reason men abandon their children is because they hate the mother
Yeah, it's never that the guy can't take responsibility for his actions and decides to run away because he doesn't want to raise a child.

Meanwhile, in reality, women are having mental breakdowns because they are asked to drive a fucking car in a movie.

It's true though

Here's a tip to women and their white knights: If a man expressed no interest in fatherhood, you shouldn't assume he'll stay if a woman gets pregnant. Women are quick to remind us that consent to sex is not consent to parenthood

nah bro

Too bad when she was actually given the opportunity to play such a role she gave a shit performance.

You can't win a war by letting all your enemies fuck you.

>if it happens in fiction it will happen in reality

humanity was a mistake

The main character feels very Reddit

Bump

Yes. Letting minorities have some lead roles is good for society. The Scully effect is real.

All art reflects the opinions of the creator to some degree. Art has never been divorced from politics.

Wouldn't this line of thinking relegate women to the role of the living womb and therefore render them obsolete in a high tech society depicted in the show?

Probably

My point was you shouldn't force artists to make the messages and politics you specifically want to see in the art, which is the impression I get from people like in the OP's picture. It's fine if she wants to make a movie like that herself, but expecting other filmmakers to do it for her is just asinine.

But actress still needs to know how to act.

>we need more female leaders
Kek, ask Disney how they feel about Kathleen. Or ask Yahoo shareholders how they feel about the tumblr acquisition. Or ask Hillary.

>We need to see worlds in which the man...has one mission in life, and that is to satisfy the vision and mission of the woman
More femdom than feminism desu, i’m all for it.

arkancide.com/
Yeah, because need more arkancide in our politics

Actor aren't artists, they're garbage people.

>black women in charge

OH NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
