What was it about Wendy having so little development and backstory, yet seeming to be the most likable character in the show? Also Wendy Thread.

She was likable because she was too bland to have any flaws that matter

>red nose

Do you have a problem with underage drinking?

Why she a cute?

It's a "platonic love" by a main character, so why the little backstory and/or dev...
It's sad.

Yeah. It leads to immature people ruining art.

She was an attractive character who led to /ss/ fantasies, that's why

Because despite being underused and underdeveloped, a mischievous slacker with apocalypse training is much more appealing then a stock rich bitch that keeps having to relearn lessons of humility or a self-centered sugar queen that gets away with everything and doesn't really change despite being one of the main characters of the show.

She had significant development and a sufficient backstory. I'm not sure what you're on about, OP.

Wendy's cool and all, but if you think she's a more interesting character than Pacifica or Mabel you're off your rocker.

Honestly, none of them are especially interesting. Alex can't really write girls

What are you on about? No she didn't.

>attractive appearance
>"cool older teen" personality
>hirsch didn't care about her so he didn't bother writing an episode for her which, given hirsch's track record with female characters, would have ruined her

Because when you have the chill, laid back girl archetype, they almost always fall into the role of general love interest which is very hard to escape from. They don't necessarily deserve hatred, but there's little to keep you engaged.

Of course, she's better than a certain other example that Sup Forums seems to have a hate boner for right now...

>yet seeming to be the most likable character in the show
She took advantage of Dipper's feelings she was always aware of to make him do favors for her. She also was a whore who dated numerous guys and didn't even bother breaking up with one of them who still thought they were together and proceeded to ignore him.

Wendy is a shit.

I'm not sure if she did it consciously, though. Regardless, that's actually the main reason I support Dipcifica - it's a relationship of equals.

She specifically said she broke up with Robbie, and he didn't contradict her. The fact that he couldn't get over it doesn't mean it wasn't official.

>/ss/
She's, like, a year or two older than Dipper. He's just short.

>Sup Forums seems to have a hate boner for
It's, at worst, 1-2 shitposters baiting other morons.

Women are NOT interesting. What Sup Forums calls interesting females is either waifu shit or Men with Breasts. I swear if you idiots were forced to endure a regimen of ONLY females being written realistically in ALL media including live action you would all kill yourselves unable to stomach reality.

Men always inject values that women lack in female characters to get by.

>Men always inject values that women lack in female characters to get by.

examples?

Not Robbie, it was another guy in a quick gag. She was listing all the guys she dated to Mabel, and remembers she forgot to break up with one and when that guy calls her at the end she proceeds to ignore the call.

This is entirely true.

>Dipper comes back the next summer.
>He goes looking for Wendy.
>Dipper had a growth spurt over the winter.
>Dipper wants to show off that he has doubled in height.
>Much to his surprise, so has Wendy.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. But was it ever confirmed it was the same guy?

*American women are not interesting.

Go out and travel, user.

Who hurt you? and why are you not on /r9k/ right now?

Her height isn't the only thing that's doubled.

I wonder what her job will be when she grows up.

That looks painful.

Demolition expert, probably nonchalantly lighting dynamite off of a cigar in her mouth like a badass.

...

She's a lumberjack; she's okay.

she's a diet Marceline
except Marceline got developed and now Sup Forums hates her
Wendy never got past the hints and small lines and there is more room for waifufags to make headcanons

All of them are interesting, but Wendy just happens to have a personality type that is less so.

There are numerous references to her family and childhood, and she develops from chill love interest to badass big sister-type character over the course of the show.

I like to think she's a prostitute that fucks asian tourists.

Pretty much this.

>muh character flaws
Oh, fuck off already TV Tropes.

What the fuck does that have to do with TV Tropes?

/ss/?

No.

I still don't know what caused all the recent Jackie hate recently.

3-5 star threads per day mostly centered around shipping

Having Dipper get reinfatuated with her after the Bunker ruined the slim chance of her being more than his unattainable dream girl

My guess is the overreaction from jackiefags about her squandered "potential" after she was absent from both the intro and the movie

Don't pick on her, she's homeless

But I didn't like her?

>Design
Didn't like the hat
>Personality
Didn't like cool, lazy, and nonchalant traits
>Relationships
Didn't like her interactions with Dipper, Robbie, or Mabel
>Backstory
Didn't have one?
>Character Arc
Didn't have one?
>Plot
Dragged it down with the cliche Dipper storyline and rarely contributed herself.

She's physically attractive. And her VA is fine.

Jealousy and the dawning realization that you've wasted your teenage years.

This honestly happened to me as soon as Bon Bon aired
Within the past month I've taken up skateboarding and, after exploring the Western States, spent a few days in the Venice Beach area.
I'm 21.
Is there something wrong with me

If you're dead serious?
You're not that old, in some cases 21 year olds still feel a lot like teenagers.
I'd tone down a bit if I were you- if all that's true you sound like you're trying too hard to BE Jackie

I love this meme where one guy will samefag and make a ton of hate threads for one particular character, ban evade, and then try and say its all of Sup Forums who follows their opinion!

Yeah, early 20s can still be pretty similar. It's mid-to-late 20s when it's really too late for a lot of shit.

Like what? What can't you do once you reach like 24?

If you're seriously asking this, you're probably not old enough to even post here.
(Which means you're likely just trolling.)

not trolling

Life after mid-20s for the vast majority of people is almost entirely work, if they can even get it. Pretty much all the fun stuff is for before then.

Yes
Jackie will never be real

Beg to differ

I'm in love
