No idea, it was pretty decent.
Some good effects and decent actors, but that was about it. Pacing was clunky and the movie feels padded. Deep Rising did it better
IM GONNA HAVE ME SOME FUN
It's basically The Thing on a boat.
well whatever, this image is bad ass
>Deep Rising and Virus
I would rather see the "stranded with the mysterious enemy on a boat" genre get beaten to death rather than the capeshit and disaster genres.
Goddamn Deep Rising was great
>the ottoia are very crafty...
The body horror in this movie is pretty top notch.
Oh hey this was filmed in my hometown
Yeah, except the awful direction, pacing, acting...
Watched it recently. Could have been a cult movie. That Baldwin guy was retarded. Editing and pacing seemed off.
Your hometown is a derelict ship?
They even made toys for this movie
No, Wilmington NC - nice sized film studio there
The movie is shit but the special effects are unreal. Where as a movie like The thing has great effects and it's pure kino.
who would these toys even appeal to?
Kids
Do you really think kids gave a shit about the brand of certain toys? Of course not, they looked at what was cool and wanted it.
Because special effects don't make a good movie.
Because all the good stuff happens in the first half of the film. The second half is all about that shitty CGI guardian robot endlessly chasing after Jamie Lee and Baldwin, getting shot at and squealing like a pig.
Speak for yourself. I was all about Lego, Star Wars, Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers and Batman when I was a kid.
Isn't this the one with a Maori dude in it and he starts performing a Haka at one of the cyborgs?
