>you can learn from your mistakes
but recent research shows that the ability to learn from your mistakes isn't an inherent quality of human beings or any other organisms and plenty of people consistently make the same mistakes.

>fear failure more than they desire success
This is simply wrong. Fearing failure is MORE powerful than desiring success in terms of motivating individuals. What ACTUALLY happens is that people do not define success, and by proxy also do not define failure, and aren't motivated because they can live in a vague no man's land where they can take solace in the fact they don't explicitly know they're failing and there's a possibility they might be succeeding. The strongest motivation possible comes from defining success and failure and both wanting and fearing them, respectively.

The idea that fearing failure inhibits people is absurd.

y-yeah, why would anyone fear having their own insecurities reinforced by failure? That's absurd.

On a somewhat related note, any comics that aren't capeshit that are dark comedies?
