If there was one thing Chris Columbus’ Harry Potter movies did well, it was their casting. Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Richard Harris and Robbie Coltrane were perfect picks for their characters.

OP back, my personal favorite post ITT. Also Goodman had existing American Dad cred through Roseanne, hence the perfect casting.
My personal favorite bit of casting is Gregory Peck as Atticus, and I'm deeply gratified that other anons have recognized the excellence of this choice. To Kill a Mockingbird overall is in my opinion the best-cast film that I'm aware of.
