yes, the prequels were easily the best films

he didn't say he liked it either

Liking any of the starwars is a soy detector if you're under the age of like 40. same goes for superhero movies at any age

Name one scene in attack of the clones or phantom menace and explain with properly articulated arguments what makes it better than the force awakens or the last jedi

I think the prequels are very interesting artefacts of a particular point in moviemaking and there’s something to love about all of them. I still think podracers are great and a stand-alone pod racing movie deserves to be made.
I also find the plunked reviews very funny and entertaining and insightful as to how a movie should ‘generally’ be assembled.

They are original

original =/= good

ewan mccgregor makes the prequels better

Obi wan riding a lizard in pursuit of grievous actually serves the plot whereas Finn and Rose breaking into the casino, being arrested for a parking violation and then destroying the casino with racehorses didn’t really accomplish anything at all.

That's like saying The Last Jedi is good because it "took risks" and "subverted expectation."

the prequels are soooo fucking reddit.
STOP WATCHING STAR WARS

Prequel hating was a meme created by Disney to pressure George into selling. They're actually really good.

reddit hates the prequels

Not really. The entire escapade on Utapau to kill Grievous didn't really fulfill anything in the grand scheme of things.

especially now that the sequels are out

Anyone who didn't cream their pants the first time they saw this scene is a fag.

It's the ultimate indicator that you're able to realize when a movie fails mostly because of terrible acting, messed up pacing and very poorly done green/blue screen effects.

Disneywars sucks, but the prequels also suck. It's actually possible for both things to be true at the same time. They weren't even that well received on the outset, this isnt some new wave movement or something.

>Sup Forums is so contrarian they are defending the prequels now

yah I say this alot. prob one of my fav movie experiences as a kid. I remember going to starwars dot com and downloading the dual of fates mov music video. took hours to download.
in fact my first mp3 was dual of fates loaded on winamp.

what a time to be alive.

You don't really know that. Not defeating Grievous might have led to major problemd later on. On top of that, the prequep trilogy isn't all about "grand schemes of things", instead from the get go it has lots of small jobs that Qui-Gon and Obi and later Anakin fullfill. The theme of the PT was, I'd say, purposely different from the theme in thr OT, which was pretty much an epic, thus everything had to do with big, lots of shit altering missions.

So the PT isn't about grand stuff, but still most sruff at least amounts to something. Obi sets put to stop GG, and he does. That's the big difference to the NuTrilogy. TFA serves to introduce new characters and get rid of old ones, and it does an ok job at it. But TLJ, oh boy, literally everything anyone tries to do is in vain. Pretty much nothing succeeds. The only achievement at the end is that Ray managed to steal the books, which makes her quite the snitch going against Luke like that. It not only makes Ray more unlikeable, it also managed to completely destroy the characters of Luke, Leia, Poe and Finn, shat on the lore like there's no tomorrow and introduces an ugly chink that does more harm than good throughout the movie. TLJ is LITERALLY a waste if time.

>These are the goblins that insult others with "soyboy"

Darth Maul versus Obi-Wan fight choreography, pod racing, bad ass and memorable Naboo blaster and droideka sounds, Padme costumes, memorable aliens we care about like Nute Gunray and Sebulba, Sheev.

AOTC was trash, though.

el ogro de las americas..

that guy is french look at who he's standing next to

based aussie bantz

...

Any argument with a prequelfag that lasts long enough will boil down to something about Disneywars or something about special effects

Prequels were shit in the way a meal made by a totally incompetent chef who accidentally burns everything and mixes salt with sugar is shit.

With the nuwars we were just served real shit and told it was good because it wasn't what we expected.

No. But it is an indicator for who is still a brainwashed normie or not.
