This worth watching anons?

This worth watching anons?

Not really

yeah, its a b movie, but a good one.

Has it's flaws, but it's classic

Drop a couple tabs and RIP

Literally just watched it, its okay but kinda wasted potential.

Yes.

If you liked Into The Mouth of Madness then yes.

Otherwise you probably wont enjoy it.

I like it. It's not the best but it's really fun.

If you're a Warhammer 40K fan, this movie is basically a prequel to the setting.

Yes.
I won't explain why.
Just go watch it.

yes

i liked it

FUCK THIS SHIP

People downplay how much comedy there is in this movie but yes, it's worth a watch.

>Warhammer 40K
>basically a prequel to the setting.

Uhhhhhhhhhh what?

here we go again

Yes. It's really good and one of the best horror movies I've seen. It sucks we will never see the directors edition. There is just something about this movie that makes it so much more horrifying than those movies with those fucking girl ghosts and nuns and so on.

why snek drink water?

>Gayhammer fag enters the thread to shill his manchild hobby

every time

bcuz he thristy

i would fuck that snake.

hognose is top-tier snek

snek are not for lewd

Its a perfect midnight movie. It's not a great movie, but the miniatures and practical effects look great. The sets are 11/10. The mystery of the previous crew delivers some iconic spoop moments. Based Sam Neil being a gigantic ham is always worth watching.
It's the kind of movie that if it's kind of late, but you don't feel like going to bed yet, and its on, you wont mind rewatching it.

dude pauldrons lmao

Their warp drives operate on the same principal as the event horizon - its a shortcut through hell that usually ends up killing a significant portion of the crew, driving more mad, and just generally being fucking awful.

Definitely worth a watch I would say.

It's not a perfect movie by any stretch, but the plot and story are enough to hold a person there for sure.

This movie scares me quite a bit, something about being out in the endless void where there's no one to help or even hear you scream, millions and millions of miles away from home.

Don't really like this part a out 40k that every ship you see going through warp spends months in it and people in it barely survive. Would be better if it's something that can happen if the warp fails but otherwise everything is normal.

There's a popular fan theory that Event Horizon takes place in the same setting as Warhammer 40K.

In Warhammer 40K, interstellar travel requires traveling through the Warp (also known as Chaos), a dimension of pure psychic energy ruled by the Chaos Gods and their demonic servants. Traveling through the Warp without a type of technology called a Gellar Field exposes the crew of the ship to attack by the demons.

So the theory goes that the Event Horizon entered the Warp, and the crew was driven completely insane by the horrors they saw there. When the Event Horizon returned to "realspace" (our dimension), they brought back a demonic entity that haunted the ship, and that's where we start during the events of the film.

The warp was discovered when the Imperium was established tho

Over the top to the point of literal retardation is kind of 40k's thing. It's like "that kid" created the lore for a science fiction universe.

Not user here, but I think I know what he means. The way the ship travels through a wormhole that basically turns out to be hell, is pretty much in line with the concept of Immaterium in WH40K. Evil in the movie does seem to work in a very similiar fashion to Chaos. And the technology more or less corresponds to the Stellar Exodus period in WH40K timeline (with the exception of the Event Horizon, but it's a one of a kind ship).
So I guess you can argue that it's an unofficial prequel.

I wouldnt mind a sequel to this to be honest.

tahnk u

watch hellraiser in space and use your imagination

Thats more than a prequel. In terms of the 40k timeline, the Event Horizon would be ancient ol world history.

I have lol

It's pretty much Sphere but in space and worse.
Watch both desu

It's nothing like sphere, what are you talking about?

Matrix: the prequel

gib sexy snek gf

>you will NEVER get to see the original cut with the incredibly over the top gore portrayed with pornstars and amputees

Also for a shit movie, it's pretty fun.

replace the underwater research station with space exploration research vessel
replace sphere with wormhole
they go through it
people start to go insane/see visions/etc
everyone dies

wow it's the same story arc

yes. you know what isn't? it's absolutely inferior 1/10 clone, cloverfield paradox

It's sad that we'll never get to see the original cut of the film because the footage was damaged. 30 minutes longer, with levels of horror and gore that would warrant a NC-17 rating.

I'm watching EH right now for the fuck of it
Both movies literally even have a fucking scene describing a wormhole and by using a piece of paper and shoving a pencil through it. I'm just saying
