The past. Young T'Challa attends college and is mentored by Professor N'Jobu.
The present. T'Challa returns to Wakanda to become king after the events of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR.
M'Baku, the chieftain of the anti-technology mountain tribe, challenges him to a duel for the throne, but is defeated.
T'Challa wants to keep Wakanda hidden. His ex-girlfriend Nakia, a spy, believes they should help the outside world. She locates weapons dealer Klaw in Korea trying to sell Vibranium.
T'Challa, Nakia and Okoye, Wakanda's military leader, head there and run into CIA agent Everett Ross. T'Challa captures Klaw and surrenders him to Ross.
Killmonger rescues Klaw. They are in cahoots. Killmonger is T'Challa's half-brother. T'Challa's father exiled Killmonger's father - his best friend - when they attempted an uprising.
Killmonger is captured and is brought before T'Challa. He wants to use Vibranium to lead a global black uprising against white people for oppressing them.
T'Challa's best friend W'Kabi betrays him and supports Killmonger alongside the rest of his tribesmen.
Killmonger challenges T'Challa to a duel for the throne. T'Challa loses and is presumed dead. Killmonger claims the throne and kills Klaw.
T'Challa survives and goes on a spiritual journey, visiting the city of the dead and being advised by the spirits of the previous Black Panthers.
Meanwhile, Nakia, Okoye, T'Challa's sister Shuri, their mother Ramanda, and Ross convince M'Baku and his tribesman to stop Killmonger and his loyalists.
The two armies battle outside the Vibranium mines. T'Challa shows up, but it turns out Killmonger got his own suit. They fight inside the mines while their respective followers battle outside.
Killmonger dies. W'Kabi surrenders. T'Challa and M'Baku reach an agreement. T'Challa and Nakia renew their relationship.
T'Challa visits N'Jobu in Atlanta and realizes the outside world needs their help.
First stinger is T'Challa announcing that Wakanda will share its technology with the world and make it better.
Second stinger is Shuri visiting Bucky, who is cured of his brainwashing and living in Wakanda. He's known as "The White Wolf".
Tyler Butler
Bullshit
Christian Cruz
It's true.
Samuel Carter
>BP is fighting his father's wife's son lmao fucksake, if it was a rape baby or the son from another mother it'd be more proper
Asher Myers
But it is. Black Panther's father fucked his best bro's wife then told him and the kid to fuck off.
Adrian Parker
oh that's better, i thought it was his wife's son from a previous marriage or some shit
Joshua Mitchell
i cant follow along. too many nigger names.
Caleb Garcia
>First stinger is T'Challa announcing that Wakanda will share its technology with the world and make it better. doesnt this kinda changes one of the most interesting things about BP? And ruins the remainder of the world if everyonne has amazing tech?
Leo Gray
Funny enough, the sister was BP's father's daughter in the comics, but the movie cut the middleman and just made them straight-up siblings.
Andrew Perez
>Villain is anti-white and anti-colonialist >Not only is defeated, gets killed by main character Why didn't Sup Forums tell me this movie was based?
Julian Brooks
Very realistic movie, representation of black family dynamics is on point.
Elijah Jenkins
His character arc revolves around realizing he has responsabilities to the entire world, not just Wakanda. It's different, but is interesting.
Plus they're not going to give up the good tech straight-up.
Nolan Nguyen
Truly revolutionary. Stunning and brave!
Josiah Sanchez
It's a tragic death, though.
Samuel Carter
i dont get it they're so advanced yet still so tribal i can get it if it's like a culture thing, but i still think it's dumb
Nathan Jenkins
But isn't his tragic flaw that he hates white people? Seems like a good message to me...
Benjamin Bailey
nothing will come of it. such tech would be too transformative so in the interest of future stories they will do nothing
Adam Ward
>he has responsabilities to the entire world meh at least the isolationist thing using a scifi trope kinda symbolized a interesting inwards take on superheroes, "we should see to ourselves first before saving others".
putting colonialist themes to a black hero (ie 'saving the world'/ white man's burden universalism) feels really castrated
Nicholas Phillips
Sounds accurate. I guess it'll be one of the better MCU origin stories. Still a little too Iron Man-sque tho.
Colton Barnes
yeah that's what i'd assume. It's like Tony giving everyone nano suit tech and ruining a fuckload of story pontentials
Jeremiah Hill
>Killmonger claims the throne and kills Klaw. won't even watch the yify rip
Isaac Ramirez
They're advanced because they have a monopoly on an extremely useful resource. It's like Middle East oil states on steroids.
Daniel Barnes
The movie presents his grievances not as wrongful, but as misguided.
He also asks to be buried at sea, where his ancestors jumped from slaver ships because they'd rather choose death over slavery.
Jordan Sanchez
>First stinger is T'Challa announcing that Wakanda will share its technology with the world and make it better Just ruined the character right there. Most of the other stuff sounds interesting though like the spiritual journey and the villain's motivations and backstory.
>Bucky, who is cured of his brainwashing and living in Wakanda. He's known as "The White Wolf" Stupid fan service
Tyler Richardson
skipable i even tldr it
Caleb Turner
yeah fuck this bullshit, imma watch Coming To America again
>Wakanda will share its technology with the world and make it better NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DONT SHARE IT WITH THE WH*TES WHAT ARE YOU DOING MY BROTHER BLACK WAKANDANS MUST CRUSH THE WYPIPO NOT JOIN THEM
Nathaniel Fisher
>literal fuck whitey subplot
I should have expected as much
Nolan Morris
>kills Klaw. What? That isn't in the post at all.
Jason Butler
Who are niggers supposed to root for?
Dylan Wood
It'll probably fall in line with Winter Soldier and Iron Man as one of the better MCU movies
Jaxon Richardson
>Killmonger is captured and is brought before T'Challa. He wants to use Vibranium to lead a global black uprising against white people for oppressing them. HAHAHAHA, THE MADMEN, THEY DID IT
Benjamin Wilson
That's the villains motivation
Christopher Gray
>Killmonger is captured and is brought before T'Challa. He wants to use Vibranium to lead a global black uprising against white people for oppressing them Jesus Christ
Easton Nguyen
>where his ancestors jumped from slaver ships because they'd rather choose death Does he know what the word "ancestors" mean?
Julian James
>Killmonger is captured and is brought before T'Challa. He wants to use Vibranium to lead a global black uprising against white people for oppressing them Stopped reading there.
Josiah Price
Ironically, blacks arent even itnerested in this, no matter how much the media will lie, and say they are. "heroism" is an utterly confounding subject to blacks.
the reason black comic book characters will NEVER work and are so obviously shoehorned and terrible.
Their people simply do not value heroism. They dont value altruism, self-sacrifice, striving for perfection of form and function, or extra-human idealism. They dont value law, order, truth or justice.
infact they embody the pure unadulterated opposite of all this. Wanton narcissism and death. Contempt for all laws, lawgivers and their institutions. They have NO concept of achievement or social advancement. They have outlandish egotism where they can simultaneously be "a king or a queen" while receiving welfare and or sit behind bars.
its a mind boggling attempt by an industry that fundamentally fails to understand how morally corrupt black culture is to its core.
Alexander Carter
villains are made to be something the writers behind the hero half agree with, "magneto was right" etc
Aaron Price
Why aren't they motivated against the black people that captured them in the first place? Or the jew slavers who actually owned the slave ships? Or the first slave owner in America who was black? Oh right, that doesn't make very good fuck whitey propaganda
Ian Walker
let them be dumb, it's funnier this way
(it'd be funnier if his ancestors thought burials at sea were akin to going to hell but those traditions were lost)
Landon Morris
They'd never adapt the White Wolf storyline from the comics. Too risky.
Which I guess leaves us with Achebe as the villain of the sequel.
Isaiah Fisher
Not in the case of the MCU. Feige doesn't put much thought into villains because he believes developing the heroes is more important. He's not necessarily wrong but it's also the reason why the MCU only has a handful of good villains.
Caleb Perry
This desu
Evan Robinson
>They'd never adapt the White Wolf storyline from the comics. Too risky. What is it?
Jackson Parker
The only time I can think of that being true for the MCU is Homecoming
Sebastian Jackson
Sounds like a typical marvel movie to me. Dude is powerful, gets beaten, gets powerful then wins in the end.
David Brown
Considering that like 99% of black slaves were enslaved in Africa and sold by blacks, and that his ancestors were not slaves since he exists, doesn't that mean that his ancestors probably actually sold those slaves to whites?
lmao
Oliver Edwards
>handful of good villains. Who? I've enjoyed some of the Marvel films but none of them have had compelling or memorable villains imo.
Luke Myers
actually yeah, thinking back all these villains are shit
Brayden King
this movie is kino
Luke Watson
killmonger pls
Dominic Cruz
>Loki >Zemo >Ego >Vulture
Owen Barnes
So T’Challa’s mom was a slut?
Wyatt Brooks
Loki is interesting and well acted in thor 1 but he's not compelling at all
>ice-mutt overcompensates and starts a genocide against ice people to prove he's extra asgardian
Aaron Allen
FREE FROM INFECTION
Josiah Walker
Vulture was awesome. I really liked him, but I thought Zemo was even better. I don't understand why he doesn't get more praise
Noah Williams
>N'Jobu
Luke Wright
> the chieftain of the anti-technology mountain tribe Why the fuck is this a thing? This sounds retarded as fuck.
>He wants to use Vibranium to lead a global black uprising against white people for oppressing them. I don't get it, isnt the whole point of wakanda that they were never oppressed since they were hidden and only gave a fuck about their own tribe? In fact dont they consider themselves superior to other niggers like brits thought about themselves? Why does he give a fuck about them?
>supports Killmonger alongside the rest of his tribesmen. This sounds really fucking dumb, i can get one lunatic wanting nonsensical revenge, but the whole tribe? If the feeling is so strong why didnt this happen sooner? And it makes no sense with their isolationist nature of wakanda, otherwise why not go on a conquest/freedom campaign in the whole of africa during the 16th century to rule/free their "brothers"?
>First stinger is T'Challa announcing that Wakanda will share its technology with the world and make it better. Lame, the best thing about panther is knowing to put his own nation before the others, this just weakens what makes him special and smells like globalist propaganda.
Sounds dumb overall, wont watch it on the big screen, just like i did with the rest of marvel movies since avengers 2.
Justin Wood
Zemo is good but the problem I think is that he's barely in the fucking movie and has little presence despite his actions. The two times I rewatched watched it I forgot he was in the movie, even after they show him I forget until he's back 40 minutes later. When he is shown in it though he is intimidating yet sympathetic which is more for what I can say for most MCU villains. Hope he gets more screen time soon.
Michael Morris
Where are racist biggots like >pic related now?
Huh? well?
Evan Young
Black Panther has an adoptive white brother who survived a plane crash near Wakanda and was taken in by King T'Chaka. Since the Wakandans would never accept a foreigner as the new king, the boy was treated like shit and eventually found his place as the leader of Wakanda's brutal as fuck, Gestapo-like secret police. He came to be known as "The White Wolf". When the king has biological children, he's cast aside.
When Black Panther becomes king, he disbands the secret police, and White Wolf goes into exile, returning as a mercenary. Despite everything, he's a fanatical Wakandan nationalist and tries to push Black Panther to become a ruthless isolationist because fuck non-Wakandans and fuck the outside world.
They've merged aspects of his personality and backstory to Killmonger's, probably because casting a white guy as the extremist Afrocentric villain could push the wrong buttons.
Jeremiah Smith
HOL UP Does BP go into the Vibranium Mines to kill Man-Ape for his Sacred White Gorilla necklace?
James Brown
Sounds like a fully serviceable origin story / Lexus commercial.
Carter Morris
>kills Klaw. Don't say it's real
Matthew Ortiz
>That image Why is the paneling in comics such shit? Japan figured this shit out decades ago.
Brody Torres
>Found the racist. Would it be better if their names were Donald and Joe Six Pack you inbred hick?
Luis Ward
Why the fuck would Bucky be the White Wolf then?
Adrian Williams
Such an uprising would probably need a leader, and this dipshit probably thinks the rebels would be grateful enough to keep him on as Supreme World Leader.
Colton Sanders
Good thing Thanos will arrive soon
Tyler Moore
Because the MCU has taken liberties with characters before.
Angel Wilson
>He's known as "The White Wolf". Based
Juan Edwards
Nick Cannon is the worst thing about this movie. I can already tell.
Robert Gray
He's BP's adoptive white brother. He gets treated like absolute shit from other Wakadans simply because he's white but he likes the nation and culture. Completely against the progressive narrative.
Isaiah Gonzalez
not him but dont pretend those names arent dumb
>hey Sven, Venn and Frann, Hanz and Kahn are looking for you
Levi Gutierrez
So soyboys who brushed up on their Black Panther trivia can clap when they recognize a name. That's literally it.
Carson Sanchez
The only white guy in Wakanda.
Eli Gomez
Whatever you liike.
Jonathan Roberts
meant for this
Michael Fisher
most blacks I know like Batman. And I know it's something to do with the dark gritty crime aspect of his movies and comics.
Lincoln Taylor
>Black Panther has like three villains in the comics >Kill two of them and make one of them good in the first movie So I guess there won't be a sequel then?
Charles Martin
this but unironically.
Dylan White
I'm still thinking 500-700 million.
less than average for a marvel movie
I think there's even a good chance it makes only the same or less than ant-man which would really show that disney threw away the opportunity to make extra hundreds of millions of dollars just to virtue signal and make a movie with 0 white main characters.
Dylan Martin
There will be a third.
Levi Jackson
>Killmonger is captured and is brought before T'Challa. He wants to use Vibranium to lead a global black uprising against white people for oppressing them. >Wakanda's whole thing is being a magical sci-fi paradise that's lightyears beyond the rest of the world and was never conquered, and actively considers themselves seperate and not responsible for the rest of Africa ????????????
Joshua Cook
M'Baku is being set up as the main villain of the sequel. Nakia also goes evil in the comics, and they also got Achebe, White Wolf and Madame Slay.
Luke Bell
SJWs and BLM will be pissed off when they actually watch it
Jose Rivera
TO BE USED AT YOUR DISCRETION!
Xavier Hall
Basically The most that will come out of this is that when Thanos has his inevitable army of disposable insect/alien goons attack a city, there will be cops with laser guns or something
Nathan Howard
>villain is a black supremacist >Bucky is now the "White Wolf" Is Marvel secretly based?
Logan Adams
But it'll be spun as "500 to 700 million, all blown out, best black cast, all years, #blackexcellence."
Christian Torres
The amistad ship/movie where the nigs get captured with nets?
Matthew Williams
Marvel Comics is SJW trash that is beyond saving at this point
Marvel Studios, while clear that many of the higher ups and actors have Left leaning values, keep that out of the movies for the most part.
John Jenkins
Yeah. Typical globalist propganda. Every hates nogs and know they are the lowest on the totem pole. Wakanda shares the vibranium cause it makes the audience see "globalism" as good without knowing globalism is even on the screen
Wyatt Cruz
>Achebe This character looks alright. I'm mad they shorted Klaw though.
Jose Rodriguez
>Black uprising
Definitely written by an African American. No one in Africa gives a fuck about these things
Gavin Perry
...
David Bennett
IN THE REVOLUTION I WILL STEAL THE GOLD FROM UNDERNEATH BALD PEOPLE'S HEADS AND I WILL FINALLY REMOVE MY SANDALS!
Henry Edwards
Story sounds good. How does it look?
Andrew King
It's propaganda. It's a lot harder to blame white people for slavery when you understand almost all slaves were enslaved by other blacks and traded for. While white people may have raided coastal areas, this would not be sustainable for long. For the most part white people could not even get past the coast due to the disease since this is pre vaccines.
