But they are outnumbered. You can directly correlate this with the sharp drop in non white populations and an increase in progressive liberalism.

Ask yourself why the happiness of women overall directly decreases as feminism becomes more powerful. Ask yourself why more people are depressed and killing themselves than ever. The family is the most basic and important bond that a human being can possibly have. Strip it away from them and they become dejected nihilistic tools.

Both Finn and Poe exhibit character growth. Finn learns more about the realities of galactic society and decides what his role is in the scope of the greater conflict. Poe learns the value of sacrifice and that sometimes surviving is better than dying even if it's for a noble cause. And also the flaws of having a huge ego.

This is all pretty basic stuff. You can argue about how well these character arcs were executed, but I don't see how you can say they don't exist.

It's pretty clear to me that the ST was conceived without a clear societal message, they've tried to retcon it somewhat into relating to the current political situation with the First Order being an obvious analogue to neo-nazis, but not much beyond that.

Although to be fair, both the OT and the PT didn't really flaunt their political messages until the final film of the respective trilogy, with RotJ being an analogue of Vietnam and RotS being an analogue of the Iraq War era.
