How is that this is so much more impactful than other punches and hits? Why do we get so shit coreography in capeshit movies? I mean, did the guy in that webm just used the same technique of moving along with the hit like anybody else and it was just a matter of rehearsing more, finding best angle to shoot, etc?

It's a mix of Cavill looking the part and the guy receiving the punch doing such a good job of making it look really fucking hard.

The point of boxing gloves is to protect the puncher and reduce the amount of cuts. It does nothing to soften kinetic impact.
