Cuddles with Ronnie when
Just watching the new documentary with Parky. Ghostwatch I think it's called. Sarah Greene doesn't half give me the horn but some of the shit going on is freaky.
need to watch Detectorists season 3 desu
Is he /ourlad/?
If you haven't already, watch Game On and ITV's panto version of Cinderella.
As for what's on tonight I haven't the foggiest. Only things I watch regularly are Only Connect, University Challenge, and Inside No. 9 which isn't back on until next year.
Inside No. 9 was kino
whats the latest season like though, havent seen it yet
that isnt phelan
I nearly exclusively watch the travel channel these days. Shed and buried, Life below zero etc. It's the only kind of telly I can tolerate since I turned 25, 5 years ago.
>Tfw haven’t watched QI since Fry left
How is it now lads
Hey Britbros.
Is the 'tv license' thing real, or is it just a shitty meme?
For the most part it's just as good as the first three series. The first episode, Zanzibar, is quite divisive of opinion. Really depends on how much you enjoy the more play like episodes and poetry.
>Shed & Buried
Class. I wish they'd hurry up with another series though. I've seen all of 'em a couple times each now.
There's a classic car showroom not too far from me selling a grey Ferguson tractor and fuck me am I tempted to have it.
The show's given me a bit of a fascination with old metal garage signs as well. If I had the room I'd start collecting them myself.
You know how it is. That's why we both don't watch it anymore.
Its a real thing
only soyboys pay it though,
Probably the best out of all the comedy panel shows still on the box. Less chance of seeing the same 5 or 6 liberal 'comedians' plastered on telly now.
Watching Newsnight right now. Poker's on at midnight, I'll get ready for bed then watch that until I fall asleep.
>There's a classic car showroom not too far from me selling a grey Ferguson tractor and fuck me am I tempted to have it.
Grey fergie, I shouldn't know this lmao. But yeah, I'd like to see more, and I definitely can see myself collecting old metal things when I get older. Or should we say, trinkets ;)
Yes but we don't pay to have a TV. We pay the BBC a license so we can watch their channels, which pretty much requires a TV. Thats how they get us.
the only show worth watching
Yes, it's a thing if you want to watch any sort of tv live.
Although you can easily opt out, because who the fuck actually watches live tv?
>tfw didn't pay my license fee
I got my dad pic related for his birthday last year after we got too close to buying a full size stationary engine for my mom's liking thanks to S&B.
I keep pestering my brothers to flog their bikes and to get old British bikes too just so I can fettle on 'em.
>only a few years left of being truly hot
time ravages us all lads
>and Inside No. 9 which isn't back on until next year.
Has a new series been confirmed yet then?
she is so overrated
i'll watch anything with andrew graham dixon
i-is it actually steam powered? God I never used to like things like this.
you'll be fine.
whats your name and address by the way?
Fantastic news. Each year after a series has ended I'm afraid they'll cancel it because the ratings are low even though the series is brilliant. Glad to see the BBC knows quality, and I see the ratings are slowly reaching 2mil
Does anyone else wake up and watch Frasier every morning?
Yup. You fill up the little boiler with water and it comes with little solid hexi fuel pieces underneath it.
Belt driven to the read axle and the piston even had a lever to switch between forwards and reverse. Or do what we did and leave the belt off so it can puff away happily without the car driving into everything.

They do a bunch of versions too including a fire engine and a few tractors as well as different static engines.
alri
No, but I'm usually in a cycle of watching panel shows on youtube. Just did all of QI again and started on 8 out of 10 Cats, once that's over move onto WILTY etc. By the time you've watched everything, you've forgotten enough to make it fun to watch it all again. It's usually on in the background while I do things around the house though, background noise.
I wish Brexit meant that we don't have to fucking participate in that degenerate shitshow called Eurovision
It's surprisingly easy to ignore and avoid that crap, I've done it all my life
Derry Girls
is this Sup Forums approved?
What about non Brit shows you wish got aired over here more often?
I wish this had gained traction here. Even if it was like The Simpsons on BBC2/Channel 4 and there was a five year delay. Instead we got Friends and now every time you try and recommend Seinfeld they just think it's a Friends rip-off.
>My millionaire migrant boss
A millionaire refugee teaches lazy brits the art of working shit jobs for low pay
My mum keeps pestering me to watch this, is it worth a gander?
Honestly not a big fan of US telly in general. Not on a nationalistic note, I just never really got grabbed by any of their big sitcoms or dramas save for a few under the radar ones and maybe Breaking Bad. Though that got enough attention over here and I only watched it once
yes
no nudity but some legs
yeah it's pretty funny
My problem is we get the worst shit played more often than anything else. I'm looking at you, E4 and your endless Big Bang Theory scheduling.
Even Breaking Bad took a few years to gain traction over here IIRC.
I'm usually late to the party with everything though so I end up going back looking for the better programmes rather than watching the tripe as it airs.
Don't tell the bride
Why does no one ever post about the peak of autism kino?
>Irish
>Human
Only thing I watch is Gold.
I rarely watch those programmes on telly anyway, if I think I'll like something I'll stream it online or download it. It's been a long time since I've watched things live. Even programmes over here I usually wait until the weekend and binge everything I wanted to watch that week
anyone else watch this? its comfy as fuck
It's weird how Frasier is so popular in the UK but Seinfeld is more of cult show. And then Friends is bafflingly popular despite being shit.
During my year abroad in America, I figured out that Seinfeld was pretty well liked among college students, Friends was absolutely massive, but nobody even knew what Frasier was.
Also the US Office is the go to normie sitcom still. Tons of roasties would quote it in their tinder bio or post about it on social media. The Big Bang Theory is a punchline for most these people but their parents all seem to love it.
Very odd.
BBC Documentary and drama series when????
Almost every country has a TV licence, the UK is different in that paying it is optional.
Quite like a bit of Louis Theroux
I only knew one person who liked Fraiser. She was the most ditsy (ditsiest?) girl I've ever known but she loved Fraiser.
I always hated how popular Friends was. I remember when the finale was on I was up the cricket club. Me and my brother nipped down the local tandoori and when we came back all the wives and some of the kids were watching it on the TV. They'd shut themselves in the room with the TV and pool table and gave us a right bollocking for distracting them with the food and wouldn't let us play pool til it was over. Mental.
What was the last REALLY good British sitcom lads? I don't mean pretty good like Man Down or whatever I mean like excellent ala Father Ted, Spaced or Peep Show ect.
I thought The IT Crowd from series 2 onwards was genuinely good fun throughout. Toast of London is pretty marmite but I loved it. Do the recent League of Gentlemen count as new/sitcom? Inside No. 9 is fucking quality as well but less of a sitcom
I watched the first few episodes of Catastrophe and thought it was looking that way. Am I wrong on that?
Detectorists
I didn't like Friends when it was on, but gave it another chance years later and loved it.
>Do the recent League of Gentlemen count as new/sitcom?
It is not new at all considering it first aired in 1999, the 3 episode mini-series that was released over crimbo was fucking terrible and should be ignored.
I'd say The Thick Of It or The Trip.
The Inbetweeners had perfect timing for me as it aired when I was in year 13.
>The League of Gentlemen is 19
Jesus Christ that surprised me. The specials over Christmas were great too. Only just got around to watching TLoG's Apocalypse a few weeks ago and loved that as well as their live shows. Might get myself a ticket for their tour this winter.

>White Gold = Mad Men + Inbetweeners
Odds are the Bill is on right now
I'm aware, that's why I asked whether it counts as recent seeing as it's a continuation of an 18-year-old programme. Also fuck off it was great.
>Jesus Christ that surprised me.
I know, time fucking flies. All of their stuff is great and worth a watch. My only problem was the laugh track in S1 which took away from the atmosphere, but it's all great and original.
That list mostly makes me vomit. Gavin & Stacey was fantastic though, I give that a rewatch every couple years and love it.
they look like they fuck black guys
Looks like the Americans are awake
I'd say technically Red Dwarf because its ongoing.
I'd only watched series one back when it first aired when I was 8 so I had no idea what was really going on. I was always under the impression it was a bit of a shit sit-com akin to Mighty Boosh based on the HELLO DAVE? quoting I heard.
Then in the run up to the specials I watched all the previous series and fell in love with it. Fucking love Geoff as a character.
Peter you've lost the news!
>mrs browns boys
I enjoyed the first series, it was quaint and I liked the fact that all the actors were family irl which made up for the shit acting. It definitely has no place being the top sitcom of the moment though, getting the Christmas special status once held by much much better programmes. They just say feck to get a guaranteed laugh and clearly stage script fuck-ups
Imagine being a Chad and getting to go on Take Me Out and choosing from a bunch of fit slags
>Imagine being a Chad
I'll t-t-try
Imagine being being an executive for ITV and cancelling that show.
Just watched the Weird Weekends Broadway episode, that girl was so wet for him, Louis is the man
Never met anyone who likes Frasier
Do it. I do not hesitate to call it the perfect series. Everything about it is done right. Not cynical, bitter, shows the spirit of community and craftsmanship in an ever-changing world. I literally jumped for joy at the end of series 2 with what happened to Lance
They cancelled it? That's a shame, Paddy is a good bloke
Best episode and....go!
Riddle of the Sphinx
I'd like to see him pay for his crimes, or at least become homeless.
Worthy choice. That one's my favourite for its sheer cleverness, tied only to Private View because I love a murder mystery setting
I watched the anorexia episode the other day. All those broken qts.
I've been rationing out the episodes seeing as we only get about 4 a year. Still need to watch the Scientology Movie too.
No it's shite and derry girls aren't so slutty but it's a e4 show.
Scientology movie won't be as good as you're expecting
Devil at Christmas
I heard it had mixed reception. I wasn't expecting a traditional doc in the style of his BBC Two episodes.
I'd like to see him to do more docs in the UK. Also want to see him do more nutters like he used to in the old documentaries, like people who think the world is run by reptiles, instead of him doing grim stuff like burgers shooting up heroin and killing each other in the ghetto.
I think I'd go with Last Gasp. Which is kind of odd for me seeing as though Reece Shearsmith and his characters were always my favourite of the Gentlemen.
The 12 Days of Christine was masterfully written however.
HE'S A 20TH CENTURY BOY
WITH HIS HANDS ON THE RAILS
The one in the call centre
Just watched the latest Inside No. 9 and fuck me that final twist was great. I thought last week's was a bit mediocre but apart from that one this series has been solid 8/10s for me.
The wedding photographer one was genuinely eerie, it sounds stupid but ever since that aired I've gotten a slight tingle of discomfort when I see instant noodles in the shops
Choose your fighter
>every time someone mentions that new series called Requiem
What are some good recent dramas or detectives? I watched Rellik when it aired and fucking loved it.
I like Come Dine With Me...
I hope you also like four in the bed
And The Winner Is... was the weakest episode for me by far.
Tempting Fate last night was brilliant and I was really happy seeing Nigel Planer on TV again.
My favourite episodes are always the ones that, when I watch with my brother, he's almost constantly going "This is fucked up. You watch some weird shit, you do." then going on about how good it is when it concludes.
Also I implore everyone to watch the old The Comic Strip Presents on 4oD. Bad News Tour and More Bad News are brilliant if you've ever been in a band or into rock and metal music.
Me too. Hate Couples CDWM though.
>tfw no one has even heard of one of your favourite shows
The show is nothing without the narrator.
