Would you rape a cylon?

Would you rape a cylon?

no but i would ask one for sex!

So rape?

who wouldn't. it's not like it's a human

>arms tied(??) in the back

you don't have to constantly tell him he's unattractive

You can't rape a machine

Daily reminder that Admiral Cain did nothing wrong

i want to personally test that

except not having sex with me while dressed up as ensign ro

I feel like I could give it a decent shot

I'd get in line twice

There's really no difference between a machine and a human. This is some of the most elementary and well-known philosophy in existence.

*blocks your path*

F

There's really no difference between prime steak cut and cow anus but I know which one you'd pick off a menu. We don't exist at a level of resolution where man and machine are indistinguishable.

We aren't talking about our current reality, where this entire issue is purely theoretical.

Regardless, even if we lived in a world where humaniform robots were commonplace we wouldn't perceive them as human

An artificially constructed being that looks and acts indistinguishable from a human is not different from a human and you can't say "hur can't rape a machine bro :-)." This is already a settled matter and not up for debate.

Sauce?

But they are different. We're human, they're machines. It's fundamental.

Please don't embarrass yourself by coming back with "dude we're just machines made of meat bro", it would just serve to prove that you're arguing the matter on a much lower plane to mine.

They aren't different. This is philosophy 101. You are just dumb as shit.

Can you prove it? Lay it out for me user.

I wouldn’t rape anyone you sick fuck.

"user, did the oldfags ever teach you the legend of Google Image Search? A tool so powerful... you could find the source of any image with just a few clicks?"

Tricia Helfer playing the role of Cylon number 6 'Gina' in Battlestar Galactica Season 2 episode Pegasus

...

To this day, I still have a chuckle whenever I think about this bit

What's a cylon?

Cybernetic Lifeform Node I think

GAETA WAS RIGHT

the Grace Park rape scene was better

*farts*

Boomer > Six > Starbuck

Objective facts.

>blocks your path

Goddamn right

Sadly, it was destroyed by his pupil: Machine Learning. Ironic, isnt it.

the asian girl was so cute it made me depressed bros

how come there's no more asian qts these days

Not if she stinks, no.
But thanks to Ronald D Moore's BSG, we now know that the human cylons were simply our ancestors with the the ability to transfer consciousness after death to a central hub that was destroyed because our other human ancestors such as Adama believed that transferring consciousness was an unfair advantage to cheat death.
Personally I believe Adama was an asshole.

>Helo could've wiped out the Cylons with the virus AND kept his waifu safe since she was immune
I mean I get it was essentially a filler episode but still
Also anyone else think Battlestars seemed comfy?

Except they're super strong, yet normal durable, can project, oh and killed 50 BILLION PEOPLE

I mean it was past due for an "important" character to die but at least she went out with a bang

this is a thread about rape, what are you babbling about

Yes. What's a cylon?

>think Battlestars seemed comfy?

No, not really. Basically they were angry people arguing all the time over their inflated, or bruised egos.

I mean sacrificing all those civs puts the bleak future of humanity in further peril
How many baseships could Pegasus reasonably take on? It's not like they had more Battleships lying around or crews to man them

Was she in the sex cult when BSG was airing?

Pegasus is my shipfu

>she had to bleach her asshole

Tricia Helfer is a great actress and it is a great injustice hat she's only cast in genre schlock.

>at least she went out with a bang

>there are people in this thread RIGHT NOW that watched Battlestar Galactica after the end of season 2

I'm the third.

Is something that is 100% indistinguishable from a human not a human in every way that matters?

>I thought not. It's not a story a redditor would tell you.

In the original they were just named after the species that created them. Did they ever actually say where they got the name in the remake?

As waifu material you are correct. As characters it goes

Six>Starbuck>Boomer

And as actor quality it goes

Six>Boomer>Starbuck

Ehhh, let's be fair here. The New Caprica arc was good. Everything after the boxing episode was trash. Revelations was good, so was The Oath/Blood on the Scales. All the rest were trash.

>Black person with green or blue eyes
Always amazing when that happens

>tfw Mormonism and Scientology are indistinguishable

I think it was the designation given to them by their inventor at Greystone Industries on Caprica

>Except they're super strong, yet normal durable, can project, oh and killed 50 BILLION PEOPLE
To save millions

I wouldn't a Starbuck. But I would a Katee Suckoff.

unironically true kek

New Caprica was completely pointless. I almost think they did it just to be contemporary but forgot to actually say anything about what they were commenting on (Iraq War).

I never watched the spinoff. the show had jumped the shark so bad by the time it came on i didn't bother.

Same but I gotta wonder about a woman that can play crazy that well.

It was suicide bombings. They did make a note of pointing that out on several occasions but yeah, it was completely out of keeping with the shows moorings. I think Ron Moore just wanted to shove in a little social commentary like when he was on Star Trek.

The best part was when her eyes went all vacant.

I liked it if only because we got Fat Lee
Plus it's pretty conceivable that they'd all abandon the search for Earth for a spit on habitable land even if its pretty shitty

her body of work is severely underrated

My main issue is that at that point you can pretty much justify any response to Cylons or Cylon sympathizers
Didn't those police forces kill children?

I actually believe that since the humans decided the only fair resolution was to destroy the cylon resurrection hubs, that such an action actually warrants that the human cylon's first strike attack against the humans.
The humans were hypocrites deciding how other species you remain alive, and reproduce according to their own.

Caprica was a total clusterfuck. Being a prequel to BSG, the idea was that we were supposed to see the invention of the Cylons, their mass production and subsequent integration into all the facets of Colonial life. Then their attaining sentience followed by the rebellion and the start of the first Cylon war.
Great on paper. But what we got was theological existentialism, some gangster bullshit and family drama. It was a total failure.

Man it's a shame #7 isn't the ham planet
>Why was Caprica 6 afraid of 7?

I still hate Fat Lee

They were a secret police. More social commentary.

If I can get it pregnant, yes. Repeatedly.

Brilliant backstory

Maybe I'm just autistic but it seems weak
You either resist by any means possible to the things that genocides 50 billion of your people and left your homes irradiated hellholes and then enslaved the last 40 thousand of you in the universe OR just give in

I wonder how she prepared for this scene.

>Plus it's pretty conceivable that they'd all abandon the search for Earth for a spit on habitable land even if its pretty shitty
It is but it had so little impact on the characters or show in the long run that it felt wasted.

I'm impressed she can look that friendly around the most terrifying of nerds.

> It was a total failure.
Did that actually surprise anyone?

One thing that really bugged me about this show was the color filters. It was so goddamn obvious and jarring, I hated it. Every time there was an outdoors shot or a planetside scene, there was a color filter. I think the only 3 occasions they didn't use a filter on the entire show were Kobol, the flashbacks to New Caprica in Season 4 and the second Earth

If I'd been in charge of the studio, I would have given it a second season but only on the condition that I got to slap Ron Moore upside his head and yell "Stop fucking around with human interest and start building fucking Cylons!"

>philosophy is an objective study
You're probably the worst case of pseudointellectuality I've ever seen

Just to be clear, the humans in BSG were actually the villains by deciding what, and how other beings should retain life.

>trying to make sense of the show's characters and morals
I just pretend the show got cancelled immediately after the mid-season cliffhanger with Pegasus. it makes me happier.

I beginning to get irritated with the show when they first all met up on a planet, everyone talking in the seperate little picnic areas. Before then there had been a constant threat of immediate danger, then thy decided, let's make this happen slower, and make the Cylons less of the attack. That's when it began to become apparent the show wasn't intended to last so long.
Once the Cylon's lost their edge, it was pretty much wasting our time.
BUT, I hung on waiting for more space actions, which turned out to be an even less rewarding for the endurance.
Believe it or not I respected RDM, but his boredom became apparent. It's as if he wanted us to hate him, just so he could get aroused by our animosity.

What was the Cylons'plan?

The first sign that they didn't know what they were doing for me was when you had the big seperation arc over President Girl-Jesus's hallucinations but then Adama decided "fuck it let's just get back together". Because they just couldn't come up with a better reason to return to status quo.

>It's as if he wanted us to hate him, just so he could get aroused by our animosity.
The Mormon is the Jew of the pre-Rockies American West.

>There's really no difference between a machine and a human.
Even the structure is different. We don't even know if our brains / bodies work like antennae, prisons or factories in regards to consciousness.
>This is some of the most elementary and well-known philosophy in existence.
[citation needed]

She does hallmark channel cringekino too

>keep jumping

Based Admiral adama

Well since we don't know anything about the fundamental nature of consciousness we can't really say that a machine can or can't ever have it then.

I can't decide if that's better or worse. I wish she'd get good roles.

> we can't really say that a machine can or can't ever have it then.
Indeed, but this is in stark contrast to your(?) earlier claims. I actually hope the machines can and will have consciousness, even if the nature of their consciousness was fundamentally different.

This.
Mormons are the Jews of Christianity.
My Mormon grandfather once told me "I'd rather do business with a kike, then a another Mormon"
