Well, there's never been a Star Wars movie I outright hated. Attack of the Clones probably came closest but even that had a few scenes that made it worth it. I like Star Wars just fine.I'm not a super devoted fan of it the way I'm a fan of, say, Twin Peaks but I still enjoy it quite a bit.

That said, I think Rian Johnson and JJ Abrams both missed the sweet spot between familiar and foreign that makes new additions to franchises exciting and interesting. TFA was a boring rehash, and TLJ didn't feel like Star Wars, so I get why people are upset.

Thrawn is NOT good. Poor Timothy Zahn had to rape his own character to death just so he wouldn't have to watch someone else do it. His old books were a work of passion and creative freedom with integrity and this new one is him putting the bullet in Old Yeller.
