based krauts bringing the kino.
It was actually good

this board is the only place I see people talking about this shit is this another board meme like Zack Snyder movies being good?
Ending was shit tho
Dude, when Ulrich is chasing the boy through the woods I got the chills. Haven't had a scene in a show conjure feelings like that ever. Bravo! Excited for Season 2.
Had to for that sequel bait. I'd preferred it if he went even further back instead of the future.
Germans are trying to shill this shit.
but dude, I don't want season 2 to become the road.. Postapocalyptic just doesn't work for me
Well we don't know exactly what happens yet and I'd wager we will still see multiple time periods interacting with each other. No reason to dislike it before you watch it with an open mind.
I usually dislike time travel shows, but it's one of the few that actually pulls it of.
Still gonna watch it...To be honest, as a german, I'm kinda happy that it got international praise. Our Shows used to be 80% shit before Dark.
I really loved every part until the last 10 seconds. I might just pretend it ended because I can't think of a way to make a terminator plotline not generic and rehashed
same here
Yes. I kinda wish he went back in time instead of the future. That time passage looked like some mythical stuff that has been there for centuries.
I'm on episode 4 and so far I find it boring and I don't really feel hooked.
But I love the scenography and ambience.
Am I the only one who didn't like it? It tried way too hard to be Twin Peaks.
you try way too hard to be reddit
>having an honest opinion is reddit
Not everyone has to like what you like, faggot.
youtube.com
great use of music in the show, best song coming through
>catched
I never thought him ACTUALLY slamming him with a rock to kill him. That came out of left field for me.
This is an embarassment without equal for German Public Broadcast which collects 100s of millions of dollars p.a. from the citizens with literal Stasi squads knocking at your door, yet hasn't produced any worthwhile content WHATSOEVER in decades. They make the BBC look like a beacon of culture and integrity.
ddddduuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrr keeeeeenoooo
superior krautkino
Does Babylon Berlin follow suit?
yes
There's nothing twin peaks about it. There's no quirkiness, there's no pie, it isn't afraid to show supernatural stuff, there aren't any likeable characters, every hook is explained in a few episodes. I would love to understand why you think that tho.
Who's ready for /ourguy/ Mads to play Mads in the second season? I swear they are going full meta.
He obviously hasn't seen Twin Peaks.
I'd guess that in its current state, less than a third of Sup Forums users have seen The Wire, Sopranos and Twin Peaks, or more than a dozen movies made before 1990, for that matter.
Is that confirmed?
I think Mads is a great addition, he was fantastic in the Michael Kohlhaas movie which is to Germans what's McBeth to the Brits or Gatsby to the Americans...
its typical german
over engineered
pretentious
no depth
relying heavily on music to flag important scenes and way to much exposition because germans are stupid
i liked dark overall but there is some truth in this. a lot of scenes felt incredibly overwrought.
Not being a German and being sick of watching nothing but Hollywood my whole life it feels fresh to most of us non-germans.
I really enjoyed this show, managed to build up a good atmosphere around it. I mean the main plot hook is someone in the town is murdering children in a pretty horrific way. There's a few characters who feel a bit superfluous to the plot, but I'm hoping they'll do something with them in future series. The end did seem to come out of nowhere a bit, and didn't feel as believable within the context of the show as the 1953 reveal, but considering all the stuff round The Stranger it does make some sense.
It also managed to throw in a few twists that had enough foreshadowing to them to predict without seeming obvious.
>enjoying this krautkino
>mommy appears out of nowhere
>written off as a lesbo side character
fucking come on
nah this isn't people being contrarian, it's just relatively obscure.
the fact that it's german sort of limits the normie interaction
Good music, but ending every episode with some sappy music over a montage of different characters became really overplayed.
Yeah! That was the actually interesting part I thought, the intrigue surrounding the priest. Thought it would delve a lot more in the spiritual/secret society side of time travel
>it was actually good
No it wasn't. Only a fucking brainlet would think this shit was anygood.
Boring post.
Think of something new.
Say that to the writers of D A R K
Goddamn she was beautiful in the show. I hear she's going to have a bigger role in the second season.
Still, ending sucked, season 2 seems like it will be bad judging from the ending and the music was shite. Really loved it while it before that very last scene though.
why does the 2nd season of every promising show end up being shit?
Is this worth watching or is it just a tv meme?
i liked it but the over use of those two stupid sounds like this post points out in every fucking scene was retarded
i mean it got damn right comical at certain points, like the scene when mikkel and noah were talking about the creation of the universe and those two fucking sounds were just firing off like it was meant to be some unnerving, creepy revelation
took me right out of it
They didn't seem to know how to wrap up the story, their solution of post apocalypse shit just seems like it will be terrible compared to the setting they've had.
They established that it was 33 year time skips early on so if you never seen a futuristic setting coming I feel bad for you.
What a shite place too live btw, you're either stuck in post WW2 Germany, the end of West/East Germany, 2019 Germany or Post Apocalypse Germany.
Not even the Germans deserve this fate.
Best new show on Netflix right now. Took a couple episodes for me to really get going into it but man it really picked up. Good job Germany.
Definitely worth watching. And give it time, you'll be rewarded.
Best Lost ripoff ever.
