From the first page alone he liked Certified Fresh movies like "Darkest Hour", "God's Own Country", "Lady Bird", "BPM (Beats Per Minute)", "The Square", "Tom of Finland", "Polina", "American Made". That's 8 out of 30 Certified Fresh movies on the first page. Sure, he's more selective that other critics but that doesn't exactly make him a contrarian.
