Alien (1979)

I was watching the original Alien film and noticed how after the facehugger detached from the man it attacked, it still managed to squirm around and twitch and such. That got me thinking, is the facehugger a completely separate organism? The egg was already in the man it attacked so, assuming the facehugger is part of the Xenomorph life cycle it should have been completely dead right?

This thread is asking too much to live. You’d need people who want to discuss the material instead of just immediately shitting on it.

The lore is inconsistent

The facehugger was an organism on it's own, it was simply a transport/vector for the xeno embryo/infection.
It had a little juice left after it had finished with Kane, hence the moving around.

Facehuggers were created from the hands and reproductive system (inserted into the palms) of Elizabeth Shaw by David originally. They serve as an incubator for the embryo, which it passes onto a host. The facehugger is a separate organism that soon dies after this process and isn't a part of the Xenomorph's life cycle (which is implied to be eternal).

>Facehuggers were created from the hands and reproductive system (inserted into the palms) of Elizabeth Shaw by David originally
Pls no fanfic bullshit

There was a cut scene of David finding a fossilized facehugger egg and saying "this was my inspiration"

tl;Dr the xenomorph and David's thing are separate but similar.

I want a xenomorph gf

It was dead, lower lifeforms like insects and reptiles will still move and twitch after death.

The reason discussion died on Sup Forums is the answers to most questions are self-evident. Especially since most people are fucking stupid or just not paying attention.

>Facehuggers were created from the hands and reproductive system (inserted into the palms) of Elizabeth Shaw by David originally.
Not canon

>bring up retcons when discussing an original film

Autistic people are the death of fiction.

Im not seeing the appeal here

Does the polyp instantly die after the jellyfish emerges? No.

The alien creature isn't a catipillar-style transition of a single living thing, it is an intermediate-form style lifecycle with two distinct living things that produce eachother's eggs.

(Alien queen lays eggs that make facehuggers, facehuggers lay eggs that become aliens, much as jellies produce polyps, and polyps produce jellies.)

Breasts and ass. Virgins have never touched either so they take it in any form no matter how anatomically hideous. This explains the prevelance of sexual aspects in Japanese cartoons, despite the repugnant and inhuman facial features of the characters

this shit is even worse than the avp crap stop stop

It's all canon from Covenant baby!

RIDLEY SCOTT'S WILD RIDE TO RUINSVILLE, ALL ABOARD

Who gives a shit about canon aside from worthless spergs?

>Who gives a shit about canon aside from worthless spergs?

>Seen every predator
>Seen every alien except this and the new one
I really should get round to watching this

You cut a chicken head's off and it still spazzes around for little while. You bust a nut and your sperm still wiggle around in your load for a little while etc.

Does anyone else feel the pace of the film gets pretty bad after the chestburster?

Born to die
World is a fuck

Wrong. David merely mimicked what he saw it was very separate from the real Alien

>That got me thinking

>how would it feel if the facehugger implanted the egg in my ass

This.

It would be extremely painful.

>Wow, the alien movie paints a terrifying picture of how bizzare, hostile, and deadly life can be, and we have no idea what to expect from the mysteries out in space

>Actually it's not really an alien at all, it was made by an Android who was made by humans lmao
