The porn.
The porn of TT is way better than the show ever was, an insipid & dull take on a irrelevant comic property, a pretty blatant attempt at cashing in on the massive success several japanese animes were having in the states.

TT never came close to B:TAS, Batman Beyond, JL or JL: Unlimited

Solid writing.

When this show came out, most of us comic fans thought it was okay. Not as good as the DCAU, but enjoyable. Now I see people online saying it's one of the greatest cartoons ever. What happened?

People started realizing how overrated the DCAU is, especially in comparison.

>overrated
>DCAU

And what's better?

Good characters, great style, lousy competition.

If you ignore the over-the-top anime-imitating that has aged like milk, the original Teen Titans show had a lot of style and some compelling characters. Especially for young teens watching the show who wouldn't be tired of the not-particularly-inspired personality archetypes portrayed. Not that I'm trying to undermine it; it was a fun show at the very least.

The people who watched it as little babbies are old enough to post on Sup Forums now

>the not-particularly-inspired personality archetypes portrayed
Can't say I agree with this. The personalities of the major characters in the show were quite readily identifiable, if not completely unique.

the TT cartoon adaptation.

How many TT episodes involve an overarching narrative?

Is it most?

More than half.

That weaboo shit?

C'mon Sup Forums, i didn't know that you had such a bad taste

If you're telling the truth then that's good. I mostly saw episodes out of sequence when I was younger but I enjoyed what I saw and nowadays I like shows with episodes that are meaningfully connected to one another. So I'm going to give it a shot.

it was fun. I thought the series finale movie was fun

Even though it nuked your ship for good?

Its a neat ship but I never took it seriously

Kids had bad enough taste to like it and now they're old enough to shitpost about how great it was

Great characters, great team chemistry, fresh animation style, CHARACTER ORIENTED PLOT.

Also most of the public really felt connected with them. They are the TEEN Titans after all.

Anti-TTG shitposting didn't exist before Teen Titans Go started.
Remember that posts against it are actually posts against its fans.

*Anti-TT

The movie is actually set between season 4 and 5.

>Glen: It’s a longer story and we have more time to spend with it. We developed it between seasons four and five, so in some ways, it fits in between those seasons. But I don’t think that really matters much.

great team dynamics

That doesn't make sense. There's literally zero indication of a relationship upgrade in season 5.

It was weeb shit.

I don't think it's wrong to say Raven and Starfire being some of the sexiest cartoon characters ever drawn was a big part of this show's success. Gorgeous women is like 70% of why the New Teen Titans comics were successful in the first place.

all they need is speed

My favorite episode was the one where Cyborg was kidnapped by that creepy dude who tried to turn him almost completely into a machine.

Wait there was an old TT movie?

No matter how many times I see this art, I always think Starfire has a shrunken foot

I always liked how the core team of five were organically slotted into classic high school archetypes.

Robin - the class president
Starfire - the exchange student
Cyborg - the jock
Raven - the goth
Beast Boy - the class clown

And using those archetypes as a base, slowly started to build each character's personality over the course of the show.

This. I was surprised upon rewatching it how relatively rounded the characters were. There were tropes as always but every one of them had multiple layers that were unique to them. I can't think of other characters who are exactly like any of them or fill the exact same role in a series.

It probably helps that the cast was so few

The showers.
LETS HIT THOSE SHOWERS!

it appealed to kids and now nostalgia brings it up

this

Hmmm, do the class clown and goth ever date?

It wasn't just them, there were plenty of other attractive females like Terra, Jinx, Blackfire, etc.

...

>there were plenty of other attractive females
This show was like a waifu factory.

Nice compilation user, basically exactly what I wanted but was too lazy to make myself.

Fuck no

A girl for every user's taste!

If only RL were like that...

>JL
You were having such a good taste and then you threw this shit bomb kys

Justice League was solid. It was far from perfect, but that doesn't make it bad.

Kole in this pic is clearly a edit version. No breasts and that outline though

It respected it's source material and found a way to work around it's limits (given it was a kids cartoon) and adapted the comics most iconic storylines in a dignified manner.... kinda like 90s X-Men in a way.

>It respected it's source material
No it didn't.

>what is an adaptation

Noice bait M8

Though I think we can all agree Zone's TT porn vids are god tier

Solid writing, good character development, likeable characters, it's fun when it's supposed to be fun and serious when truly serious.

Completely the opposite of GO.

I watched the show on and off and I can't really remember many of the villains. All I remember is
>slade
>terra (does she even count?)
>that book that raven wanted to fuck
>I think starfire had a sister

You don't know what weeaboo means

ok?

Speaking of Teen Titans, how did you guys feel when the early 2000s culture and shows faded away?

just moved on to the internet and called it a day.

really miss extreme culture though.

who the fuck is RedX?
also, will our hero Dtiberius comeback and finish the teen titan hentai of JinxXBlackfire ?

...Trouble in Tokyo.

The blonde girl that isn't Tara, there was something weird about her episode, but I can't remember. What's her name?

>doesn't mention the gamechanging shitshow that was Windows Vista
0/10 would not read again

>Saturday morning cartoons ended with Kids WB
Try again, shithead.

i always forget vista even happened.

You live under a really comfy rock.

Which isn't a good thing. Its impact on the world of computing today is not to be underestimated, even if it's mostly negative.

It was a product of the times, and the times were great desu
>mid 2000's
>great music
>good tv
>internet wasn't for ironic memeposting and normiebook
>video games were still niche but breaking out just a bit

Everything went to shit after 2007

Kitty? She forced Robin to go to prom with her.

That was around the same time social media dawned and debuted with Myspace. Social media has fucked everything up. Just look at fucking twitter.

That sounds gay

(You)

It was the economy that fucked everything up, social media played a negligible role in that.

People used to work out of passion back then, now they have to work just to survive.

>that guy who bothered to watch the dvd commentary

But that's wrong. It's:
Robin - all-American boy next door
Starfire - homecoming queen
Cyborg - the jock
Raven - the basket case
Beast Boy - the nerd

But user, OP's question was what went so right, not what went horribly, horribly wrong.

I'm not replying to OP

Ah the real Teen Titans - Teen Titans Go!

Not the shitty edge super serious proto-series

The user you replied to was discussing the same characters as OP was.

The only thing that's real about TTG is the shame of it not being cancelled yet.

They're all the same characters

No, they're not. They don't even look the same, let alone act like it.

They look pretty similar dude

No, they don't! I suppose you think the similarly named characters from the comics are also the same ones?

Stop being a faggot, they're literally simplified designs of the 2003 cartoon

You're the faggot here, thinking a shitty spinoff is a continuation of the brilliant original series in any way, shape, or form.

It created the shitty beast boy/raven ship cancer that still plagues the characters

TTG is at least funny. The original TT is a piss-poor attempt at making a dark anime. Get off the nostalgiawagon

wow dude, this is extremely pathetic. The original doesn't jerk themselves over the show this hard

>he thinks drama means dark
The original what?

Teen Titans was a mediocre cartoon that seemed great when it was around because its competition was ass. Watching the show without the rose tinted glasses and the flaws stand out more, like the terrible animation and fight scenes

Judging from what I see here and on tumblr, shipbait for girls and fapbait for boys.

original crew

>no more Saturday morning cartoons

Vortexx was the last to do that and that was a couple of years ago.

I don't really know (or care) about fight scenes, but the animation is amazing. Did you watch the 1080p version?

There's an unspoken rule in many fields that you don't go insulting your colleagues in public, even if you don't like their work. (And even indirectly.)

When did shipping change from some shit people did because they want to into some shit people demand become canon?

Still doubt they give a fuck that TTGo is a spin off of the 2003 cartoon. Especially considering some of them work on Go

>Especially considering some of them work on Go
Didn't they replace everyone but the voice actors?

>The only thing that's real about TTG is the shame of it not being cancelled yet.
I wouldn't mind if it got rebooted into pic related.

The special actually ended up being pretty good IMO.

she fuck the spider-boy

I want to say I first noticed it in like 2006ish.
