fucking godly, second greatest film of all time

...

Nowhere in the first cloverfield movie did they indicate that the world was running out of energy

...

In The Cloverfield Paradox it's said that the accelerator could rip holes in time and space, so it's implied that this far-future science experiment is what sent the monster into the past. The next movie takes place during World War 2,
even.

What is this?

It's just one person, isn't it? What do you like about this film so much?

It's a different Earth. Basically there are (at the moment) three different Earths for three different realities.

>Cloverfield 3 takes place in 2028, starts the particle accelerator and fucks with reality

>This accident causes the giant monster (or monsters) to be sent to their earth, the earth of 2008 (the first cloverfield) and an alien invasion to the earth of 2016 (12 cloverfield lane) all at the same time

>tarkovsky will never direct an arthouse superhero film

Okay thanks, I still think they could’ve made this without anything cloverfield related.

Thanks babe

I really like the warm atmosphere and the cinematography. Gore Verbinski has always been a big role model of mine and I think this film is criminally underrated as his first outing. It just has this aura about it as one of the last great "movie" movies where the craft was respected and everyone involved really cared about what they were doing. The score is also phenomenal and I love how it pays homage to old Hollywood without feeling too cheap.

the scripts for lane and paradox were originally not cloverfield related. really strange decision by jew jew considering the second one could have stood on its own as a pretty solid psychological thriller without the hamfisted ayyliums
