Explain to me why people adore this movie?

It was a trite, dishonest work of psuedocinema banality.

This movie is Sup Forums's wet dream.

The soundtrack and the pureness of the girls means it's perfect fodder for young girls to like.

I like it because it subverts the 'true love' message to be about familial, sisterly love instead of romantic love.

The Aryan queen shows her racial superiority by defeating the jew menace (Duke of Weselton)

Her country is pure, not a black person to be seen.

It's about an all white cast in an all white nation throwing out foreigners. What's not to like?

I like how Hans turns out to be the villain but that's it

Anyway, it seems to be a good film for little girls

Its really about a man and a deers sexual relationship

The message isn't bad, but as a movie it's just pretty meh. Uninteresting script, pretty bad music(not counting Let It Go), characters are pretty boring, some of the visuals straight up looked like they came from 2009 video game.

That said the Norwegian storekeeper might be one of my favorite Disney characters ever.

Honestly it was just in the right place at the right time. It was literally the only animated film to come out that year that wasn't complete shit, and it was the first Disney musical princess film to come out after Disney proved they could still make them with Tangled. Couple this with the fact that it's a winter snow motif all over a movie that came out at Christmas time and that it has quasi-feminist qualifications and there's pretty much no way it was going to be anything less than a roaring success.

>Tackled the theme of sister love in a fullfilling way
>Handsome people being both good and evil, showing that people are complex (within the boundaries of a kids movie)

Sounds like a great movie for me. These are the only kind of movies i want disney to make: Musical comedies about pricesses in fantasy worlds. When they put their mind to it they are the best of the market and the only ones who know how to do it properly.

Pretty sure it's just because of the music, like pretty much every Disney movie from their heyday in the Nineties. Without those songs those movies are forgettable trash. Hard truth but it is the truth.

The only difference is the songs in this are pop garbage, Let It Go especially which is a thematic mess. So, beats me.
