I've tried to watch it twice in the past. Never got more than 20 minutes or so in.

It is a pretty important movie if you're into the explotation genre or independent film.

If you're just looking to watch good movies, it's okay. It is pretty farcical and at times more like a genuine comedy. I like it a lot, but I'm a retard.

MY problem is its 5 hours!
not that I have problem with movies over 2 hours. But 5 hours nothing but disgusting humans doing disgusting things non stop.Thier is only so much I can take of it

John Waters is the most dishonest filmmaker of all time. All his movies are just an attempt to insulate him from criticism. There isn't a shred of sincerity in any of them.

Who does Pink Flamingos offend? It is supposed to shock you in a fun and experimental way, it's in the plot of the movie itself. Salo is tame and boring in comparison, basically ripping off Marquis de Sade (maybe pee pee poo poo was fun and shocking two hundred years ago).

Worth a watch for the experience. I think Female Trouble is better, although slightly less nuts.

The main problem with these movies are that everyone yell their lines. It seriously gets exhausting after a while.
