Rob Ager, annoying as he is, has a pretty good video about 2011. The CGI is shown in full light and there is no "alien goo" which renders the CGI like ps3-worthy. The Thing looks like I Am Legend-tier CGI.

Not him, but, there's something about about the way the story just sort of lumbers along, that just adds to the menacing atmosphere. I don't really feel that the storyline is especially great, it's the atmosphere of the movie that really dominates.

Eh, with Halloween & Tcm it's true the 1st is best but Nightmare 3 was equal with the original if not better then it.
But Friday the 13th Parts 2 & 6 are far better then the first and I would argue a few others in the series are better also.
Also Halloween 2 & 4 are not as good as the original but they are alot better then "meh", full on great even.
