In the edges of south at least there’s almost no difference anymore. Believe it or not, most rednecks mingle with blacks no problem. In some places there’s tension but for the most part no one cares, I’ve also noticed the two seem to be merging together, at least in the triangle area. Not that part of it. Robeson county is probably the shittiest part of NC, and the neighboring counties are little better. That whole region would fall apart if not for the life support the economy gets from the military bases in the area. It’s also a drained swamp and the climate there is more inhospitable than almost anywhere else I’ve been in the country and I’ve been all over it. It’s miserable there, which is probably why everyone there kills each other all the fucking time.
