edgy antiheroes work and have worked since the late 60's and so are easy to write because they have decades of cliches to rely on, writing characters like Kevin or Tony Soprano requires originality which isn't allowed in art anymore

I laughed so hard when his otherside spy persona turned out to be named Kevin Harvey. Like "nono I'm not Kevin Garvey, I am Kevin... Blarvey". Its just so comically similar it sounds made up on the spot.
