He's likable as fuck but he's better as a side character honestly.
Carson Price
He’s hit or miss. School of Rock and Brutal Legend were awesome
Chase Sanchez
I like that Foo Fighters song Learn to Fly
Jaxson Lopez
He was at his best in Bernie.
Ethan Brooks
I've never really liked any of his movies.
Zachary Cox
Based gnomejew
Isaiah Rodriguez
he is a convert so he isnt ethnically hebrew afaik
Justin Wood
Can be top tier, but his on screen persona is pretty transparently an act. He's just a normal jew from Santa Monica who was bar mitzvah'd and has a family. Probably a nice guy. Can't help but find that disappointing.
Jace Torres
>Jack’s mother is from a Jewish family (of Russian Jewish descent). Jack’s father converted to Judaism when marrying Jack’s mother, and Jack was raised Jewish.
Noah Thomas
He's been in some dumb movies but he's been in some where he's petty great, like Bernie. I love Tenacious D, that first album is a legitimate classic, although I have a feeling that it's Kyle doing most of the heavy lifting musically. That assumption is based on nothing though.
Alexander Young
thanks for the correction
Nicholas Ortiz
Kyle is an amazing musician and I wouldn't be surprised if you're right but Jack can definitely sing well.
Jackson Richardson
family man, he isn't the best actor but its clear he never wanted to be, took some serious roles but hes overall a funny type cast.
His personal interviews are nice, you can tell hes a good man.
Noah Cooper
All the guitar playing is Kyle, he's literally classically trained. Tenacious D would really suck without him, those lixx are tasty.
John Rogers
You obviously havent been paying attention to the jumanji threads
James Adams
Haven't been in them since I haven't watched it yet. Waiting for the VOD or bluray release since I dislike going out to theaters unless it's something really cinematic.
Anthony Bailey
He was great in Jackson's King Kong which is the only role i can remember where he wasn't comic relief.
Elijah Johnson
Really inspired casting though I still can't get over the fact he has the last line of spoken dialogue in the film.
Leo Brown
Right but I mean as far as the writing goes. Jack probably does lyrics but I wonder if he is involved much in the actual music composition. You get a songwriting credit just for lyrics so you can't really tell if he contributes to the music much or if Kyle does the whole thing himself and then hands Jack a completed song and melody to write lyrics over.
Jace Sanders
I think even if all I'd ever seen him in was Jumanji 2, I'd think he was a fine actor. He is incredibly believable as a teenage instagram thot.
Hunter Myers
No question Jack brings a lot to the table with his vocal skills. Unsure about who gets songwriting credit though.
Benjamin Nguyen
They both take songwriting credit but that's what I'm saying, because you get songwriting credit for lyrics it's impossible to tell if he is involved in the songwriting outside of the lyrics. And I'd be more impressed if Jack was involved in the songwriting because they've written some great songs. Being pretty good at singing is one thing, that's cool and all, but if he contributed musically to the albums then I'm really impressed.
Lucas Sullivan
Seems like a likable guy.
School of Rock is a classic. He's been great in other movies like Bernie.
As this poster said:
He plays a perfect thot in Jumanji and made what I thought was an enjoyable movie even better.
Asher Gutierrez
From what i read about the song tribute, Jack mostly comes up with the song ideas and they exchange ideas when they write the music.
Sebastian Wood
"Song idea" doesn't really mean anything to me. I want to know who wrote the melody and chord progression and who arranged it and that sort of thing.
Colton Myers
>I want to know who wrote the melody and chord progression and who arranged it and that sort of thing.
I can almost guarantee you that Kyle does all that.
Jaxson Williams
Right that's my guess too but you never know maybe Jack can write a pretty good vocal melody.
Joseph Baker
Yeah I could actually see Jack writing all the vocal stuff.
Hudson Stewart
Writing a melody is one thing but the project is grounded in Gass. Jack is the idea and vocalist (front man) and Kyle lays the bedrock with for real playing and arranging chops.
Luis Butler
Triples confirm. Praise be to Gass.
Nathaniel Gray
I really like Nacho Libre, despite how bad it is. I'm a sucker for Napoleon Dynamite too, so it's either nostalgia or I just like the Hess brothers.
William Rogers
He's a good actor, but he really let himself go around 2004 or so. He's also been in a fair share of quite bad films.
Tenacious D was great, pick of destiny was a decent follow up to it, everything else I've seen him in was lame. But I've heard the new Jumanji was decent too.
Blake King
He had a good song in the Probot album too
Easton Cruz
Nacho Libre and Pick Of Destiny are kino.
Landon Parker
>he is a convert But that's even worse
Dylan Wilson
this.
Nathaniel Ross
Jack black should of won an oscar for nacho libre
Caleb Perez
(((HE'S))) (((A))) (((JOOOOOOO))) xD amirite my alt right brothers? PRAISE KEK
Samuel Foster
is thatta way mate
I like Jack Black, he plays samey kinda characters but PoD is a great movie I watch every year and I'm not even a stoner.
Parker Rogers
He was funny when I was 13-14 years old. When I see him "act" now, I can't help but cringe at how horrible he is. youtube.com/watch?v=sH4t3Xca6qA
Just horrible. I just want to die. Fucking chinks. Fucking Americans. Just kill yourselves.
Michael Gomez
He's great when he isn't Jack Black.
Colton Morris
>He was funny when I was 13-14 years old. it sounds like you forgot to have fun.
Christian Hughes
He's great in roles or projects you can tell he really wanted to be in. Anything else though not so much.
Nathan Mitchell
>jewish The proper term is 'best American'
Evan Wright
He's great tons of kino Airborrne, Orange County, school of rock, tenacious d, bernie was good also be kind rewind was a nice flick
Noah Murphy
He looked super uncomfortable smoking weed on Getting Doug.
Levi Morales
He was great in Tropic Thunder.
Brody Gutierrez
He looked better with that blond buzzcut desu.
Isaiah Reyes
A tryhard lovable goof but I grew up with his shenanigans courtesy of the Foo Fighters so I might be biased.
Gavin Rodriguez
kind of a place holder for this dude
did they ever make a movie together?
Cooper Perez
Because Doug is a literal retard, that has people who smoked occasionally years ago, hit snoop dogg super-junkie level wax dabs and the like. If he'd actually consider the proper dosage for people, they'd probably feel better while doing the show.
Evan Harris
I would be fine if high fidelity was just him fucking with people
Jeremiah Torres
Fat, unattractive, obnoxious, disheveled. reminds Sup Forums too much of their own selves to they ignore he exists.
Parker Carter
Look into my eyes and then you will see one and one makes two, two and one makes three it's destiny!
Brandon Fisher
He's unironically perfect in the Kung Fu panda films. Literally the perfect casting for the character.
Dylan Russell
His live immigrant song performance was fantastic. He can definitely sing
