Disney would ruin it.

Self-contained animated movie. And it'd be tight.

>Animated Superman musical by Disney with Alan Tudyk as Mr Myx
Make it so

DC and Marvel cinematic crossover.

Boy, you are a complete idiot.

You act like companies never lost the rights of their IPs before.

Kingdom Hearts III pushed back to 2020

He'd be in the Renew your Vows universe with Lois and John so we can have some family fun time between him and Spidey's family. Also, John could date Annie.

Yeah, a classic Disney Superman animated film would be fantastic and comfy.

Only when their IP has no value.

Superman is one of the most famous characters on planet Earth, has been for getting close to a hundred years, and is thus one of the most valuable IPs there are. Warner Bros. is nearly as huge a media conglomerate as Disney and has no reason to ever sell DC or Superman any more than Disney does for Mickey Mouse.

Also, Disney would never buy DC because they believe Marvel and DC are competing brands. It's the same as how they'd never buy Dreamworks, they've spent a lot of time and money touting themselves as a superior brand and it would actually hurt their own brands if they tried to buy them.

unless they go the WWE route where they go out of their way to make their acquisitions look bad instead of utilizing them properly?

>Disney buys the rights to Superman from DC
>Just Superman
>DC no longer allowed to print Superman from that point forward
>Must not come up with a way to expel him from canon
>Must completely re-shoot and re-write Justice League to remove the inevitable Superman returning plotline
>Disney then merges Superman into the MCU as a surprise appearance in infinity war
>Disney recasts Superman with Channing Tatum
>mfw it turns out to be the greatest portrayal of Superman in film since Christopher Reeve

>thinking any of this is a good idea
Ike please

A Disney Superman has the potential to be amazing. I stress the word potential. I don't think it would be a good thing, but if you could channel some of the old school Disney magic in to it, it could be the best Superman movie ever made.

Superman is replaced by a transgender gay black Superman.

We would get a movie adaptation of the Spiderman x Superman crossover.

OP did say "happens IF" so this all hypothetical, if he said "happens WHEN" then you can sperg out.

They turn him into a douchebad that love trading quips with his enemies before every single fight

total protonic reversal
cats and dogs living together

>musical
Kill yourself

Just answer the hypothetical. Stop being a baby

It'd be interesting if any anti-monopolistic laws would come into play if Disney started acquiring the rights to DC characters.

Luckily that will never happen. Warner Brothers owns Superman 100%, they make too much money off his merch alone.

Tatum is literally working on Gambit right now so it's not happening.

Hopefully something like this. This was done by a Disney animator.

Might as well. DC only cares about Batman and now Wonder Woman. They will be the king and queen of DC. It's only a matter of time before the replace Clark on the Trinity with Aquaman.

Waid would get his chance to piss on whatever integrity the character had left

TV show by Scott Buck

I'd be all in favor of an animated series with Superman - hopefully, with the new platform, this will actually happen. It would be a good place to put Rebirth Superman on for synergy and that, alone, would make it distinct from anything that has come before, since we haven't had an animated Superman be married, much less as a father. It would probably also drive comic book sales.

I don't think it's necessary for Disney to be the one to animate. WB Animation does an excellent job, their main problem has been when they are being forced to make movies for reasons other than pure creative desires (e.g. being forced to make the COO's shitty canon, as with the Cereal King's Throne, Flashpoint, War, etc. movies) or because they filmed movies with the intent of fitting into a 90 minute Cartoon Network slot, so things like Justice League New Frontier or All Star Superman could only be so long.

Other than that, realistically, it won't happen. AT&T has bought Warner Brothers. The last thing they are going to do is to sell IP to anyone.

They make a mediocre action comedy
Normies circlejerk as if it's the best thing ever and forget about it

Superman would be a nigger

If it was just the movie rights, Marvel Comics would probably have a aneurysm. If it includes the comics... oh the horror. It is too terrible to imagine.

already a thing in DC, desu

Still not as good as the Fleischer originals.

They'd turn him into one of the Victim Class. A gay female, a black, a Muslim, etc.

Whatever is currently in the news cycle as the fresh, hot and new victim. Like if Trump said "Gender Fluid people suck" literally the week before "Superman" would be gender fluid.

And by "turn him into", I mean they'd make "Superman" a legacy title and replace him with some other individual.

Pick unrelated.

He will have an ok PG-13 live action movie with quips.
