Why did people enjoy this soy? The action scenes weren't very good, Samuel L Jackson had a weak performance, the soundtrack was generic, the story was kinda a snoozer.

'cuz fuck church

It's the most reddit movie ever conceived

'cuz reddit

because in an era where the Bond franchise has become edgelord garbage, it's nice to see a British super spy movie that's campy and over-the-top

I've been saying this from the start. this film gets an inexplicable pass on this board and i don't know why! Purest shite

Coz it filled the gap after James Bond went full real. Old Bond movies had a bit of goofy fun, new ones don't. Kingsman found that niche and filled it.

hey guys luke here

The Sean Connery Bond movies weren't meant to be campy and over-the-top though, that didn't start until later. Bond isn't necessarily a stupid character, like this stupid Kingsman movie.

>The action scenes weren't very good
What the fuck do you consider good action scenes, then?

Because it's a bond franchise for a new generation with a new fresh take of action and humor. Also it doesn't take itself seriously.

too bad they fucked it up with the sequel

I just realized what Gazelles blades are

The action scenes were pretty good, especially the one in the church.
I would have liked to see the general reaction if the church slaughter scene took place in one of the many little backroom mosques that Europe has where hatred and the destruction of the West is preached, though

>tfw Gazelle is the mummy

>The Sean Connery Bond movies weren't meant to be campy and over-the-top though
The only non-campy Connery Bond movie is From Russia, with Love, and even that has a greater sense of joy and adventure than any of the last four films

My point is, to people who miss the days when 007 was fun, Kingsman is a breath of fresh air. I don't care how stupid the movie is, it's still better than watching Daniel Craig's depressed feminist "James Bond" which is as soy as it fucking gets

In contrast, you have Eggsy fucking the Princess of Sweden in the ass in Kingsman. Yes please

Which is funny because I liked the second one more.

I agree with what you've said but this part is pure cringe memery
>Daniel Craig's depressed feminist "James Bond" which is as soy as it fucking gets

I don't like the way the edited the action scenes. I get it's obviously intentional but I dunno, the sped up thing got on my nerves.

>everyone praises this one
>Golden Circle apparently trash

For people who saw it how shit is it actually in comparison?

except it's true

Daniel Craig has even said as much in interviews. Compare the way Bond behaves toward women in the 60s/70s/80s/90s to how Craig's Bond acts. There's an obvious difference

I like it more. I hate Samuel L Jackson so Moore is a lot better. Soundtrack is fantastic, the new characters are good, and the action is top notch.

Drive

Both are ridiculous and crazy, the problem with Golden Circle is that it's overstuffed. Too much shit going on to the point where it becomes headache-inducing and you no longer care about what is happening

of course it's different but it's not soy feminism just because he's acting more like a normal person... unless you think men should act like women are nothing but fuck holes

It's literally the same fucking shit, there's just more of it. The first one really is overpraised. It's serviceable enough but nothing amazing. I think people just wanted a more 'lol so fun' Bond and this gave it to them.

it was actually all around pretty good on all those parts try harder closetsoy

because it had a good actor who was white people could identify with

youtube.com/watch?v=oGpXhocxNsI

also Jrob is up. best battlefront 2 player there is

cause it was amusing with fun action scenes

Not that guy but you're a meme

>headache inducing
Hate to be the guy to point out the fact you're mentally deficient.

I was using hyperbole. It's not soy feminism but compared to old Bond it might as well be.

I don't want Bond to be a normal person. I want him to be a male chauvinist who throws around one-liners and loves his job.

And this doesn't mean I think it's okay to act that way in real life, James Bond shouldn't be a role model he's supposed to be wish fulfillment.

you're the meme craigbabby

there is a love side plot in golden circle that's really out of place and poorly done, for me that's the difference, other than that they're similar

Basically this

You seriously thought that was good ? That horrible shitfest, that pseudo long take, which is in fact, a series of badly done cuts, with cheap cgi hidden by motion blur to transition between those cuts and make believe that’s a single shot? It’s 10 times worse that the man of steel final battle, but at least, man of steel had the budget to make it look less cheap. It’s exactly the same fucking technique used in the excalibur battle in guy ritchie’s king arthur, except everybody laughed and cringed at that scene. I don’t understand the praise of this fedora scene.

I loved the first one so when I saw the poor reviews for the second one I was disappointed but wanted to give it a shot. It was so much worse than the reviews make it out to be, holy shit was it bad. The trailer was so intentionally misleading, you'd think Channing Tatum would, you know, actually play a role but he was in the movie for all of 15 minutes. The plot was so unbelievably contrived and nonsensical with bringing Colin Firth back for no reason other than "he's popular", there was no tension ever, the actors were wooden, it was a complete mess. It was so goddamn bad and it is time and money I'm never going to get back.

Camp is fun

its fine, I dont understand what the fuck people expected in a sequel to kingsman

Of course it wasn't a single shot, and it's impossible to point out where they cut to new footage. If that's a poorly done scene, I wonder what you think of old action scenes that were just gasoline-fueled explosions and jump cuts.

Not some romance bullshit, that's for sure.

>bringing Colin Firth back for no reason other than "he's popular",

What a great way to ruin an actual dramatic moment from your first entry.

I would have appreciated the action more if it didn't all look like the escape scene from Fury Road. What the fuck was up with that

>more bad ass than Bond

>except it's true
>Daniel Craig has even said as much in interviews.
This is JK Rowling levels of retconning for PR. Craig's Bond is the most rapey in years.

giv mummy gf

It was a good time that didn't take itself too seriously. A solid b movie. Not nearly as good as John wick

Not every religious group is like that. The movie condemns extreme hate groups like WBC which Sup Forums has proven to be against

Almost like we live in a different time with different ideals

the nigger is the bad guy and the good guys are white. it's nice for a change

>Sup Forums is against extreme hate groups
not that it's good, but topkek

>people actually think this is a good scene

Good lord you must be a treat to be around.

>British boy is taught by stylish British man how not to be a piece of degenerate scum
>Is trained in a traditionally British institution with nothing but white people
>Saves the blonde-haired, blue-eyed Swedish princess from getting culturally enriched by a crazy nigger and his brown bitch

Yeah very soy. I can why a nigger like yourself didn't like it, OP.

Don't forget Michael J Fox being the camera man

>calling one of the few Conservative blockbusters of the last few years "soy"

>>Is trained in a traditionally British institution with nothing but white people

You would have thought they'd have at least one token black person, but nope... every single one was white. In this day and age that's unheard of.

I don't know why anyone likes Craigbond.

>church

That isn't a church, it's a cult pretending to be Christians in a building that is a facsimile of a church.

Which are wrong. Treating women with disdain is the proper way to go about it unless you find one that's good enough to marry.

...

It has a big of old school Hong Kong John Woo action about it.

Except it's like someone trying too hard to copy him

i m in love

Call me a soccer mom but I was pretty disgusted by the heads blowing up making fireworks
And I'm a type of person who can stand any type of gore, violence, sexual content in movies - if it serves a purpose
I don't like it when something as disgusting as blowing up hundreds of innocent people's heads gets to be a joke with comedic music playing. It's too much for me.

English class and style is always fun

it was a little too kick-ass-y for my taste, but I guess thats the director's gimmick.

I wouldn't mind a spy movie like this with a little less gore, but other people seem to like it

Why do you faggots hate this film so much? I can't think of a mainstream movie in the last 10 years that was more fun and brilliantly paced than this.

The film is a live action cartoon spy fantasy. And it actually understood how to make it's subject matter a bit sensitive while being edgy for stupid teens. Golden Circle was just an ugly, mean spirited movie that completely misunderstood what made the first one so much fun.

It's like executives stepped in and said "make it more vulgar because people want gross shit" completely misunderstanding the use of any vulgarity in the first film. It was so irritatingly bad. I fucking hated that they brought back Firth's character and cucked him the whole movie. I didn't want to see that. I wanted to see his relationship with Eggsy grow instead of him being a useless retard for 7/8's of the film until the movie called for an action scene.

Also, Whiskey did nothing wrong. Fucking trash film.

Because I have a hard on for Colin Firth and Mark Strong, ok?

but I liked Jackson in that movie. He was kinda different from all other characters he plays but also quite similar at the same time

It's good because there hasn't been many spy parody films recently and this wasn't Austin Powers: The Spiritual Successor but a half-way house. Perhaps you didn't like it because your crippling autism couldn't deal with the fact it switched been campy spy film and serious James Bond SAVE DA WURLD stuff. Who knows. The only thing I have to say bad about it is that it's rather long. The final act is overlong and could have been cut a lot.

>I would have liked to see the general reaction if the church slaughter scene took place in one of the many little backroom mosques that Europe has where hatred and the destruction of the West is preached, though
>bwaaaaah muh destruction of the west muh h8atred
SHUT THE FUCK UP AND FUCK OFF BACK TO ISRAEL, DIRTY KIKE

>soy

Do you really expect to be taken seriously when you put this word in your post?

Mark Strong is pretty based. Shame he didn't really become as big as you'd expect him to be. I recently watched Brothers Grimsby and it's quite shocking to see Mark Strong do these things. I wonder if he actually read the script at the shit he had to do.

mark strongs accent in this makes me moist

The first one was fun.

The second one was bloated as fuck and not great.

It's good, no idea why anyone would dislike it if they enjoy the first one. Weaker villain though.

The sequel was better than the first

both are kino. Idk why the critics trashed the sequel it was better than the first. This was the opinion of me and my friend when we say it

it seemed like jackson was having a fun time doing that role

could you imagine tom cruise kek

imdb.com/title/tt2802144/trivia?item=tr2298300

Golden Circle > Kingsmen

Eh Tom Cruise had done similar in Tropic Thunder. The McDonalds 'Totally Not Product Placement' Scene would have been great with Tom though. Was my favourite scene of the film.

It has a walloping dose of redditry and nu-maleism about it too.

Wow, those buzzwords sure showed him

He's right though. We never get a "sticking it to religious groups" scene from jewish dominated hollywood in opposition to any other group besides christians. Theres a blatant double standard here

>everything popular is bad

go back to jesus christ

They're called buzzwords because they sting faggots like you. Buzzword is also a buzzword in it's own definition you fuckwit

You are showing your soy, bro.

Maybe because Christians and Muslims are the only two groups that loudly scream hateful rhetoric for everyone to hear? Now I'm not saying most of these groups do, it's a minority of Muslims, and a vast, VAST minority of Christians, but they are there.

Even my captcha thinks your post is top wew.

It had good action scenes, a strong performance from Samuel L. Jackson, original soundtrack, and exciting story.

but when was the last time a major character in a hollywood film walked into a madras or a muslim country and systematically and cynically deconstructed absolutely everything they live by to their faces?

There's a lot of fags hiding out on this board who get off on that sassy boi they cast in the lead.

It's like a live action Jo Jo.

Is that a JoJo reference?

This is reddit and nu-maleism to you?

>waaah Christians are the most oppressed group in America

>the most oppressed group
lol this is the oppression olympics, is it?

Maybe this isn't what you mean, that's fair, but a lot of Sup Forumstards do. I'm just saying that with how many groups are being persecuted IRL, having a movie be mean to a very evil subgroup of your tribe isn't a real issue.

wasn't the point of the movie that it was ordinary people that turned evil from the sim card

the church setting probably just made it more grotesque

it could have been or mall instead

but when was the last time? answer the question, hollywood is dominated by jews so how about when was the last time this was done in the case of the jewish faith?

Sofia Boutella and Colin Firth were great.

Too bad they weren't better used. Like all of Miller's shit, it was tryhard as fuck.
