I did, but Sup Forums didn't because they're contrarians and/or autists

meh

Yes, best sci-fi of the 2010s

>LOVE CAN TRANSCEND SPACE TIME LMAO

the most dishonest film in the last 20 years, nolan is a hack

I dunno about that man, there have been so many great sci-fi films this decade. I'd give that to Edge of Tomorrow so far.

>movie called interstellar
>character called ian terstellar

>best sci fi
its actually Avatar, that movie pushed technology ahead by 5 years alone

Nobody respond to the bait above me.

>Avatar
>2010s

>there have been so many great sci-fi films this decade.

there literally hasn't been a single great sci-fi film since arguably the Matrix. There's been a few good ones this decade, but it's definitely been the worst decade for the genre yet

Why was True Detective in space? I think he was an atheist so he can't believe in space

I never understood why they would ever consider that planet that had that delay in time, the one with the waves.
Disregarding the waves completely, it seems like it would be a tremendously stupid idea to be on a planet where the rest of the universe goes forward in time exponentially faster than you. Something, quite literally anything, could happen. You could be taking a shit, but since that theoretically could take 1000 years a bunch of asteroids are lined up right at you and you wouldn't know cause early detection kinda doesn't work for your slow ass

Fuck yeah. Amazing film.

honestly amazing

it was pretty damn good till Hathaway's character started crying.

I'd imagine the chances of anything crashing into a planet orbitting a black hole would be so small as to be effectively zero, its gravitation pull in comparison would barely exist. They certainly knew it would be dangerous, but they also mention after coming through the wormhole that the planet is a lot closer to the black hole than they thought. I'd think approaching the heat death of the universe quicker would be the biggest problem living there.

It's a nice, pleasant, aesthetically great, science fiction film. If you don't look to it as anything more than that, then I'd give it a solid 7.6/10

SPREA SPREA SPREA SPREA SPREA SPREAD EA EAG EA EA EAGLE CRO CROSS CROSS THE BLO BLO LO LO LO LO BLOOOOCK

I thought it was pretentious shit. Like the score though. And that MURPH shouting was so ridiculous

>pretentious
How? I don't recall anything being shown that wasn't necessary to the plot, not was it deep or abstract.

Top film

...

Maybe that's what bothered me. It wasn't deep and abstract, while a lot of people (including this board) told me it was. I thought I was going to see a thought provoking movie. But in the end it just had pretty scenes and a good score, but not a very interesting story.

I liked it.
