So what's the consensus on this shitty movie?

So what's the consensus on this shitty movie?
>17% on RT

I enjoyed like 30 min or so. Plays out a lot like that other space horror film from last year.. Life or whatever. The last half is pretty stupid

>Sup Forums agrees with rotten tomatoes
oh how the times have changed

It was actually really interesting, its just annoying that they didn't even talk about the actual monsters or aliens, they need to fuck off with these prequels.

there is shit, but then there is cloverfield paradox

>Event Horizon + Black Mirror + a bit of Gravity
>Throw the Clovermeme monster in at the end

>muh multiculturalism
>muh anything can happen when two dimensions collide
>muh not enough debicki
pretty fucking garbage desu

>"three black actors?!"
>"THREE?!?!?!"

It had a lot of stupid shit, but also some shit that made it worth watching. It has a 5.8 on IMBd, which is much closer to what it actually is than the stupid percentage system of RT. The moment Debicki regains her strength is when the movie begins to lower in quality

Too rushed and directed by an incompetent, self-described nigger

are you retarded? if a flick like "woody woodpecker" comes out and is absolute cash-in crap that critics and Sup Forums's posters can all see, then of course we'd agree. this movie is no different

Three you say?

Literal brainlet detected. This site is not about coming to a consensus about whether a movie is "good' or "bad." It's about breaking it down and having a discussion. I think the website you're looking for is reddit.

re-read your original post you fucking moron. try harder

>american is a nigger
>two main brits are a nigger and her nigger doctor husband
>a hue monkey literally named "monk"
>chink that doesn't say a single word of english apart from people's names

the director of the movie's first "film"

Part of good film criticism is challenging the popular opinion. You should always, ALWAYS, disagree with rotten tomatoes.

Fine, I loved the Emoji Movie! It really challenged my brainsmarts. Glad I'm not reddit now

kill yourself you fucking tryhard faggot

I liked it. Good while high on WEED BRO

What did you like about the Emoji Movie?

There is not a single redeemable thing about the Emoji movie

I like how high-brow the humor was and how there aren't any product placements. The message of using your phone more often really resonated with me. The critics over at that LAME-O rotten tomatoes site were hallucinating or something

saw it the night it dropped, i was psyched for it and movie delivered. if you see it as its own movie, dont expect use multiverse shit and see it basically as final destination in space it's really fun dumb entertainment

>just turn you're brain off

>I like how high-brow the humor was and how there aren't any product placements. The message of using your phone more often really resonated with me. The critics over at that LAME-O rotten tomatoes site were hallucinating or something
so you'd say it takes a high iq to enjoy it

yeah usually when I'm drunk and I am watching a movie post-superbowl, I'm not looking for 1947 hungary post-avantgard kino, sue me

I think out of the new Alien movie, that Life movie, Gravity, Interstellar, etc. this one was definitely the worst one in the past decade.

>character aboard a space station tries to kill everyone else

Have writers learned nothing from the decades of space movies we've had already?

Fucking this. I had a really good time watching it and then came on here to see Sup Forums throwing on autismal fit.

I feel powerful because I post on Sup Forums.

All I have to do in the kinoplex is mention I'm a regular Sup Forums poster, and instantly, like a flick of the switch, people stop and pay attention to my words. From that point on, I become known as a dark, dangerous poster with an untold amount of cyber-weaponry at my disposal. People fear me, and I take full advantage of that fact.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't known across the internet. Sometimes the pressure to uphold my reputation feels too great. But then I relax. I take deep breaths. And I remember how people freeze when I post "black panther can suck my cock". I remember how they massreport me to the rotten tomatoes based on my reputation alone. I remember how they cower in fear, knowing that if they were to make one mistake, one misstep, there would be another bombshell exposure of capeshit.

And all is good in the world once more. My power restored.

It was okay but I think the Cloverfield connection hurt it more than anything.

>Fucking this. I had a really good time watching it and then came on here to see Sup Forums throwing on autismal fit.
thats why i love horror movies and find it the one community about movies thats not obnoxious

when you're watching horror flicks, you're used to watching tons of mediocre shit in order to find a gem and basically 'was i entertained' becomes your metric. then you avoid being a bitter nerd who throws fucking fits about capeshit or oscar bait alike

>I think out of the new Alien movie, that Life movie, Gravity, Interstellar, etc. this one was definitely the worst one in the past decade.
>saying this
>in a world where prometheus exists

Yes precisely. My expectations were that it would be like Pandorum or Event Horizon, and with those expectations I was very entertained.

>Yes precisely. My expectations were that it would be like Pandorum or Event Horizon, and with those expectations I was very entertained.
yeah exactly I was hoping for something like Event Horizon and while it was definitely not as dark as that, it worked perfectly well as Final Destination in Space and had plenty of hilarious deaths

Also Life was much better than Alien:Covenant

I haven't watched it but critics will attack it relentlessly because it is a Netflix movie.

Their is real fear coming from the established players every time Netflix makes a movie.
